20 in 2020: July Edit

I cannot believe that another month is gone and we are more than halfway through the year. I didn’t finish a ton, but I felt like it is a decent amount to have used up. I am doubling up on my focus in the month of August and I am going to try to go through a bunch of products that only have a little bit left in them. I am trying a new thing with writing my blog posts. I don’t write a post that I don’t like to write and I am not forcing myself to write to keep to a schedule. I find that I am enjoying blogging more this way as I am not punishing myself if I don’t get a certain amount of posts up in a week. Sometimes I write nothing. Others, I write enough for the next two weeks at uploading every other day. Less pressure is good for me. This was only ever supposed to be hobby anyway. I just looked at least month’s post and it seems like the post has been corrupted by the new editor as I tried to look at it on my desktop and it got rid of most of the text on that posts.

Total Monetary Amount for 2020: $498.00

Total Makeup Products Used Up or Hit Pan In: 4/20

Skincare:

We used up a cheap sunscreen that we have all been using when we go outside or swimming in the lake. I think I paid close to $8 for a two pack, so let’s call this $4. My fiance and I used up a VS body scrub and we both really enjoyed it. We agree that once we use up our stash of body scrubs, we would repurchase from VS for their scrubs. They are pricey, but you can usually get them on sale and they last a long time.

Total Monetary Amount for 2020: $522.00

MISCELLANEOUS

Dean used up a silicone food grade teether and I finished up a sticker sheet that came with an online order.

Beauty:

I 100% enjoyed the banana souffle so much that I added it to my Sephora list. My son ate my sponge before I had a chance to use it. My mom gave me hers, so I can still try it out though!

Vitamins:

Dean went through his standard CDB oil, although he has been using it a lot less lately. I finished off two bottles of HUM vitamins. One is for a flatter stomach and the other is Vitamin D supplements. I was not impressed with the stomach ones, but my skin has been doing great on the Vitamin D softgels.

Total Monetary Amount for 2020: $597.00

Household:

I used up a tooth brush. I poured all the oil for my diffuser for the bathroom. We also used up our bathroom hand soap. I would repurchase the diffuser oil and the hand soap. The scent of the soap was nice and light. The oil smelt manly like fleece and warm fire/woods. It just reminded me of the candle Cashmere Woods at Bath & Body Works.

Total Monetary Amount for 2020: $667.00

I am happy to see the amount of money that I have used up this year. I really feel like I can make it to 1K this year! Earlier in the year, I did not think this would be ever possible. I am 1/4 of the way through my makeup oil. I am 1/4 behind so far for the year. I am really making the effort to use up my makeup though. I hope that I can make this goal this year. Even 5 more used up would be great at this point.

With Love,

  1. Great progress! I do think you have a pretty good chance to hit 1k by the end of the year. ❤ I have the same issue when it comes to posting. I feel like it no longer serves the purpose it used to when I started. Back then it felt like an amazing way to de-stress through writing, but now it only feels like added stress. I might post like 3 more times this year and give up on it. I have already gone through like three months of no posting, and apart from the usual end of the month update on my project pan that would pop up in my mind, I never felt like writing posts. Anyway, it's awesome that you are listening to yourself when it comes to these things, this is the healthy way to go about posting. ❤ hugs!

    1. It’s been a hell of a year for all of us. Blogging might be something I eventually fade out as well. So far, I have been enjoying my posts and what I have been writing about. I want to explore other hobbies and interests as well. Im a big planner and I never remember to share my spreads. Its on my list of new posts for the new year.
