For *Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask
What it is:
A face mask boosting collagen production, increasing skin radiance, reducing fine lines, and securing skin moisture.
Key Ingredients:
Japanese green tea, aloe vera, organic rosehip seed oil, silk protein amino acid blend, botanical hylauronic acid, organic sea buckthorn oil, and water. It is 98% natural, suitable for all skin types, cruelty free, alcohol and paraben free, and made in the USA.
How it feels/smells/looks:
The mask has the the color and texture of custard. It feels cool going onto the skin and begins to tingle but not sting. My face was a bit red after removing the mask, but cleared up within a couple of minutes. It smells like elementary school to me: like pencil shavings. The smell actually brings back found memories, so I do not mind the odd smell.
Why I like it:
This face mask is very interesting and different. I have never tried a hydrating face mask before, because I have oily skin and never thought that I needed extra hydration. Since having a baby, my skin has been a bit on the drier side and losing that fresh glow my face always had. I applied this mask on to cover my whole face. This gave my face a jaundice glow while wearing it, completing freaking my dad out at first. I enjoyed the pamper feeling that masks give me and I enjoyed this on at the full 30 minutes recommended. After removing the mask, I did feel that my face looked brighter and softer. I cannot comment on reducing fine lines, but my skin did look instantly better after using. I did find that the next day this did give my skin a small rash. I’m hoping cutting down the time applied to fifteen minutes will allow me to enjoy the mask without the rash. My skin is not sensitive, so I wouldn’t recommend this mask to people with sensitive skin. This mask definitely does make your skin look instantly better and radiant.
For *Valentia True Glow Eye Cream
What it is:
An intensive corrective eye treatment that reduces wrinkles, nourishes and hydrates, tightens eye area, brightens dark circles, and restores radiance.
Key Ingredients:
Astanxanthin, resistem, vitamin C, organic rosehip oil, amica, water, and honeysuckle. It is 98% natural, suitable for all skin types, cruelty free, alcohol and paraben free, and made in the USA.
How it feels/smells/looks:
This cream is orange colored and light weight. It sinks into the skin right away and feels slightly cooling. It smells like oranges as well. I really love the packaging and how expensive the product looks. It is also nice that the bottle is glass and tinted to best preserve all of the good, natural ingredients.
Why I like it:
I have been using this eye cream at night ever since I got this product in the mail. It has a great light orange scent as I apply the product. It sinks right in which allows me to continue onto my facial moisturizer without having to wait for it to sink in. I definitely do feel a tightening effect when I use this product, but only time will tell if it brightens my hereditary dark circles. I enjoy using this product and will look into trying out more products from Valentia. Twenty-five dollars does not seem too expensive for a quality product that I enjoy. I would say to be careful when applying this. I got a tiny bit of this cream on my lower lash line and it burned and irritated my eye. It was not a pleasant experience, but as long as you are careful, it shouldn’t irritate.
