Valentino Voxbox

I received a surprising Voxbox from Influenster. I was mailed the Valentino box and when I opened it, I thought it was mistakenly sent to me. It had a card in the box, but no where stated it was from Influenster. I looked on the app and saw that I had the campaign badge for it. I must have gotten the box, before the notifications went out. I did get the notification via email a couple of days after it came in. Let’s get the disclaimer out of the way. I received this for free via Influenster for reviewing and testing purposes. All opinions are my own. I was sent free products in exchange for an honest review.

This box has me feeling so fancy. I have one Dior product that I also got from Influenster and they just make me feel like a fancy person, even if I’m the only one that knows that I’m wearing it. Luxury makeup and skin care give me such a confidence boost. I would never purchase them outright though. The sale would have to be VERY good like the Farsali that I have purchased for $9 full size.

Valentino Twin Liner 02 Black & Rosso, 0.5ml & 0.1g, $40

The black liquid liner is very opaque and there is not much bleeding. It was really easy to use, but I am terrible about using a liquid liner. The red/orange/pink liner is very creamy and glided easily on the lid. It was also good in the waterline.

Valentino Stick With Me Glitter Primer Base, 10ml for $25

It was a nice base. It kept the glitter on my eyes. I really have nothing else to say about it, because I don’t have any experience with glitter primers. I never used one before this even though I wear a lot of glitter. I am going to use it with the other glitters that I have to see if the performance is clear across the board.

Valentino DreamDust Eye Glitter in SkyDust, 3.1g for $32

This eye glitter is so gorgeous! I love it. I love the color. I love everything about it! This is the item I am most excited for. I am so happy to have this in my collection. I won’t say that it will be used up by the end of this year, but I wouldn’t be surprised either. I’ve been wearing this a lot.

Valentino Eye2Cheek Blush in Bright Dream, 3.6 g for $58

This doesn’t look like a blush shade to me. It looks more like a highlight. I am not sure how I feel about it as a blush and it is not pigmented enough for me to wear on my eyes as eye shadow. I know some people like dewy or shinny blush and I think that people who like that would enjoy this. I also think if you want to buy this as a luxury highlighter, this would be a good one as you can build up the pigmentation to a certain degree.

This was a pretty expensive voxbox, so I feel very grateful to have gotten these goodies. I might give the “blush” to a friend, who might have better luck with it.

Influenster Voxbox

I received another Influenster box a few months back with a VERY expensive Dior product in there. I got the Dior DreamSkin Primer. I am so happy and so grateful to have gotten a $120 USD product that I would NEVER buy on my own. I would NEVER spend so much on a SINGLE makeup item. I do spend that much at times on perfume, but that is about it. Even my most expensive face palette is $80 USD.

I am not going to lie. The packaging is gorgeous and I love that this is a pump! I love the baby pink with the silver accents. However for the price, I was expecting this to be glass, but it is just hard plastic. It sorta cheapens the experience for me. This is a dream. My face is perfected in the prettiest way. I even used this on my fiancé and he was impressed on how good his skin looked. It is slightly tinted and it blurs imperfections like a dream. It fills on pores, even the rather large ones on my nose. It smells like baby powder. I highly recommend this product if you can afford it. If I could afford it, I would purchase it. As such, it is WAY out of my price range. It is very beautiful on the skin though. For my oily skin, it acts as a moisturizer and a primer for makeup. I never end up putting makeup on top though. I use this for those no makeup days. Overall, It is very expensive, but for a reason.

PR Love From…

I recently received a lovely package from eSalon due to a false offer from a spammer. I went directly to eSalon to ask if it was a genuine collaboration and was told that it was not. They kindly sent me a product to try from their line to make up for being falsely asked to collaborate, even though it wasn’t there fault. Great customer service all around and I loved how they mentioned the scam in their blog post.

So, if you are unsure if an offer is real, reach out to the actual company’s customer service department. You might even be rewarded for it like me. I never trust an email offer at face value. I always double check with the company to make sure that I’m not being hacked or spammed. I asked another company JSShoes to see if their offer was real and they said that it was. However, the rep won’t get back to me now. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. In this case, a pair of free heels. 🙂

Thermal Spring Water

For Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water

skincare

This was nice to have to use with my skincare to prep my skin before adding my serum. It allowed thicker serums to spread easily. I am not going to purchase, because this is expensive for water. I bought a spray bottle at Walmart that I intend to put distilled water in to use instead of an expensive aerosol can of water. I can see this being convenient for travel, but otherwise than that, this is very much a princess product. I welcome another PR bottle of this anytime, because it is a good product. It is just very expensive for what it actually is.

