May Empties

I may be late sharing my empties, but I never knew how much I had to share in a month until I cut down my schedule to about 15 posts a month. I’ve been having to switch around the format of my posts and so this one is coming up later in the month than what I like. I basically sit down two Sundays a month now and write posts. I now have two Sundays a month free for classes. I only work on my blog for about 4 hours a month. That only includes writing the posts, not taking the pictures and coming up with the ideas. I am happy with this new pace of my blog. It makes it so I can be a well-rounded person and have time for everything that I want to have time for. It is nice to know that when life gets hectic, I generally have a week or two already planned out on my blog.

You hear about these every month, so I am cutting out the drinks that I purchase without fail every month. You know that I love them or else I wouldn’t have featured them for over a year here on my blog.

Well, I had a lot more empties than I had originally thought. I cannot wait to do my progress update on my 200 pan goal. I have been working on my pictures and I hope you can tell a difference. I think it looks more professional and I have added a bit of brightness to the pictures themselves by staging some lightening. Since I have a bit more time, I thought that I would put more effort into the picture taking themselves. I have a feeling that my empties will be slowing down, because I am running out of mini things. I still have a whole bunch of samples that I need to get through though. I hope you enjoyed looking through my trash today. Reviews are to come. 🙂

With Love,

Selena

  1. Wow, you’re doing an amazing job! I can’t wait for your update on the 200 pan project. You’re using up so much stuff and that’s so inspiring. ❤️

    1. Awe! Thank you. I’d love to use up more makeup. It’s a work in progress though. I am halfway through an eye shadow. I am trying to be more conscious of what I’m buying. Takes a long time to use up. How are you doing on your panning?

      1. I’ve been dealing with finals and extremely hot weather, so I’ve been less motivated to wear makeup which slowed down my progress. Once I come back to writing posts, I’ll do an update on my One month one palette project where I did use up some shades by repurposing them mostly. I might have a bit of progress for my project pan as well, but that’s still less than what I had in mind. I’m moving towards a less is more type of makeup routine which consists of liquid highlighter, a tad of concealer, mascara, brows, eyeliner and maybee a bit of lipgloss or lipbalm. Any type of powder just melts off because of sweat and the oiliness of my skin so I have to give up on it altogether for a while.

      2. The summer is usually when I go less on makeup as well. Too hot to be bothered much really. Good luck on your finals! I am just starting college again. The first day is Monday! I’m getting a head start on my online classes though. What are you going to school for?

    1. Thank you! I try my best to move through my stuff with the thought of I can buy something new. I also use my credit card rewards to treat myself to Sephora. So far, I am at $21. I’m saving my rewards for November, so I can get 15% off. I would love to use up my foundation samples, so I can buy the Too Faced Sweet Peach.

      1. Yeah, because at the 10% I didn’t buy anything. I’d rather wait for the 15% and see if I still really want everything on my list. I’m usually always switching stuff out of my wishlist. I wish they did too. Everyone says that Ulta is better, but since I don’t have one around here, it would be really hard to return stuff if I didn’t like it.

      2. I would probably say Ulta is better because they have way more variety. Each Ulta I’ve been in probably compares in size to a large CVS where Sephora is much smaller. But I understand being hesitant to order from there. I know you can send things back, but I think you have to pay shipping.

      3. Yeah and what if I get something broken? I hear many people say that they have received shattered items from Ulta, but if I get it from Sephora, at least I can return it.

      4. That has never happened to me, but you would think if you contacted customer service they would maybe pay for shipping to return it? It could be annoying to deal with though.
