December Empties

Instead of saying another month gone, I’ll say another year gone this time around. I believe the older you are, the faster time seems to go by. Time never went by this fast when I was in high school. It only ever went fast when I was actually enjoying my life. Now, days that drag and days that fly, all seem to go at the same pace. Sounds cliche and maybe it is but it is also the truth. I would never go back in time. I want to always be moving forward, never going back. For the new year empties, I am going to be trying a new style of empty posts. Stay tuned until Feb to see the new empties.

December was a light month for me and January is already looking better. I have been decluttering some makeup products here and there that are just not good anymore. As I go throughout the year, I plan on decluttering anything that I don’t like that I know are recent products to friends and anything else can and will be thrown away. It’s time for a new me that doesn’t keep products around just to have them.

December Sephora Play!

The last box of the year and it came on December 23rd. Seriously. I usually get my box from 10-20. I feel like it took FOREVER! Okay, I’ll stop complaining. lol. I really do love the Sephora Play subscription that I get every month. Some months are better than others, but overall, I think you get good bang for your tenner. I might not use everything immediately, but I am happy to try everything that I can. I am rotating through my makeup collection and making it a big priority next year that if I don’t love something, I give it away. If it is too old, throw it out. If I’m not loving it, it isn’t worth the effort to use it up or pan it.

IMG_3299

I love the bag! It is very cute, but I really don’t have a need. I usually just donate these bags away to be recycled and proceeds goes towards a local charity. I’m actually going to be using my card, because I am hitting up Sephora. I want to buy something during the 20% off sale and possibly cash in some points.

hair

Drybar Triple Sec, 0.35 oz for $2.17

This is a 12th of the full size, so to me it seems like a tiny sample. I would have at least liked to have seen a half of an ounce for a hair product. This will probably only be a couple of uses. I have to use a lot of dry shampoo to soak up the second day oil in my hair. It gets oily super fast. I think it smells nice and I cannot wait to use it once I use up my Not Your Mother’s dry shampoo. So far, I really love the Amika Perk Up dry shampoo for my hair. I don’t have to put a ton in and it really works.

perfume

Stella McCartney perfume sample

I love that this is a natural rose scent. I’ve been really into rose scents lately. I would love to receive a foil packet instead of a perfume every other month though. I haven’t gotten one yet and I would really like to. I have too many perfume samples at the moment since I’m trying to work through a bottle of perfume.

eye

Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen, 0.34 g for $7

I’m going to say that this is a third of the full size, since I cannot find how much is in a pen anywhere. I look forward to using this when I don’t currently have an eye liner open. I am trying to use up a black and glitter eye liner. I’m pulling it out in January, so we shall see if it is still good or not. I’ll be blogging about my makeup clearing journey, so you guys won’t miss a beat. Subscription bags are great, but if I don’t like it, I’m not going to be keeping them around anymore.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Matte Au Natural, 1 g for $17.40

This is more than half of a full size! It is pretty close to a full size and way more than half. I am very pleased with the amount of product in this one. This is a nude color that I will be using all of the time. I actually prefer to work with cream shadows, so I am excited to try this out in my January rotation. If it wears nicely on my eyes, I will be very happy. Eye shadow creases on my hooded eyes like crazy, especially creams. I had a hard time getting rid of the swatch so I have high hopes for this one. I would work this on the lid and crease and pop a bright eye shadow on the lid.

eye cream

Caudalie Vine[Activ] Energizing & Smoothing Eye Cream, 0.16 fl oz for $13

This is a third of the full size of eye cream, so I am happy that it is a really decent sized eye cream sample. It takes me a while to go through eye cream. I almost never need to buy it, because these samples carry me throughout most of the year. I am curious about this brand, but I feel like the beauty world is over it. I’d like to try more of it. I really love the beauty elixir, but I can buy a Smashbox Primer Water for less and get more. I feel like they are overpriced and trying to be luxury.

MUFE Artist Rouge Creme Lipstick Fuchsia Pink, 0.04 oz for $7.34

Another generous size for being a third of the full size. This lipstick is super soft. While I love the purple pink color, the bullet is already being smashed around inside of the tube. I would not buy a full size of this. I will be pulling it out in the spring and summer, but this really isn’t a winter color. I would have appreciated a soft pink or a winter berry.

$46.91 is the total value of this box. I would give this box 3 out of 5 stars, because of the great value and I’m not excited for the lipstick and the black liner. I am excited to see what the next year brings to the Sephora Play! box. I have been really happy with the items that I have received this year. I plan on going through my collection soon and getting rid of the samples that I didn’t enjoy.