Zesty Paws Doggie Supplements

Zesty Paws

I am lucky enough to be working with the Zesty Paws team again bringing you a review of three different dog supplements that they have to offer. I have to admit, my easy going dog Serena did not enjoy the flavor of these as much as she enjoyed the Chicken flavored Omega Bites. She did eat these though when she realized that she wouldn’t get her Greenie if she didn’t eat these first. The flavor is just not her favorite. They are very good for her though, so withholding a treat works with her.

IMG_2631

I love that the brand is transparent and you know exactly what you are buying as a consumer. I like knowing all the ingredients, where they come from, and how they are going to affect my dog/the benefits. Right now, Zesty Paws are 50% off, so if you are in need of some good quality dog supplements, I would stock up now while you can. I find that these supplements get sold out fairly often. They must be doing something right!

Zesty Paws Probiotic Bites

IMG_2644

These bites are pumpkin flavor and Serena is a meat lover. She still ate these bites, though. I also noticed that her breathe didn’t stink as bad after she had been eating these for a few days. These supplements add in digestion and help dogs maintain a healthy immune system. I do see the benefits of digestion, since part of her bad breath does come from her stomach. I would love to see how it helps to improve her breath and tummy issues. She has a sensitive tummy and usually gets sick twice a year.

Zesty Paws Salmon Bites

IMG_2638

Remember when I said that Serena only likes meat flavors? Well, that does not include Salmon. She wasn’t crazy about it, but she didn’t mind it. These supplements have a bunch of Omega oils that are really good for the skin, joints, and heart. Serena has a heart murmur and arthritis. I know that this is helping to keep her heart healthy and joint pain at ease. It is a bonus that it is also good for her skin and coat as well. I love the fact that all of the supplements are cut in heart shapes. So cute!

Zesty Paws Turmeric Curcumin Bites

IMG_2632

Serena is familiar with the duck flavor and wile it isn’t her favorite, she eats them well. I love that this has coconut oil. It is so healthy for you and great for promoting healthy skin and coat in dogs. This is supposed to be a stronger joint supplement and I do see a slight difference between this one and the Mobility Bites. She seems to run a bit longer eating these supplements. It is also good for immune support and healthy digestion. It is supposed to give your dog more energy and improve cognitive skills. Like I said, I see more energy in her, but she’s always been a smart dog. I didn’t notice her mind being less sharp before these supplements. She’s 10 years old, so these might be better for older dogs are dogs that seem more confused at any age.

Overall, I am so happy to have received more supplements to help out my 10 year old dog Serena. Supplements are great to give at any age, but especially for old dogs to help ease their aches and pains. While she may not gobble these up like the Omega Bites, I know that the benefits are worth a little bit of food coaxing. I highly recommend these supplements and I would try a can while they are on sale.

RuckPack Energy Shots

I am so happy to be bringing you a post about an All American Made In America By America company. Today, I will be talking about the healthier alternative to energy shots that supports our troops. Yes, I am talking about RuckPack Energy Shots. 5% of the proceeds goes towards The Marine Corps – Law Enforcement Foundation. It is also founded by Marine Special Operations Forces and owned and operated by military service-members. It’s a great company/cause to spend your money on.

drink

I hear so many things about the dangers of drinking energy drinks and how their ingredients aren’t regulated by the FDA. RuckPack offers a healthier alternative that has tons of caffeine (if you want it, they also have non-caffeinated version which is my fav.). In fact, it offers the highest dose of caffeine in an energy drink currently in the market. The Energizer Nootropic Shots have all natural sweeteners, colors, and flavors. There is nothing artificial about them, which I love that about them. Also, the caffeine is from green tea, so that is also very natural and green tea has brain boosting antioxidants. These drinks even contain C0Q10, which is another powerful antioxidant that’s important in restoring caffeine during extraction.

So, don’t just get high on caffeine.

Give yourself a brain boost as well with RuckPack Energy Shots and Drinks.

I have a coupon code for a 20% off discount! Use code BB052 at checkout. Right now, it’s $34.99 for a pack of 15 energy shots. Giving you a total of $38.79 with shipping.

