Mini Macy’s Haul

So, I had the day off today. After going to my appointment, I stopped at Macy’s on the way home to shop their clearance. Well, I found a few cute things for Dean and spent 18 USD. I love getting high quality items without spending the high original prices. I was unhappy with the way I look, which is why I bought nothing for myself. Now that I have the green light for exercise, I think I’ll be happier with my figure. After gaining 65 lbs during pregnancy, I am happy to say that I have lost 45 lbs of that extra weight. I only have 15 lbs to go to be back at 130, which was my prepregnancy weight. Knowing that I’m only 10lbs away from wearing my old clothes really cheers me up. I might buy a few new things next month. I had so many questions answered that I feel like I’ve hit a turning point.

First Impressions Onsie in Bluebelle Multi for $3.49 USD

I think the design of this one is very cute with the little elephants. It has become an instant favorite of mine and something that he wears every time it is clean. After discovering the power of oxyclean, Dean wearing white (anything for that matter) doesn’t phase me anymore. I can get ANY stains out with that stuff. It is a miracle product. Breastfed baby poop is so hard to get out once it sets in, but hit with oxyclean and the stain is gone. I could write a testimonial about it. 🙂

First Impressions Onsie in Deep Black Multi for $3.49 USD

I thought this one was whimsical, so I had to get it. I was pleasantly surprised when these items were even more discounted than they stated on them. Onsies are staples for me, since I usually throw one on him and decide if I want him to wear pants/shorts. Sometimes, it’s just too hot to wear pants! Nothing like telling the whole world who my main man is.

Carter’s Baby Little Layette 3 piece set for $11.99 USD

I love how this set goes together and the little sayings are precious. Dean’s my little monster alright. I have to be mommy and daddy, but that’s alright with me. I’m happy to be both parents. My own dad can help fill in the role of daddy with those future baseball games and other boy stuff.

Just a quick little haul today, since I had the day off. I gotta go. It’s dinner time!

With Love ❤

Eight O’Clock

For Keurig Brewed Eight O’Clock Colombian Peaks K-Cup Packs

coffee

What it is: 100% Colombian Arabic coffee

Key Ingredients: Arabic coffee, foil, plastic

How it smells/tastes/looks: I love the smell of strong Colombian coffee. Honestly, Colombian coffee is my favorite kind (without anything added). The coffee is very dark, almost black. No other coffee is quite as dark as Colombian coffee. Colombian coffee has a rich, strong coffee flavor with just a hint of sweetness to it. This coffee has that bold flavor with zero burnt taste that some coffees can get if brewed improperly.

Why I like it: The coffee is always brewed to perfection, since it is a K-cup. I like that you can always get a deal (I wait for  them at Kmart) and use a coupon to further along your buck. I enjoy the way the coffee tastes. I like that with a little bit of sugar and creamer, you can still taste the strength of the coffee. That is quality coffee for you. I really love the Keurig. I will be buying the Hamilton Beach coffee maker or any brand coffee maker that you can brew K-cups in and ground coffee. I saw one online at Kmart for 25 dollars. So, if you are looking for a Christmas gift for me, a coffee maker would be heaven on earth. I need my coffee fix! Especially after delivering a baby boy.

Chocolate Nesquik

For Nestle Nesquik in Chocolate

My nail look from the past week.
My current nail look for Manicure Monday.

What it is: An infused chocolate drink mix targeted towards children.

Key Ingredients: sugar, cocoa, salt, spice, artificial flavors, vitamins, minerals, soy, milk, wheat

How it smells/tastes/looks: It smells like rich powdered hot chocolate mix and you could probably use it as hot chocolate mix as well, even though it is meant to be a breakfast drink. It looks like regular chocolate milk and tastes like it too. I personally like powdered versus syrup, because I think powdered is less in calories and easier to mix together with cold milk.

Why I like it: I like that it doesn’t take much effort in the morning to make and that it does offer some type of nutrition that regular chocolate milk does not. I would buy a small container of this for me and my future son to share. I wouldn’t drink this all of the time, pregnant or not. It is a nice alternative to breakfast when you are just not up to having anything to eat. This would be better than nothing, that is for sure.

First Impressions: Vaseline*

For Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturizer in Aloe Soothe*

lotion

What it is: A non-greasy spray lotion that moisturizes and absorbs in seconds to help heal dry skin.

Key Ingredients: water, glycerin, methylparaben, fragrance, petrolatum, aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder

How it feels/smells/looks: It feels cool and soothing spraying it on. I like that I can spray it upside down and not worry about the spray stopping on me. It has compressed air, which allows you to spray in a continuous motion and upside down without wasting product/air. It smells like aloe, but with a fragrance to it that is pleasant. It also smells a bit like generic lotion as well. It is a clear to white spray lotion. It is clear if you do a thin layer and keep moving it over your body. It is white if you stay in place for too long.

Why I like it: I like that this is a quick way to get ready in the morning. If I lotion during the morning, it takes like fifteen minutes to apply, rub in, and let dry before putting on clothes. This cuts that time to five minutes. I really love it and my skin feels just as moisturized as with traditional lotion. I don’t like that this is made with a by product of fuel, petrolatum, but I would buy this in another brand that does not use this in it. I really like spray lotion and I am sure that others on the market are very similar. I will be using up the rest of this and if I have coupons, I would repurchase it as well. My dad would love to have a bottle of his own for on the go moisture when his skin gets bad. He doesn’t like the petrolatum in it as well.

DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED THIS PRODUCT FREE FROM INFLUENSTER FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY. ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN.