Macy’s Haul For Dean

I bought so many cute things at Macy’s for Dean. I shopped his clothes online. Right now, his is a size 9 to 12 months, but some of his size 9’s and 12’s don’t fit. He is a bit wider than the average baby and he grew in length, so some things have become too tight/snug to wear comfortably. I bought him 18 month old clothes, which is the next size up from 12. Honestly, I see him in that size until the end of next year. He’s a really slow grower in weight, but he looks heavier than he is. He’s such a healthy baby boy! I bought his 14 outfits online when there was a 60 or 65% off sale, plus an extra 25% off of clearance. So, I bought him all clearance clothes. They were holiday themed though. Are those already on clearance? That’s fast. As always, I’ll tell you the original price, then what I paid for it. There are a ton of cute stuff, so let’s get into it!

Carter’s Best Gift Ever Bodysuit in Ivory 18m, for $12 paid $4.99 USD

Sorry that the clothes are a bit wrinkly. I plan on cutting off the tags and washing everything after he opens his presents on Christmas. I wrapped up each individual out fit as one present. This was such a steal at 5 dollars and really cute as well. He really was the best gift ever for me, since he was born the day after Christmas. I can see putting him in this throughout the year next year. I mean, it is Christmasy, but he usually get wears these around the house unless it is summer otherwise we layer with pants and a sweater. No one will really see this out of season and you know what, who cares? At least, he is wearing clothes that are clean and fit him.

Carter’s Silent Night Bodysuit in Red 18m, for $12 paid $4.99 USD

Another steal for just 5 bucks. This one I can see wearing year-round without a care, because let’s face it, I would love a silent night just once. LOL. These seem like they will be big on him, but he is still in 9 month bodysuits. I wanted clothes that he could grow into at an affordable price. I always hear to size up your child, because they have unreliable growth spurts. Once he gets to be a toddler, it’ll be easier to buy him clothes I think. It’s so hard trying to guess what size he’s going to stay at. I mean, he is almost a year old and still in some 9 month old clothes, but some of the 18 month clothes that I bought him doesn’t look too big on him. Some of the clothes are snug fit (non pajamas), which fits him better than the pajamas.

Carter’s Hunk 1 Pc in Red 18m, for $20 paid $6.99 USD

Now, this outfit seems INSANELY huge for Dean right now, but I’m sure that he will grow into it. This is something light that can be used during the summer, but will be great in the Spring or Fall with a nice jacket or sweater. I like easy pieces that I can put him in with little fuss. He doesn’t like to be changed, so outfits have to be quick on and quick off. Dean loves watching baseball, so when I saw this baseball player themed outfit, I knew he would love it. It would be great as part of a Halloween outfit as well. Maybe, I’ll go as a ball girl, Dean will go as a player, and my dad will go as the referee. That would be funny, but a cute family photo. The possibilities are endless with children clothing. Anything goes for kids.

Carter’s Sports Print 1 Pc in Blue 18m, for $20 paid $6.99

This one piece is snugger fitting and cotton. Dean has 4 pairs of fleece pajamas, but the apartment is kept warm, so he only wears those out. Even though these aren’t meant to be Pajamas, I thought that they would be good to wear at night when it’s a little cool without a blanket. He still doesn’t seem with a blanket yet. In the Spring, I can see Dean wearing this out. I like cute little quick outfits, but I know that in the Spring, I will have to fit him for shoes and socks. Dean still eats his feet, so he doesn’t really wear socks.

Carter’s 3 Piece Micro Set in Tan 18m, for $32 paid $11.99 USD

I just loved this fur jacket. I worried that it’s a bit girly, but was assured that its not too girly. I love this outfit. It’s hard to write about all of these outfits, when I’m thinking about packing up and moving. I have to change my address for my bank, my work, my credit cards, my health insurance, dental insurance, doctors’ offices, and I’m just feeling a little overwhelmed. I’m so excited as well. I’m packing up all the games, books, and clothes that I want to donate this week. A friend of mine at work is taking all of it, because her daughter is a professional cosigner and she needs it more than I do. It makes me feel good as well, so there’s that. I just want to start fresh at the new place. No more dragging things with me that I won’t use. I’m also donating my mini fridge. Well, it’s not that mini. It’s a half size refrigerator.

