April Empties

Another month checked of of my calendar and we are officially in my birthday month. I am super excited to be getting my birthday treats and having a great second Mother’s day. I cannot wait for the day that Dean makes me Mother’s Day gifts from school. Speaking of school, that will be a big topic for me next year in regards to Dean. I was discussing it with his EI Speech therapist and I realized that he won’t be in mainstream classes. Since Dean is nonverbal, he will have different goals than the other kids and after kindergarten, will be separated and put in the “special” classroom with the other children that have autism, down syndrome, and mental handicaps. Part of me is glad that he won’t be made fun of and the other part of me is sad that he’ll be segregated from neurotypicals. I have very mixed and raw feelings about this right now.

If I am going to be using some stuff and pampering, this will be the month for it. I am hoping to finish off a face powder and a lip gloss this month. Anything else will be a nice bonus, because I am not focusing on anything. I am just enjoying the stuff that I have and using it up will just follow naturally. I don’t want to use stuff up for the sake of using stuff up, you know?

March Empties

Another month gone and another month’s worth of empties. We are getting very close to my birthday month and my vacation month. My dad is having foot surgery and I will be taking a month off of work to take care of him and my son. This year is really flying by. Why couldn’t high school have flown by as much as time seems to do nowadays? Seriously. Time goes by so slow when you are young with no money and when you actually grow up and can spend, time flies by so much you don’t really get the chance to do what you want to do. April starts my lifestyle changes. I have new hair (coming up soon), new exercise routine, and new meal planning. I hope that I stick with it.

For some reason, the last picture was half corrupted, but I am including it anyway. I already threw out all of these empties. I am trying to review the products in my empties that I want to review before throwing them all out. That is why my empties have been late recently. I currently have a ton of older products that I used up that I have yet to write reviews on. I want to review anything new coming in, so I can tackle that empties bucket without adding more to it. You will probably be seeing a shit ton of reviews, especially when I start up college. Reviews are super easy for me to throw on my blog when they are already typed up. 🙂

December Empties

Instead of saying another month gone, I’ll say another year gone this time around. I believe the older you are, the faster time seems to go by. Time never went by this fast when I was in high school. It only ever went fast when I was actually enjoying my life. Now, days that drag and days that fly, all seem to go at the same pace. Sounds cliche and maybe it is but it is also the truth. I would never go back in time. I want to always be moving forward, never going back. For the new year empties, I am going to be trying a new style of empty posts. December was a light month for me and January is already looking better. I have been decluttering some makeup products here and there that are just not good anymore. As I go throughout the year, I plan on decluttering anything that I don’t like that I know are recent products to friends and anything else can and will be thrown away. It’s time for a new me that doesn’t keep products around just to have them.

November Empties

Hey guys! Another month gone and Christmas and Dean’s birthday are right around the corner. I had quite a few empties this month, so I was very impressed. I have a ton of reviews to write now in my spare time. I’ve been building the furniture I bought on Black Friday this weekend and I’ll be able to show them soon. I finished off quite a few minis, but also some full sizes as well. I’m very proud of what I have been able to accomplish. I am looking forward to seeing what I can finish off before it is time for my January inventory to start off the new year with. I will be busy inventorying my whole collection and making plans for my 2018 year project pan where I want to use up 250 beauty related items next year. There will  be plenty of fun posts in the new year. I’m happy that I’m only doing one project next year. Simplified.

Empties: July

I have quite a few products that I used up in July. July turned out to be a good month for me and it is mostly due to my project pan. It really motivated me to use and enjoy what I have in my collection. I’m looking forward to reviewing some of these products in my post, so stay tuned for some reviews. I’m really a review blog for the most part. I love writing reviews on products that I have used up and I have a ton of posts in back stock. I just use up so many products that the reviews get backlogged. I try to mix it up, so it’s at least a variety. That means that some of these items won’t be reviewed for months though. I impressed myself this month with 40 empties. Granted only 23 were beauty, skin care, and hair care products. Still, 23 beauty related empty products is amazing in one month. I think August will bring around 20 items total. I really emptied quite a few products. Most of what I am using now are mostly full. I’m not thinking that I will have a whole lot, which is good. I have so many reviews to write about now. About 20 I think. I know it’s August 6th right now, but I have an empty bucket.

