20 in 2020: April Recap

I am going to start of the post with a recap of where we were at last month:

Total Monetary Amount for 2020: $232.48

Total Full-Sized Products Used Up: 18/20

Total Makeup Products Used Up or Hit Pan In: 2/20

This month will conclude my 20 in 2020 as I will have finished off 20 full sized products. However, I am still continuing my monetary use up and the makeup use up as well. I will probably keep the same title as I want to use up 20 makeup products in 2020 as well. I am really proud that not even half way through the year and I finished up 1 project. Hopefully, I can get them all done this year. Fingers crossed!

Cala Rose Water Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths, $9

These had a great scent and were great as a morning refresher! I don’t use them to remove my makeup. I prefer an oil or cream based cleanser for complete makeup remover, but I enjoy wipes for getting my face clean in the morning after an intense skin care routine at night. I would purchase these again. I bought them at Marshalls. I do recommend them for a morning cleanse. I don’t know how they perform as a makeup remover.

111 Skin Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask, $27

I got these in my FABFITFUN and I love sheet masks! However, these were weird. lol. They are the rubber masks. They are coated in product, instead of being soaked in product like a traditional sheet mask. They are supposed to be better at depuffing better than the traditional sheet mask. I would not know as I don’t have particularly puffy skin. I use eye gels when my eyes get really puffy from allergies or crying. I never have a whole puffy face though. They are nice, but I would not purchase it as I don’t have a particular need for a rubber face mask or a jelly one.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer

I had a mini, so I don’t have a full formed opinion of this, but it was nice. Fresh is not CF, so I would not buy it myself.

Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser

I had a mini, so again, no real opinion of this. I enjoyed using it, but it was a basic cleanser. I would not purchase it for the price, unless I found it at Marshalls for less. I do recommend it as I really liked it as a nice shower cleanser and for no makeup days.

Body Care:

Dean’s Body Wash / Shampoo, $3.69

I loved washing Dean with this product. It is thicker than the other washes and moisturizing. It has a nice slip to it and smells like blueberry oatmeal. It has enough moisture to condition Dean’s thin hair, but I always moisturize his body after a bath/shower. He has a tendency to have dry arms and legs. Dean loves that he gets to play with his T.V. friends in the tub. I keep the empty bottles for him to play with as long as the caps stay intact. They have a tendency to break and I chuck them out when that happens.

Cuccio Somatology Yogahhh! Calm + Clean Epsom Salt Hand + Body Wash, $39.95

This is an okay hand wash. I never used it on my body as it was drying on my hands and I didn’t want to dry out the rest of my skin. The scent was okay. The lather was okay. The product was just okay. It isn’t worth the high price tag. I would not purchase this. It came in my FabFitFun. I did use it up though as I wasn’t about to let it go to waste. This is not something that I recommend.

Just some ah-mazing coffee that I wanted to share and Dean’s CBD oil. This coffee is like the best that I have ever had. Delish.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Perfume, $20

I finished a full size perfume and I am so happy. This was an old perfume in my collection and may have been what broke out my chest area. That area has mostly cleared up by now, so I can test to see if it was a lotion I had used that day as well. This had a nice sweet floral scent and I loved it. I am sad to have used it up, but excited to use up all my perfume to be able to buy a new one that I have been looking forward to for years. I love the DKNY apple perfumes. I want to buy a collection of them as they are the only ones that I really love a lot at the moment. I still have 2 deluxe and 1 full size to use up, as well as a little satin bag full of samples before I can purchase a new perfume. I feel like I can use up all my perfume this year.

Total Monetary Amount for 2020: $352.12

Total Full-Sized Products Used Up: 23/20

Total Makeup Products Used Up or Hit Pan In: 3/20

I feel really good about ending my 20 in 2020 on a good note. I am continuing my 20 in 2020 for my makeup products. I am close to getting to $500 for halfway towards my goal of using up $1,000 in product this year. All in all, I’m feeling really good about myself and this project. I have a lot of goals that I am working towards and completing one feels amazing. I already see a crap pile for May and I can see it still going strong in June. I think we will for sure hit $500 by the end of June. May might complete my 20 in 2020 project as I had to declutter a ton of gone bad makeup or cream products past the 2 year mark. I don’t hold onto liquid or cream beyond 2 years. I used $100 worth of product in April and that is not a bad number at all.

With Love,