Carter’s 4 Piece Skiing Polar Bear Pajamas in Blue 18m, for $34 paid $12.99 USD

I thought that these polar bears were really cute and he needs some cotton pjs. He mostly has fleece one pieces and he’s getting older. He needs more two piece outfits in his wardrobe. I also just love him in leggings. LOL

Carter’s 2 Piece Bodysuit Canmo-Print in Yellow 18m, for $20 paid $7.99 USD

I couldn’t find any grandpa and grandson clothes, so I bought a few Daddy and son ones. Dean will grow up and know the truth, but there is no harm to looking up to my dad as a father figure when he has none. Dean loves my dad and now tells us all the time that he loves us. It’s so cute. Dean won’t understand what his shirt means, but I do and that’s all that counts. My dad loves Dean just as much as Dean loves him.

Carter’s 2 Piece Long-Sleeve in White/Green 18m, for $22 paid $6.99 USD

I thought that this was such a boy outfit and that Dean would like it as he gets older. The pants are super soft and lined with fleece, but this outfit is not pjs, just made to keep warm. I cannot believe how cheap all of these clothes were. Such a deal!

Carter’s 2 Piece Leader of the Pack in Blue 18m, for $20 paid $7.99 USD

I got this, because we have two dogs and Dean is the new leader of the pack (all humans are leaders of their pack). I love the Aztec inspired print on the leggings. I still felt like he would a few of these bodysuits with the snap closure. If we start potty training, I would just leave it unsnapped.

Carter’s 2 Piece Pajamas in Red Stripe 18m, for $20 paid $7.99 USD

I thought this outfit was adorable an I can see him wearing this to bed and on lazy Saturdays in. These are thermals, which means that he could wear this under a pair of fleece pjs going out or under a thick sweater and a pair of pants.

Carter’s 2 Piece Long Sleeves in Grey 18m, for $22 paid $6.99 USD

My dad is hoping that Dean will be interested in baseball; hence, all the baseball themed outfits. Dean already seems to be interested, but time will tell. Maybe, he’ll be a famous baseball player and I’ll get to retire in my 40s. A mom can dream!

Carter’s 4 Piece Penguin PJ set in Green 18m, for $34 paid $12.99 USD

This is the last set that I bought. Dean went to see Santa at Church on Sunday (This Sunday is the kid’s pageant!). He had a grumpy face and wanted to cry. LOL. Poor baby. He loved designing his own bulb for the tree and a Santa hat. The Church was making adorable goodies to take home. Next year, I’m going to stick around for the mason jars where you could layer ingredients for cookies! They were so pretty when finished.

That’s all for today, I’m out of time!

Thinking Of You: December Ipsy

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I am finally getting around to posting my thoughts on the December Ipsy bag of goodies that I received. That means that I will have only one more Ipsy post like this and I will have three or four more Birchbox posts to put up. I am trying my hardest to put one up every week, so that in a month I will be all caught up. I would like to be doing these on the same week that I upload that month’s unboxing. I guess, it is good this way as well, because I get a bit more time to be testing out all of the products. Everything has it’s good and bad and I just like to go with the flow. Without further ado, here are my thoughts:

The Theme:

ThemeTheme

Thinking of you is just a cute theme, but it sounds kind of like Valentines Day more than Christmas if you ask me. Only a few products really go with the theme of a Christmas Party type thing. It really seems like just any old month. I actually have yet to try one of these products (hint: It’s a mascara, because I have two open already and they last FOREVER.)

The Bag:

December

I think that the bag is simple and cute. It looks and feels kind of like satin. The only negative is the cheap plastic charm. I would have preferred it i it was just a plain metal heart and did not say Ipsy. I removed it from the bag, so that I can use it to keep my toiletries in it. I could see getting a lot of use out of it or using it as part of someone’s present.

CAILYN Cosmetics Just Mineral Eye Polish in Orchid, 0.09 oz for 15 USD [Full sized]

eye shadoweye shadowSwatchSwatch

I love that this is a full sized product and a very wearable shade. It is a nude peach color with a bit of shimmer in it. It is a nude shade that I tend to put all over the lid. If I am looking to add more to my look, I will take a deeper brown and put it in the crease. This was smooth and very blendable. I absolutely love it and it is full sized. I can see getting a lot of use out of this color. It is very neutral.

Beauty Without Cruelty A.H.A. 3% Facial Cleanser, 2 fl oz for 2.98 USD

Cleanser

I enjoy using this cleanser, but I would not purchase it. It is a very thick clear gel and I have to use quite a bit of it to get it to lather. It is hard to get it to be ungel-like and takes a bit of washing off to get it off. I will be using this as a morning cleanser, but when it is used up, it is used up. I would not recommend it, because it is difficult to use.

