Heya Aspiring Gurus!
Are you guys loving my new titles? I am having fun creating them. I’ve been using song titles or lyrics and it’s been really fun getting into my more creative side. I have watched a few more movies, so I decided to do another Entertainment Monthly post. I’ve been watching more Youtube than actual movies/tv lately. I just discovered a few ones on Netflix though, so I think I can have another entertainment post up before the end of the month. I also finished one of my books for April, so I am planning to put up a review this coming Friday.
The Equalizer
Okay, so I watched this movie because it has Chloe Grace Mortez in it. My dad wanted to see this movie, because it has Denzel Washington in it. We were both equally surprised at how good this movie was. It was very action packed and sucked you into the story. Of course, it had unbelievable parts in it that made me cringe, but it was otherwise very good and worth watching. There is blood and violence, so if you are sensitive to that, I would skip it. This is one of the best action packed movies that I have watched in a while.

St. Vincent
I thought this was a funny and cute movie. I didn’t think it was the best that it could of be, but it is what it is. It is a crude comedy that also has a very serious side to it, which I was not expecting based on the commercials. I actually cried during this movie. Some parts were so SAD! If you are looking for laughs and a feel good movie, this one would be the one for you.

The Maze Runner
After the letdown that was The Giver, I was not expecting much from The Maze Runner and I couldn’t have been more wrong. This was simply amazing and so true to the book. I am looking forward to the next movie for more explanation on what is going on. Are they the only kids left on earth or something? I want to know what is going on! I am reading these books before the movie one at a time with each movie, so I don’t spoil the suspense. lol. I know, I’m a weird one.

Left Behind
I watched this movie for Chad Michael Murray, because I have loved him since A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff in it. He was so good in this movie and everyone one’s acting was great. It was the cheap special effects that made this movie a lot less enjoyable and the fact that there will not be a sequel to it to tie up loose ends. It was a nice movie and I don’t regret watching it. I just wish it had better effects and that there would be a sequel so I can see Chad again.

The Other Woman
This was just as good as Danielle told me it would be. This was so funny and very woman empowering which you don’t see enough of in Hollywood. I thought that this was sweet and I would watch it again. Kate Upton was great in this. I can really see her becoming an actress. The girl has got talent. Diaz was of course, marvelous in this, but she needs to play more roles than just all the uptight ones.

With Love,
Is it weird to say my favorite Cameron Diaz role is Princess Fiona in Shrek? She’s always playing an uptight or mean character and she can be funny so I don’t know why.
It’s wierd. I like her better if she played fun characters. She seems stuck or comfortable in one role. I imagine her to be a nice and funny lady especially in interviews.
I love the Shrek movies though! She’s done a lot of older movies I want to see, like the sweetest thing and there’s something about Mary. Maybe she won’t be so typecast because they’re old t. But she seems so outspoken and funny in interviews
Yesh! That is what I’m saying! I really like her.
I hate when good actresses get typecast. Like Melissa McCarthy lately only seems to be playing either police women or criminals, and they’re always mean but with a soft side. It’s like everyone forgot she played Sookie on Gilmore girls for 7 years!
Lol. I didn’t know that was her! Wow. But yeah, people seem to get type cast into the same roles over and over like Tom Cruise.
Yes it is! She looks younger as it was sort of a while ago, but I guess I made my point by saying that. I think the only movie I’ve seen with Tom cruise in it is risky business, which is an older one. I know he does mostly action movies now.
Yep or comedies.
I don’t care for Tom Cruise much so I haven’t seen many movies he is in. I just know there are a lot of mission impossible movies.
I think there are seven….one too many.
Isn’t there a new one coming soon? I’m sure he doesn’t mind because they make good money, but I’m sick of all these action movies.
ME TOO! DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT TOM CRUISE! lol
But can you picture him in a romantic comedy? Actually risky business is sort of a romantic comedy, but that was nearly 30 years ago.
Nah. He’s too narcissistic for that.
I think he did some when he was younger but not as an ~~established actor.
Ooooh. So fancy.
