Walmart Summer Beauty Box

After seeing what my best friend got in her Walmart beauty box, I feel a little disappointed that I didn’t get those press on gel nails. I’m still happy with my summer box and I cannot complain when I only paid $5 for everything. The theme is Radiate Your Beauty and it contained a whole lot of summer essentials. I love that everything is travel friendly in case I decided to go to Maine for the day. I like to wash my hair in those shower stalls instead of waiting to go home, when everyone would rush for the bathroom back in my youth.

I love the colors and overall design of the box this season. It looks like a beautiful sunset and the perfect size to put a book inside of. I like to protect my paperbacks by the pool when not in use and this box would be perfect for that purpose.

Schwarzkopf Got 2B Ultra Glued Invincible Styling Gel = $0.88

hair

Like I said in my Sephora Play post yesterday, I like to put some type of hair product in my hair after a shower and this is something that I would add in after my detangler. I am using something else at the moment, so this will be going into storage for now. If my dad runs out of styling gel, I would give him this one to try out. He rarely runs out of hair products though, because he hardly ever uses them. Well, he doesn’t remember to.

Ecotools Mask Remover Sponges = $2.64

face

I am excited for these! Masks are so messy and I know I have a hard time removing them. These sponges will make it so much easier and I will probably do masks more often now. You can reuse these sponges. I’m not sure how long one will realistically last, but since three are under $4 at Walmart, it would be easy to pick up replacements. It’s not that expensive if it works better than a face cloth. I like that you can also use it to make your face wash a bit more exfoliating.

Pantene Dream Care Shampoo & Conditioner = $4.67

I enjoy the scent of these and I will be placing them in my back stock. I am working through my foil packets of shampoo and conditioner right now. Once I finish all of the foil packets, I will move on to these deluxe sizes to make my full size bottle of shampoo and conditioner last a bit longer. My hair needs variety. It gets used to shampoo and then, it will stop working as good. I like constantly changing it up. Everything works on my hair now. It’s amazing. Now, I know if a shampoo stops working, I need to switch to a different one and then I can go back to the other one and it will work again. I never thought hair could really “get used” to shampoo. I think it’s more of my scalp though, not the actual hair.

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion = $1.18

I will be using this on Dean, because Dean has dry skin on his legs and arms. I like to use more natural products on Dean, besides his really artificial shampoo and body wash. I bought baby lotion for him, but it doesn’t moisturize his skin enough. I’ve actually been using his lotion, because it provides light moisture which is what my oily skin needs in the summer. This has a skin protectant, so it will be good for his skin.

Banana Boat Dry Balance SPF 30 Sunscreen = $1.87

face

I am happy to have a back up sunscreen for my face for at the pool and for Dean’s face, too. I don’t like having a greasy sunscreen face, so having a separate sunscreen is essential. Usually, sunscreens will have an expiration date, but this one doesn’t. I would assume that it will be good for a year, so I could still use it next year if I don’t finish it. I’ll put it in my back up stash for now. Wow. I say that a lot.

Soo Ae Nature Vitamin Collage Essence Mask = $2.50

mask

I’m happy that I got a sheet mask in my box, because I’m going through 7 of my masks during the 14 by Fall challenge. It might be a while before I use this mask, but I have tried this brand before and I really like how saturated these are. I look forward to using it when I can.

Foil Packet

Lastly, I got this foil packet sample and it couldn’t have come at a better time. My brushes need a deep cleaning right now and I think I’ll them after this post. Baby shampoo is just not cutting it anymore.

The total of this Walmart box is $13.74 and that is over double of what I paid for this box. I will be using everything in this box and I think it was well worth the $5 investment. What did you get in your box?

With Love ❤

      1. We are going to hit the beach for a few hours and let Dean run around to his heart’s content. Yeah, my brother Adam lives there still, but I’m not planning on seeing him. Not after the wedding fiasco.

      2. Well it looks like the weather was going to be good today so hopefully you have a great time! Right. I knew you occasionally used to go up there to visit family but I can definitely see why you wouldn’t. How long of a drive is it for you guys to go up there? My family went once when I was 4 or 5 so it’s been literally 20 years and I don’t remember most of it.

      3. Lol. It’s one and a half to Wells in the morning when you leave by 4:30. We got there by 6 or a bit past, had breakfast at McDonald’s, and left at 7:30 for the beach. We walked the beach and Dean chased the dogs that were there. We chilled in the car for a bit and made our piece at the beach not far from where we parked. Every 90 minutes I brought him to the car to get him out of the sun. I sunscreened him every 2 hours. We walked a bout 2 miles for food and Dean slept in the stroller. He also slept the 2 miles back. Took 45 minutes to walk it so not bad time. Lol.