Colombian

For Dunkin’ Donuts Colombian

I bought this, because the brand was on sale and I enjoy Colombian coffee. I wouldn’t buy this one again though. It really didn’t taste like Colombian coffee. It was really too mild a flavor to be called Colombian, which has a full, bold, dark flavor. The Dunkin’ Donuts brand is really hit or miss on all of its varieties. I love some, hate others, and am unimpressed with the rest. This isn’t the worst coffee. I don’t hate it. I’m just not impressed with it. It doesn’t taste like I think it should based on the other brands of Colombian that I’ve tried.

Caramel Coffee Cake

For Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series in Caramel Coffee Cake

This coffee flavor is like heaven on earth. It’s delicious and if I see another limited edition bakery flavor, I will snatch it up. This one is seriously amazing. The coffee has a sweetness to it of cake, but the most notable flavor is the buttery caramel. I am a mocha girl, but this may have me voting for team Caramel. I even bought a caramel coffee creamer, because this coffee was so delicious. If you love coffee and prefer it flavored, than you have got to try this. It will not disappoint. I’m not a huge fan of DDs, but this one has redeemed them a bit in my eyes.

Darkness

For Dunkin’ Donuts Dark Coffee

There is such a thing as too dark and I find that this coffee was just that. It left a burnt taste in my mouth that I didn’t care for, but it definitely had full bodied flavor. I am an avid coffee enthusiast. I drink two to three cups a day and am always trying out different brands and flavors. For Christmas, I am thinking about upgrading to a better single serve coffee machine. I don’t like more than one cup at a time and I don’t live with a coffee addict, more like a tea totter. I don’t want a machine that can make a pot. I might just invest in a Keurg, but I don’t usually by single serve pods.. I’m in a quandary. What do you recommend?

My bag is overflowing from all of the empties I have in there. I am hoping that there is at least twenty products in there. I was really dedicated last month in using up products that just had a little bit left in them. I still have a few almost empty products that I’m sure will be empties in September. Wow! Almost 30 products that I have used up. This is so amazing! I cannot wait to see what I use up in September. I don’t have any empties so far, but I’m sure that I will start using things up left and right. I have nothing to repurchase yet. I haven’t used up the last of anything important in my skin care routine, plus I have plenty of back ups! I will be buying a few school/college supplies next week when I get my books for my class AIT 131 Essentials of Information Technology. I love shopping for college/class supplies. Maybe, I’ll get some supplies for my desk as well. Anyways, I’ll be hitting the dollar tree and Walmart for supplies next week I’m supposed to get my books on Thursday!

America Runs On…Julamorous Day 1

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to Day 1 of Julamorous, where I post everyday in July. I hope I can stick with it. Most of the posts will be scheduled to go up ahead of time, since you never know with a baby. I hope you all enjoy it. Now, to the product review! I’m sorry I don’t have a pic to go with it, so enjoy my nails!

For Dunkin’ Donuts French Vanilla

What It Is:

A K-cup coffee pod that brews drinks to perfection (by manufacturer’s standards).

Key Ingredients:

Coffee. 🙂

How It Looks/Tastes/Smells:

The coffee came out solid black looking and smelling strongly of french vanilla. It tasted a bit burnt/strong with only coffee creamer and 1 equal packet, so I added another equal packet. It vastly improved the flavor. I think the flavored coffees are supposed to be mixed sweeter than how you normally would have your coffee. I like mine a bit bitter.

Why I Like It:

I enjoyed this flavor, but I would much rather use my 1 USD coupon on hazelnut or a dark roast coffee. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy this flavor. I just prefer non-vanilla flavors. It was a good cup of coffee though. The quality was there and on average, better than what you would get in the store.
