The monetary value of the items I have used up this month is $245.98 bringing the year total to $325.64. I have used up or decluttered 2 makeup wipe packets, 1 setting spray, 1 primer, 1 chapstick, 1 makeup palette, 1 serum, 1 set of lashes, 1 candle, 1 deodorant, 1 cleaning concentrate, 1 hair mask, 5 face masks, and 1 toner. That is 19 items that were used up or decluttered this month. I am ecstatic that I was able to use or get rid of these many items. I used up 3 makeup items this month. I have 9 more items to use up this year for me to be happy with how much of my collection I have used up this year. I have made a care package for a friend who lost her father recently to cancer. I’m well known by my friends to give care packages to those in need.
The monetary value of the items that I have used up this month is $79.66. I have used up 1 makeup wipe packet, 1 moisturizer, 1 dry shampoo, 1 hair oil, and 2 bath bombs. That is 6 items that were used up this month. I am happy with both of these numbers so far. I used makeup 5 times a week every week in January except for the one time I wore it 6 times. I had a date night on NYE. As a result, I already have a makeup empty for February. At the end of January, I had mostly removed the BECCA embossing on the finishing powder I purchased at Marshall’s. My liquid blush is getting down there, and I may have to crack open a couple of new setting sprays soon. I have been enjoying trying on my makeup and rediscovering my collection. Unfortunately, I know that rediscovering some of my items will lead to declutters, but that is okay. It is just taking up space if I am never going to use it. I’m hoping to use up 10 makeup products this year. I am really hoping that I can do it. So far, I have 0 makeup products used up. I already know I will have 1 in February, so I am looking at 9 more. I’m hoping one can be a lip product. Using up 2 lip products would be nice, but I don’t want to push the envelope too much.
How much did you use up?
I use these packets as my morning cleanse. The moisturizer was nice and lightweight.
I love a good dry shampoo, and despite having oily hair, putting oil in my hair once a week keeps it soft and manageable.
I love my baths, and the charms were sooo cute inside them.

Skincare:
I was happy to have used up 4 full sizes and one mini. It feels good to see my collection shrink.
I used up a moisturizer and a packet of acne dots, since I have been breaking out more lately.
Bodycare:
Since I’m dating, I’m going through more shaving products. LOL. The deodorant didn’t work for me. I’m sad that my little bumbum cream is gone. lol. Plus, two bags of body scrub because, like I said, more frequent shaving is necessary. lol
Bath Care:
I used up a bag of bath salts and three bath bombs. I’ve been enjoying the colder weather and taking more frequent relaxing baths.
Stickers:
I used up a hell of a lot of stickers and one pen.
Makeup:
I used up mascara, brow gel, and lip gloss. It was a good last two months for makeup.
Haircare:
I used up a hair spray, my beach spray got busted, a hair oil, and a hair mask. I am surprised by the amount of hair products I have been using up tbh.
Misc:
Lastly, I used up two incense sticks from Wetch Betch Creations. I love the Sweet Betch scent.
21 items used up and gone. I like those numbers! Now, onto 2023!

OMG! I cannot believe that I have used up so much products this year and the amount of money it all costs is insane! lol. I am so glad that I have calmed down my beauty spending and I have only been purchasing items as I need them. Sometimes, I’ll buy something extra just because.

I am loving where my balance is at this month. I have less products in my collection and I have used up more than I have spent so far this year. I cannot believe that right now that the amount of products that I have brought in haven’t increased my collection size. But also, that despite spending $459.12 so far this year, I have already used up that amount of product (and then so), which totally justifies my purchases to myself. I am dreading April, because I did a birthday haul for the Sephora Spring Event. lol
l am happy to see that I am in the positive for spending, but I would like to be using up more products than what I am bringing in. This is something that I really need to monitor with the small space that I have currently. Once we move out, I will be able to re-evaluate the numbers I am okay with having. For right now, I want to keep my collection space with the dwindling space I currently have. I am really excited to see where we will be at next month.
Okay, I am back with the 2nd update on this project pan. I decided that I would also make this a rotating project pan that I will call done once I have finished 10 products. Then, I think I will start a new project. Maybe a project roulette one. I’m itching to do one of those. Anyway, so far we have used up 1/10 items. A few should have been slam dunks, but life happens, you know? My life has really been a whirlwind this year with so much happening, both the good and the bad. I’ve really been enjoying blogging regularly as it gives me a reprieve when things get a bit overwhelming. It’s part of my “me-time” and I couldn’t e more grateful that I have a lifestyle and partner that is conducive for this. Now, let me show and tell you the progress that I was able to make on the shortest month of the year.

Used up:
I was able to use up the candle, which I am super happy about. I wanted to finish it during the winter season. There was still a lot of wax left, so it didn’t burn down incredibly well. It did burn down even though.
Progress:
I didn’t make any progress in Feb in the body serum. There was too much change and too much going on to focus on using up my products. Now that I am getting used to the fast pace our life has become, I am in a better position to balance my life in March.
I have been making steady and good progress on both the facial spray and the cleanser. I use the spray every morning and night as my toner. I use the cleanser to wash my makeup brushes. I might be done with both by the next update.