Makeup Inventory: Face Base

I have a lot of face bases, because a primer seems to come in every Sephora box. lol. I don’t think that this category is very overwhelming. I think I have a very manageable amount. I need to buy a foundation, but I just haven’t done it yet. I am thinking an elf foundation or wet n wild. I’m making a more conscious effort on going cruelty free. Everything that I buy from now on will be cruelty free. I still repurchased the Garnier, but I will retry the Simple water again. I really do want to be cruelty free but the Garnier is so good. They also have great coupons, too.

Primers: 7

face

I only purchased the Cover FX primers. Everything else came in subscription boxes or was sent to me for reviewing purposes. The PTR primer is almost gone and I know the other minis won’t take me that long to use up as well. I want to have just the full size by January. I want to buy the Smashbox Primer Water for my primer and Benefit’s Porefessional for my pore filling primer. I don’t need any other primer. I only want those two in the future. I don’t wear foundation or bb cream every day so primer lasts me longer than the average person. Sometimes, I just wear a pore filling primer to make my skin look nice.

Foundations: 7

Okay, so I cheated in this category. I use the Sally Hansen on my legs, but I consider that leg makeup so I included it here. I want to use that up and get it out by January. It doesn’t work well and doesn’t look believable on my skin. I also am using two other bbs on my legs, because they are too dark for my face. I have a bronzer to try for when I use those up. The cushion bb is too dark for my face as well but I use that as contour. I have a bb cream that is perfect for my skin color and a gradual face tanner. I want to buy a foundation to use on my face on a regular basis. Hopefully, I’ll find something soon worth the splurge.

Powders: 2

face

I am happy with this count. There is nothing I want/need to get rid of. I am happy as long as I keep it to just a couple of powders. I only buy one when I need one. I’m not very picky with powders, so I’ll probably pick up one from ELF next. I really want try the color corrector powder in cool.

Setting Sprays: 2

face

I’m also happy with this amount of setting spray. I don’t feel the need to buy a lot of back stock of it. I don’t even know if it even works. I like to have one as a back up, so as soon as I finish one I will buy another. I don’t know what I’ll buy next. Maybe something from the drug store. I like ones that are a bit moisturizing, but I think I might buy another ELF setting spray or a NYX one. I hear a lot about those two setting sprays.

I have a total count of 18 face products, which I think that I can get this down to 8 easy. I have ten products that I need to use up by January. I’ve really been going through products lately, so I really feel like I can do this. I feel like I have four project pans going on now, but I love using stuff up and the high that comes with it. There is nothing better for a collector junky.

Zesty Paw’s Premium Supplements

My dogs are the love of my life. Ever since my cat Shadow passed away, I have been giving more thought into the age and comfort of my two dogs: Serena and Eva.

Enter Montague:

Serena is a ten year old Chihuahua and Eva is a nine year old Italian Greyhound. They are really getting up there in dog years and I noticed that Serena was having a hard time moving around lately. Due to their age, I figured that Serena in particular was suffering from arthritis and her coat had gotten a little rougher. She also has a benign fatty tumor besides really bad teeth (the ones that haven’t fallen out) that are being worked on next year for better quality of life. She also has a heart murmur. Serena just has a lot of elderly problems, but I want her last years to be good. Eva still acts like a puppy and is very picky about not eating pills or supplement chews.

Enter Zesty Paw’s Premium Supplements:

pet

I am excited to bring to you premium canine supplements that actually work, are affordable, all natural, and even the pickiest dog will love to take these (or not know that they are!). Serena has been trying out the two different chews everyday for the past month and Eva has been given the liquid supplement in her wet food every night. Here is the breakdown of my thoughts on each item.

Zesty Paw’s Omega Bites

Serena has been eating these every night and she really looks forward to eating these. They are rather big soft chews that are chicken flavored. This is Serena’s favorite chew out of the two. She always eats this one first. These chews are for healthy skin and coat. The wire-like hair on her back has started to soften and her fur is shedding less since starting on these. I have a 90 day supply, which retails for $25. So, it is like paying $8 to $9 a month for a coat supplement. This brand is made in the USA and doesn’t contain common dog allergens, which is true of the whole brand. Not sure I want to spend $100 a month for a coat supplement that doesn’t really do a whole lot, but if you are tired of a lot of dog shedding, this is the product for you. She doesn’t shed nearly as much as she used to. She probably sheds a quarter of what she used to. I have a toddler, so I vacuum daily already. Her hair doesn’t bother us.