Sexy Hair 450° Blow Out Heat Defense Blow Dry Spray Mini, 1.7 fl oz for 8.04 USD

heat defense

I am glad to have gotten an expensive brand product, but the performance left much to be desired. It has a nice Hawaiian Topics Sunscreen scent to it that I like. My hair seemed to be well protected from hot tools when I used this. There was no burning hair smell. I used this when I curled and straightened my hair. I’ve used about a fourth to a third of the bottle. It left my hair slightly sticky and a bit dirty feeling. My hair straightened hung lanky. My hair curled didn’t stay curled as long as usual. I didn’t add other products with this, just this on its own. I don’t like how it makes my hand feel, but I will use it and see if layering hairspray on top has any effect on the texture of my hair.

NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm in Marshmallow, 0.14 oz for 4 USD [full sized]

Lip balmSwatch

YAY! Another full sized product and I love NYX. The butter gloss is amazing! But so is this lip balm, except the color. It is way too pale on a nude on my lips. It makes me look sickly. It is great for an at home lip balm, but I will not be wearing this outdoors for sure. It is so smooth and silky feeling on the lips. They really are great value for a great product as long as you get the right shade.

tarte deluxe lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara, .10 fl oz for 8.33 USD [almost half of the full sized]

Mascara

I just finished up a full sized mascara, so I will be looking forward to trying this out. I just tried it out over a different formula and it seems to be a nice formula. It seems to be a drier formula, which I like. It also has a short spiky wand that seems to grip the lashes and pulls the formula through them. I am hoping that this could be the day time version of the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara. I’m hoping it will be less dramatic, but still a nice eye opening formula for a girl who does not curl her lashes.

Overall, the value of this bag was 38.35 USD, which is more than triple of the amount of the subscription. I have to say that this bag was a great value and that I loved 2 of the products, disliked two, and am unsure about the Tarte yet. I was ready to let this subscription go and move on to bigger and better things. What did you get in your December Ipsy? Did yo love it?

With Love,

Selena

Decked Out: December Birchbox

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

It is day 27 of my 40 days of blogging for Lent and I have to say that I am so excited to be catching up to these posts! I am so behind, it is not even funny anymore. So, without further ado, I am just going to be getting into it, because I know that these posts tend to be kinda long and I really don’t have that much to say. I talk so much sometimes it is hard for me to shut up, then other times, I have nothing to say whatsoever and I am at a lose for words. This is that kinda time for me, so… I won’t be judging the boxes like I did with the bags for Ipsy. I am just going to be doing the products, because boxes are boxes. Let’s face the facts. Some I would display, use for gifts, and storage. That’s life for ya.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré (24-Hour Miracle Cream), 5 ml for 0.37 USD

eye creamEye cream

This is decent sized for using under the eyes and for the sensitive eye lid area. Since the sample is so tiny, I just use it for my eyes at night, so they get all the moisture that it needs. I do not think that I would buy this. I would rather buy a moisturizer specially for the eyes, but this is a nice fix and the little tube will probably last a month or two of consistent eye use.

Folle de Joie eau de parfum, 0.06 fl oz for 1.96 USD

perfumePerfume

Yes, this stuff is very expensive. Almost 100 USD for 3.4 ounces of this perfume. That being said, I do enjoy this perfume and I plan to wear for the rest of March layered with my very pre-teeny cotton candy perfume to adult it up a bit. It is floral but powdery with a hint of sweetness to it that I think will pair perfectly with the cotton candy perfume that I am trying to use up. I just tried it and the cotton candy amps up the sweetness, but the powdery musk gets stronger and isn’t overwhelmed by the sweetness. I am definitely wearing this all month long. It will be my March signature scent.

RUFFIAN Nail Lacquer – RUFFIAN Red, 0.17 oz for 10 USD

Nail polish

I actually gave this away as part of a gift, so I cannot say anything about the formula. I like how this came in a little box, so it is easy to make it part of a present. Dani, have you tried this out yet? Can you comment on the formula?

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Creamy Lip Stain in Sugar, 2.25 g for 9.41 USD

Lip stainLip stainLip stain

This is a beautiful pinky nude lip stain that is a my lip color but better look. It leaves lips looking dewy and moisturized. Since my lips are super pigmented, the swatch on my hand looks darker than the actual product on my lips. I don’t know why but my upper lip is always cast in a shadow. It must be my bad bathroom lighting. I use this all of the time and I think it’s half used. I was so surprised that this is almost half of a full sized lip stain. Crazy!

