June Empties

Another month gone and another month of empties. June was a light month for me and I didn’t really use up that many products. I did use up a few products that I haven’t reviewed before so as usual there will be a lot of product reviews this month. I’m going to try to have a post up everyday in July. Hopefully, I can keep this up the whole entire month. I plan on heading out to swim after I write this, so I’m glad it was a short month!

      1. Well, long story short, Dean has a severe lip tie and a moderate tongue tie that isn’t too bad. Unfortunately, Dean won’t be able to have the surgery until he is 3 years old, because of the severity of the lip tie and he has teeth, they will have to sedate him. The doctor’s at Harvard wants to wait until it’s safe to do the procedure. Unfortunately, Dean got screwed over and has to deal with it for another year and a half. This experience taught me to listen to myself and get that second opinion. He will be seeing his pedi next week I think and I’m going to get a referral to a pedi neurologist and developmental specialist. I’m getting my second opinion on his brain to see if that severe vacume cut could have caused brain damage/swelling to possibly be why he is having a hard time with language and the development specialist will evaluate him for any learning disabilities such as autism. My family and John’s have history of mental handicaps and learning disabilities. I want to know now if he’s really okay. At times, I feel like he is in the low spectrum for autism. I need to get these second opinions. I can still sue UMASS for my issues during birth. I will only sue if Dean has something wrong with his brain. I’m not worried about his brain. I just want to be positive on that. He’s happy and healthy, but if he loses weight and we can’t supplement his diet, than I might have no choice but to cut his ties before it is truly safe to do so. But that’s a last resort. I feel better. I like his pedi, but he was wrong about the ties. I’m going to take him to two specialists to make sure he isn’t wrong about anything else.

      2. Wow. That’s really unfortunate, though at least you are now certain of what is going on and what to look for for the next year and a half. It is definitely best to have a second opinion, if for no other reason than your own peace of mind. Hopefully all will be well with his brain, but if the hospital did end up causing damage you should definitely sue.

      3. It’s a lot to take in and once he has those other appointments, Ill be talking to a lawyer. I have my records from UMass on my birth, which they admit to giving me too much drugs. I have a case for sure but not sure how strong. If I do sue, I’m just looking for money to put a down payment on a house. Anything extra would be his college fund. Hopefully, Dean is healthy otherwise. I’m thinking about sueing for my damages. I still can’t feel my stomach too well. I hardly have sensation there. My c section should have never been an emergency. I requested one 6 hours before over and over to the nurses. All they did was up my pain meds.

      4. I would hope the hospital caused no harm to Deans overall well being. And I definitely agree they should have given you a c section much earlier. It’s really strange they waited so long as it could have negatively impacted both yours and Deans health.

      5. There was no doctor. They had to call a doctor in that night. Also, the reason why I think that I have a good case against them. I was treated my nurses and looked in a couple of times by the Resident doctor.

      6. I agree. As someone who knows very little about legal conditions and giving birth, you’re story is definitely odd and of special circumstance. It’s not like it was an accident, they were not listening to your requests and seem to be in no position to have been handling your case.

      7. They ignored me and made me sign the papers. If I wasn’t in the condition to request, how was I in the condition to consent? What they did made no sense.

      8. Calling. A lawyer for me only. Dean actually might have autism on the lower end of the spectrum. He is seeing a developmental pediatrician who is also a neurologist. Two birds with one stone. Took the day off today because Dean got a shot.

  1. If they don’t call to book an appointment tomorrow, I will call them. An appointment is usually booked two months out. So around September or October. Lawyer is supposed to call tomorrow to see if they will take my case. I got declined by one. If this one declines, Ill give up on it. I’m going to my yearly physical and will ask for a back referral for my back pain.