I already used up the nose strip, but I did also use up the hydrating styling cream. I am on track to finish up the bum bum cream and the hand sheet mask. I have just been putting this stuff off really in the month of Feb. I have a feeling that March will have a lot of empty/used up products.
Additions:
I am adding three more items to the project. I am hoping to get a nap in one of these days, so I want to use up a pair of full eye sheet masks. I want to use up my last regular candle. I also have been straightening my hair and loving it, so I thought I would add this heat styler to the project in motivation of using it up.
So far, I have used up 3/10 products and I finished 2 of those items up this month. I am proud of myself and happy with the progress that I have been able to make considering the hectic state of my life right now. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving every moment of it, but it can get a lot sometimes. I am so glad that I have this community to escape from reality for a little while and talk about what I am passionate about.
I have another not so exciting update for this project 10 pan. Like I said in a previous post, I had Covid for most of January. There wasn’t very much progress made, but I am hopeful to finish off a few things in February. I figure once I get down to a few slow things. I will restart the project rather than making it a rolling project pan as I do have a year long project pan where I am rolling items in as I use others up. I figure once I use up at least 5 items, I will restart the project and get it back to 10 again. The above photo is where we started with thee 5 products.
I was able to make progress on these three items. I am most impressed with the candle, but I have been burning candles almost everyday that I work from home until my son comes home from school. I also started a new med and haven’t been feeling the best. The scent has really been helping me get through the day, but the meds make me feel so tired. I was misdiagnosed and in the process of switching meds. I’m going to right a whole post about it.

I’m hoping to use up the hand gloves, hydrating cream, and body lotion by the end of Feb. 1/10 items down. I don’t think that is bad considering we all had covid and makeup and my projects were the last things on my mind. Here’s to a better Feb update!
Another month gone, another long over due declutter. The December one will hopefully get posted sooner than November did. It was a good solid month, but I know that I won’t hit my 1K by the end of the year. We are going to keep this series going until we do. The past two months have been a whirlwind of positive change and I have been enjoying every minute of it. But this is long overdo, so let’s get into it.
#856 & 857 – I loved the brightening shampoo for my blonde hair, but I think it gave a brassier tone than I had in my hair over time. The hair oil was really gross and made my hair feel really dry. I would not purchase again.
#858 & 859 – The foundation is going to a friend as it is even too light for my boyfriend to use. I used up the Hourglass stick foundation sample.
#860 – 867 – Clothes that are too small, too big, and no longer any good.
#868 – 874 – Used up sticker sheets.
#875 – 878 – We managed to use up two additional sunscreens. I’ve been putting them on my arms while driving and that’s how they were used up. The glitter sunscreen I did apply to my whole body for the glitter effect. I used up a VS body wash and it was nice. I used up the Moroccan oil body serum and that was heaven. I love the scent!
#879 – 882 – I used up a VS sheet mask and it was like any old sheet mask. I used up two face cream samples. We also used up the Too Faced serum and I absolutely love it! However, we are currently drowning in serum, so I will not buy it right away. It is on the radar though!
#883 – This candle didn’t have the best scent or burn very evenly. I did use it up as I do enjoy candles. This scent just wasn’t my favorite.
Well, only 117 items to go before we get to 1K. Maybe we will hit this goal by Feb or March if we want to be ambitious. lol.
Back for another update on my declutter series. I am REALLY hoping to hit 1K this year! I might continue the series next year if we end up moving. Otherwise, I plan on pausing this series for 2022, just to give myself a breather from keeping SO MUCH trash. lol. I’ve been really happy and peppy lately getting all of these posts up these last couple of weeks, because I was contacted by a previous employer for a really good paying position that would allow me to use my degree. I am eagarly awaiting more details as it is a newly created position that the kinks are still working themselves out. I’ve never been contacted to be offered a job before. It is a first for me and I actually think maybe things have changed at the place since I left.

#817 – 823 – The samples didn’t have enough uses to see if I liked any of them. I enjoy face wipes and I’m not picky about the brand. I just buy whatever there is at Marshalls. The foot peel worked in about 5 days. It felt REALLY weird, but the results were worth the squishy feet for 90 minutes.
5 haircare items
#824 – 828 – I have 1 too many hair mousses and I am happy to have used one up. I used up a leave in conditioner and I already have another one to use. I used up a detangling spray and I have a new one of those in my collection as well. We used up two mini dry shampoos. The DryBar had like 2 uses in it, while the Amika had more like 5. We prefer the Amika.
4 makeup items!
#829 – 832 – I am so proud to have used up 4 makeup items! The eye liners worked better as markers, while the foundations I did use in the traditional way. They were too dark for me during the winter, so I am happy to have used them up over the summer as I soon will be too light to wear them.
I was able to use up/declutter 45 items this month. Last month was really a hit out of the water and this month was still a heavy month. Looking at my bag right now, October is looking lighter, but we shall see. There are many items that are on their last legs that could decide to empty all in October or November.