Zesty Paw’s Mobility Bites

The Mobility Bites are duck flavored and not Serena’s favorite. It has improved her mobility a ton though! I am so impressed with this product and look at how cute it is cut into tiny little hearts. I will be paying $100 a year for this product. It is that good. Serena used to be lazy and not want to get up. I contributed that to her laziness, but the first night that I gave this to her, she jumped up onto my bed. Now, my bed is high and she hasn’t been able to do it before. Now, she jumps up on my bed to cuddle with easy. It is worth the money to see my 10 year old dog run like a maniac in the backyard like she is a puppy again. If you have an older dog, this is a must buy product. She doesn’t seem to be in as much pain moving around. She still sleeps like a lazy bum, but she can move around and get to where she wants to now.

Zesty Paw’s Salmon Oil

pet

My picky dog Eva doesn’t detect this at all in her wet food. Eva is a very picky eater and any meds that she needs to take, I have to basically shove down her throat. This product makes it nice to just give her a supplement that has everything: healthy heart, joint and immune system, skin and coat, and anit-inflammatory. I love that it has everything and I am planning on purchasing this product myself for both dogs. I just realized just how much good stuff is in one bottle. This is like those two other jars in one plus extras. I really love that Eva doesn’t know that she’s having something really good for her.

After sampling these three products, I’m ready to buy some. A browse through their website shows a lot of unique wholesome products. If you want to take care of your furry family members, I highly recommend this website. They even have stuff for cats!

With Love,

Selena

Tophatter Auction Site Review*

Hello Beauties!

I have teamed up with the auction site Tophatter to bring you this post. Now, you are probably wondering what Tophatter is. Tophattter is an auction site that is SO much better than Ebay. Tophatter’s site is fast, fun, and reliable. The pace of the auctions are really quick. If you don’t bid in 90 seconds, than the auction is over and you win. There is an amazing high feeling when you win something that you really wanted for less than half of what you would have paid for it at Sephora. Tophatter has a lot of jewlry and tech auctions, but if you wait patiently, you can find great items like Coach purses, popular makeup brands, and the latest fashions. After using this site twice, I will definitely be coming back to this site. I want to buy some kitchen cutlery and a slogan shirt.

Tophatter is so much better than Ebay, because you are guaranteed your satisfaction. The seller cannot send you cheap, fake stuff, if they were showing a brand new Coach purse and labeled it as such. Sellers who lie, quickly are kicked off of the site and you are guaranteed your money back. You really have nothing to lose for trying this site out.

I received two $10 credits towards two different purchases of $11 or more. The first thing that caught my eye was a Tarte pallet auction. It was a really fun bid starting at $3 and I had fun going back and forth with this one girl. She finally gave up and I snagged this pallet for $15 dollars including shipping, due to the credit, I only paid $5. A great deal for a really expensive pallet! I didn’t swatch anything, because I’m going to be giving this pallet to D next time I see her. I already have my Smashbox and I’m going to get the Too Faced Sweet Peach one. This one won’t get any love. It’s a nice basic pallet and I’m sure D will love it. I love you D and I appreciate everything you do for me and Dean. This is yours when I see you next!

My other purchase was for the Lior Gold Caviar Anti-aging Expert, Age Response Wrinkle Remover, which is just a really fancy serum. This retails for $625 and I bought it for $11 including shipping. I was the only one who bid on it, so I won it and only spent $1 out of pocket due to the $10 credit. Not a bad haul for $6 dollars.

I have my own unique code to share with you guys, if you want to try the site out. Since wordpress doesn’t like referral links, I will share my unique code instead. When you sign up, just add my code in the field: a6967c. You can always email me for my referral link if you would prefer to use that instead. Also, for using my link, you will receive a $10 buyer credit to apply to your first purchase of $11 or more and when you make your first $11 or more purchase, I’ll receive a $10 credit as well. We all win with this deal. So, why not try it out? You have nothing to lose and you’ll get a $10 credit if you use my code!

Another month gone by and another basket full of empties! I have a couple of empties for March waiting to go in here, so I thought that the sooner I write this post, the better. I’ll be saving some of these items for reviews to do in a separate bag, but some of these are repurchases and I won’t be reviewing those unless my opinion changes on them. I think I might have more than last month, but we’ll see soon. 🙂 I’m so happy to be using this stuff up instead of having it sit around. I want to buy new stuff, but not for the sake of just having stuff. I don’t have the storage space for that!