Davines Replumping Shampoo, 12 ml for 1.22 USD

Shampoo

This is enough for two or three times and I have only used it once. I like the volume that this creates, but it left my hair noticeably sticky on day two when I tried to do something with it. I will keep this for those days that I need extra omph for a style and don’t mind washing my hair for the third time in a week. I usually only wash my hair twice a week.

Davines Replumping Conditioner, 12 ml for 2.04 USD

Conditioner

I love the way my hair smells with this in it; however, I do not find this to be a very moisturizing conditioner. I wouldn’t repurchase this, even though it feels my fine hair to appear fuller than it actually is. I’d rather have soft and frizz free hair. My hair will turn into a frizz ball at the slightest change in temp. So, very moisturizing shampoo is a must for one of those wash days a week.

Davines Replumping Superactive, 50 ml for 19.75 USD

styler

This is half of the full size and I only used it three times. It is already a third time. That would mean that this bottle is enough for nine uses. A full sized bottle would be 18 uses. I do not think that that is enough uses for the price, but this makes my hair so amazingly thick WITHOUT using the matching shampoo and conditioner. If I cannot find anything similar to this, I will probably shell out the money to buy this for those special occasions or hairstyles that need mega volume.

The total value off this box was 44.97 USD. That is over four times the price of what I paid for the box, which is simply amazing! I love a great deal and Birchbox seems to be just that. I think I would give this box 3 stars for just starting out. The amount of product you get is great. I couldn’t judge the nail polish and the moisturizer sample was extremely tiny. Otherwise, this could have gotten more stars from me. What did you think of the December box?

Birchbox Man: December Impressions

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

My dad’s Birchbox Man came in yesterday along with my Birchbox December and Birchbox January box. I think his Birchbox January ships out more towards the middle of the month. I wanted to pamper my dad for all of the things that he does for me and for everything that he has been through. He continues with his great fight with liver cancer and he never buys anything for himself. I want him to enjoy life as much as possible and make his days just a bit brighter. This subscription costs 20 USD a month and a little extra depending upon your states taxes. My total turns out to be 21.25 a month. He was very willing to let me treat him to this at least for two boxes, so he can see if they really send him stuff that he would use. So, here is his first impressions of the box and a bit of commentary from me. Everything he says will be in quotes.

Birchbox Man DecemberBirchbox Man December

December CardDecember Card

He loves the reusable packaging and the card that comes with it. He’ll know how to use all the products and what they are without having to decode it by reading the tiny print on the bottles. He didn’t read the card, though. He wanted to be surprised when he opened it up.

Capsule Collection Zipper Case by Nick Wooster, 38 USD:

Zipper CaseZipper Case

This makes the whole box worth the money already. It is such an amazing buy. My dad immediately put his electric trimmer in this case with all the attachments. He is proud that he can now be organized and not lose all of his things. His cancer causes forgetfulness, so keeping things organized is a must. Here is what he had to say about it:

[The zipper case] is really nice and it is a neat case. It feels expensive and it is something I never would have bought. I just don’t think about things like that and it was a lot of money. I never would have spent that much.

Exfoliating Body Bar by Baxter of California, 1 oz for 2.29 USD

Body BarBody Bar

I just bought my dad an exfoliating body bar for Christmas by Tree Hut that he absolutely loves, so I know that he was excited when he saw that this is an exfoliating bar as well. A full sized bar is 7 oz for 16 USD, so if he loves it, I will splurge and get him one when I do a birchbox order. I mean, I bought an 8 oz Fresh soap for 18 USD. I love that soap and huge bars last for MONTHS.

I am excited to try it, because of the other bar that you bought me. It really scratches my itchy skin, but also leaves it feeling soothed and moisturized. You know I have an itching problem, because of the chemo. This satisfies my itch, but is like aloe as it makes the itch lessen after use. It smells nice as well like my Old Spice deodorant.

Sage Styling Cream by (Malin + Goetz), 1 oz for 5 USD

Birchbox 008

My dad likes to have a light hold on his hair, because it is curly and wild. I don’t know how often he will actually use this, but I know that he will try it and use up the sample. Only time will tell if he loves it enough that he would want me to buy it. He wears hats most of the time, so I’m not really sure. This one is really up in the air.

I will try the hair cream, but I’m not too into primping in front of a mirror. If it holds my curls well without frizzing out, I think I’ll like it. Not too excited about it. I like styling wax better I think, but I don’t know. I’ve never tried anything like this before.