First Impressions: MJCARE (Sample Wednesday Came Early)

For MJCARE Sea Weed Essence Mask

wpid-wp-1418507006161.jpeg

What it is: A sheet mask soaked in essence that is supposed to make skin elastic, moisturized, clear, and relaxed (They make the same claim no matter the product/type of mask).

Key Ingredients: The Good: water, algae extract, aloe leaf extract, witch hazel, and a handful of vitamins. The Bad: fragrance, propylparaben, and methylparaben. Also, I want to know if this is made in North or South Korea, before I repurchase it.

How it feels/smells/looks: The sheet mask has a light delicate scent that disappears once it sits on your face for a bit. When you first put on the mask, it feels slimy and cooling. It feels very relaxing as well. It makes me look like a masked serial killer though. Lol. I had a lot of fun with this highly moisturizing mask. It is a time commitment though, because some weekends, I just do not have two hours to unwind and relax. For me, it takes that long for my skin to absorb all of the goodness.

Why I love it: I may not love how long the process takes, but I love how relaxed this mask makes me feel. I feel like this mask really did relax me bumped up the clarity of my skin and without a doubt, made my skin moisturized without being oily. It depuffed my skin, but plumped up my skin in a really good way. My skin did not get oily that day or the day after. On a whole, I would say that my skin was less oily on average that week, which is a vast improvement. Next time I watch a movie, I will definitely pop on another one of these face masks.

First Impression: Meow Mix

For Meow Mix Tender Centers in Salmon & Turkey with Vitality Bursts

[DISCLAIMER:I was sent a 3 oz sample through the mail by the company; however, I am not being paid or sponsored for this honest first impression. All opinions are solely my own.]

What it is: This is quality cat food that is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and it also contains essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants for your cat, especially if your cat lives indoors only.

Key Ingredients: This contains a bunch of great nutrition for your cat like whole wheat, animal fat, chicken, salmon, turkey, vitamins, and minerals. It also contains ingredients that your cat doesn’t need like artificial flavoring and corn syrup. My cat is way too skinny, so I don’t mind giving her these fattening things like corn syrup. She is also really picky, so I like to stick with what she likes.

How it feels/smells/looks: I am not about to smell this food, but it looks really colorful and appealing. Cats can see at least primary colors, so it should stimulate her senses and get her interested in tasting the food. It feels like regular crunchy cat food, but the insides are very mushy. I do not know if cats prefer crunchy or not I think that my cat likes both, because she eats both dry and wet food. I wish I could read her mind, though.

My Impression of my cat’s reaction: My cat went crazy for this food. She ate it like she had never seen food before. I think that buying small bags of this cat food to mix with her regular food would get her excited to eat and possibly eat more. I need her to gain weight, so the fact that she really likes it means that I will be buying her some of this food. I got a coupon for a free topper can, so I will be picking one up for her to try as well. As I type, she is eating the new food and the sample was enough to fill up half of her bowl.

First Impression: Chanel

For Vitalumiere Aqua in 30 Beige

[I didn’t take a picture of the foil packet, because I didn’t think I had to since it is just a boring foil sample packet. #sorrynotsorry]

What it is: Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua is an ultra-light skin perfecting foundation with SPF 15 to keep skin looking young and dewy.

Key Ingredients: The sunscreen ingredients are listed first followed by a bunch of synthetics. I don’t see anything special that would really make this a high end product.

How it feels/smells/looks: The product feels light on the skin and I feel like my skin can still breathe. It has a slightly powdered finish, but matches my skin tone perfectly. I really like how easy my skin tone was to match in this high end line. It seems like I have such a hard time finding shades in drug store brands. This stuff also smells amazing like Chanel N 5, which is amazing to smell expensive. 😉

My Impression: The product has a flawless application and dries slightly dewy on the skin, besides smelling to perfection. However, this provides very light coverage and you would need to pair this with a powerhouse concealer. I also found that there is nothing spectacular about this product for me to pay the hefty price tag. If I want to smell like N 5, I will buy the perfume. This doesn’t do much for my skin and I find that the BB Cream that I already have does a better job at a much lower price. I do not have the lifestyle where I can just buy expensive product that don’t do much. I have to save, save, save and this product isn’t worth saving for me personally.

First Impression: Especially Escada Delicate Notes

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I am cleaning up my categories with my guru blogger friend Jen. I am taking a page from her blogging book and broading my categories to make my posts easier to search for. I am also making my tites of my posts more earch friendly, but every post will include the unique title that I would have given it anyways. I want my blog to be successful and I will always have three posts up every week. I may be able to do more, but my life is very busy, so I might not have time for more. On those days that I cannot really write a good detailed post. I will do a quick post or a little DIY tip that I have collected over the years. This way, I still post everyday, so you don’t miss me, but I will only do detailed ones three times a week at least. So, join me tomorrow on my new blogging week.

Definitely Ununique

Especially Escada Delicate Notes

This perfume smells really nice and light, but it strangely smelled like another perfume I owned. This perfume costs 46 US DOLLARS an ounce and originates from the Czech Republic. The smell of this perfume is heavenly, but it smells very similar on my skin to Harajuku Lovers Love perfume. Although delicate notes has a sweeter floral scent and the Lovers holds a sweet musk, the scents are similar enough to be mistaken for each other or as the almost same scent. I do think that the Delicate notes is more bang for your buck, so when I run out of Lovers, Iwill be purchasing Delicate Notes. I cannot really judge the perfume by a little sample in the mail that is only a once use deal, but I really like the scent. It is definitely a sweeter side of me for daytime use.

Has anyone else tried this or another perfume by this brand? What perfume are you loving for August? Leave a comment below or a request.

With Love,