Oil Eliminator Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Face Wash by Kiehl’s, 1 oz for 3.24 USD:

Cleanser

I think that this will be a miss for my dad, because he has dry skin, not oily skin. He has already told me that I can use this sample if I want it. I told him that he needs to try it at least once, because it might not be drying on his skin. If this dries his skin or leaves it feeling tight, he will not like this one bit. He has really dry skin from the chemo. It is a fail for him, I think.

I don’t have oily skin. I’ll try it, but I’ll probably give it to you. It smells nice though. I want to see how it makes my face feel and I’ll go from there. I know its a nice brand, because you like it.

Naturaltech Rebalancing Shampoo by Davines, 3.38 oz for 9.06 USD:

Shampoo

This shampoo is for oily hair again and my dad has a dry scalp. He actually really likes this one though, because it is tingly like the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo. If he likes this one more, I will buy him this one, because it does come out a bit cheaper than the PM which I can only buy at a salon. My dad really likes fancy hair care, while I like anything that is natural: low or high end.

This is a really big sample. I don’t like that it is a bit runny and the whole bottle almost pours out. It’s like A1 sauce in that way. You have to be careful with it. I think it will last me a month or so and I like the minty sensation. It is really pleasant and the scent is calming to me.

Overall, the price of this Birchbox was 57.59 USD, which is over double of what I paid for it. You cannot go wrong with this for the price. It is an amazing value and three out of five is really good for the first box and he might like the other two. We will see. Has anyone else tried the Birchbox Man? Are you interested in seeing me continue to do this on my blog? I am also going to do a final impression of what my Dad thought about the box after using everything for a bit. What do you think? I think this might just be a new series, because I know some guys read my blog as well. Speak up, men! Do you like this post?

Beauty, Favorites, My Life

December Favorites

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I had a few favorites this month and a very lovely December. My number one favorite was the Holiday Season, not just Christmas day, but everything that goes along with it. I love picking out the tree and taking it home to decorate. I love shopping for gifts for loved ones and wrapping them to put them under the tree. I love seeing the joy on their faces, when they find truly thoughtful gifts. I love how excited my dogs got with their gifts and how they never get bored of anything. I loved the festivities at work and the smell of Christmas Trees. I just love everything about the season. I loved what I got for Christmas which was clothes, a perfume, and a treadmill. I will show you guys everything that I got once my treadmill comes in. Oh, and I have to exchange the perfume, because my dad accidentally bought it in the men’s scent. lol. That post will be coming at the end of the month, most likely.

I also got a few games for myself for Christmas that I have been enjoying. Once I have played them long enough, I will be giving reviews on them as well. Overall, it has just been a great month for me and instead of doing a typical Favorites post, I’m just gonna write how I felt about every month and what I liked about it and what I didn’t. Products come and go. What I like today, I might not like tomorrow. My feelings? They don’t go away as easily. I love reviewing the month and what happened to make it memorable.

Do you like this favorites style? Do you want me to still highlight a beauty product that I really enjoyed? I think I could highlight one product, but I feel like my eventually review would do it more justice.

Empties: The December Edit

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

It is that time again! I cannot believe that 2014 is gone and it is now 2015! I am super excited about all of the firsts that come along with the new year. I am also changing up my life and my self for the new year. I am…..wait for it……going BLONDE! That’s right, gurus! I am going from my dishwater/dark blonde hair to a medium blonde. I might get a haircut, too. Right now, my hair touches my belt and I haven’t had long hair like this since hair school. I might layer it or something. It depends upon how my consultation goes with my hairdresser. We are going to be deciding on the exact color and cut. I don’t know how much it will cost me, but I am expecting a cut and color to range from 70 to 100 USD from my hair dresser. He usually charges me 35 for a haircut and 50 for all over highlights. If I get both, he’ll probably give me a discount deal. I leave him a good tip, so if he can get me in fast and give me a deal, he could easily pocket a 30 USD tip. He owns his own chair, so he could give free haircuts and the salon couldn’t do anything. I’ve been with him since I was twelve, so I’ve known him for almost eleven years. I’m not bragging or anything. Salon’s range in price everywhere you go. I go to a bigger city to my stylist, but he still charges me a small time price. Well, onto my empties for the last month of 2014.

That is it for now, ladies! What were your empties for December? I look forward to reading your empties posts! I love knowing what other people are using and what they thought of them. Since every empty product gets its own review, I do not include reviews on my empties posts. Have a Happy Friday, everyone!
