Evian Facial Spray

Ah! Love is in the air and with it Wedding Festivities! I was lucky enough to be invited to the wedding of one of my coworkers. It happened in the beginning of September and it was beautiful even though a few things went wrong according to the bride. No one else noticed though.

When I heard that Evian Facial Spray could be used to transform your shadows into cool foil affects and intense pigmentation similar to Mac Fix Plus, I knew I HAD to try it out for myself. Let me tell you, this is a total dupe at 18 USD for 10 oz compared to Mac at 23 USD for 3.4 oz.

Here is a little about the brand:

Pure, natural skincare from the French Alps, evian® Facial Spray is very beneficial for any skin type at any age. To ensure that every canister of evian® Facial Spray contains the same extreme purity and neutral 7.2 pH that has earned decades of international respect, evian® water is tested 300 times each day.

evian® Facial Spray’s unique, balanced, mineral content and exquisitely fine micro-droplet mist allow skin to better absorb its hydration and blend and finish makeup into a smooth, natural look. This favorite of skincare and makeup professionals is affordable luxury at its best. Available in three convenient sizes, evian® Facial Spray is leak-proof and environmentally friendly –
1.7 oz. travel size (TSA approved), 5 oz. for tote or office and economical 10 oz. for use at home.

I knew that I wanted rose colored eyes to go with my borrowed blush dress for the wedding. I wanted a statement eye without being too in your face, so I went with my Manna Kadar Fantasy eye shadow that I could do a monochromatic look with. I used it as a highlighter on the cheeks and I wanted it bold on my eyes. I decided to test the Evian Facial spray. I dipped my brush in shadow and then sprayed the brush (I don’t want to ruin the pan of eyeshadow by getting it wet.). Below is the plain brush swatch and on the right side of my hand is the one using the spray.

I couldn’t believe the pigmentation and how reflective it was. It packs a punch without being too out there or intense. The foiled (Evian Facial Spray) eye is on the left and the plain shadow is on the right. You can really see how intense the color is and how it reflects the light better than the plain eye shadow.

Again, foil on the left and plain on the right. The Evian Facial Spray transformed my eye look from being powdery to intense and shiny. I am excited to try this on more of my shadows when I want a bolder look.

Evian Facial Spray also kept my makeup looking fresh all day, even with the heat. I used this quite a few times to cool down without sacrificing my makeup. I really enjoyed using this product and will continue doing so.

Evian is offering a giveaway where 3 lucky winners will receive a wedding- inspired package which includes:
• A $25.00 Amazon Gift Card
• 10 oz. evian® Facial Spray (suggested retail $18.00)
• 5 oz. evian® Facial Spray (suggested retail $12.50)
• Three 1.7 oz. travel size evian® Facial Sprays (suggested retail $21.00)
(total package — over a $75 value)

Perversion

For Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

I love how big and fluffy the brush is. The results of this mascara is stunning. Look at how thick my lashes look with my eyes closed! The brush makes the mascara very easy to swipe on and grabbing every lash and saturating it with color. This makes my eye lashes look like I’m wearing falsies. While I loved the effect, I prefer more natural looking lashes, but I would definitely repurchase a travel sized tube again for days that I want something dramatic. There is still some mascara in the tube, but the formula started flaking on me so I knew it had to go. The mascara itself was thick and sort of gel like which I liked a loot better than wet mascaras I hate wet mascaras with a passion. With my long lashes, it just ends up getting everywhere, making a huge mess. I highly recommend this mascara.

Truth Serum

For OleHenriksen Truth Serum Collagen Booster

serum

It is a facial serum with 5 source vitamin C complex. The bottle doesn’t list of any ingredients. It is a bright orange serum that smells like sweet mandarin oranges or an orange creamsicle. It feels like a mix between a gel and something watery like an oil. It sinks in quickly and is slightly sticky or a tacky finish. I like that this product comes in a glass bottle with a pump. I just wish that the bottle wasn’t clear, because Vitamin C breaks down when exposed to light. I kept this locked up in my dark cabinet. I really think this product helped lessen my acne marks and they are virtually gone now. I would buy a small bottle o this again i I had discoloration that I wanted to get rid off.

Lippi Graveyard

Well, here it is another makeup graveyard! This one features all of my lip products, but this is only what I have in storage. It does not include items that I am currently using. I have a stock pile of lip products that I am not using, but will use when I use what I am currently using up or if I am in the mood to switch it up a little. This is not my whole collection. It doesn’t include my MAC lipstick, EM lip balm, and a few others. I like to keep something in each of my purses, my bathroom, and my desk at work.

First up, we have the glosses:

Lip Gloss
L 2 R: B&BW Lipicious Lip Gloss in I’ve Been Naughty, B&BW Liplicious Tasty Lip Color Cup Cakes in Red Velvet, B&BW Liplicious Tasty Lip Gloss in Snow Kissed Berry, B&BW Liplicious Tasty Lip Jewels in Strawberry Bling, B&BW Liplicious Tasty Lip Color Sheer in Pomme Cider, Avon Fruity Lip Juice Lip Gloss in Citrus Pink. Mark Glow Baby Glow Luxe Lip Gloss, Seventeen Magazine Freebie

The Snow Berry is the pretty white sparkly “snow” one. I love the everyday pink glosses and the strawberry with gold glitter no matter how impractical. Lip gloss is really hard to swatch and congrats to anyone who can make them look pretty. The only one I am not keeping is the 17 Magazine freebie. It looks like children’s makeup.

My lipsticks are next:

lipstick
L 2 R: Colour Pop Lippie Stix Glossy in Bound, Be A Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn, City Color Be Matte Lipstick in M7 Cappuccino, Maybelline Colorsensational in 915 Blushing Beige, Manna Kadar Liplocked Priming Gloss Stain in All Of Me, BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie in Get Ready

IMG_0864

The red Hot Damn and the Nude by Maybelline are the two that I am trashing, since the red looks like something is growing in the tube (yuck!) and the nude is too nude for my skin color. It really looks like I have no lips. As you can see, I gravitate more towards pinks and nudes. I love those tones on my skin, but I have nothing against a flattering red or berry. I just haven’t found the right lipstick yet. Plus, I like easy shades that I don’t have to worry about. I don’t want to worry about feathering and the like. These shades are so easy you (almost) don’t need a mirror.

My Pigmented Lip Glosses/Stains are next:

Lip stains
L 2 R: J Cat Wonder Lip Paint in Red Potion, Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in 08 Love Affair, J Cat Wonder Lip Paint in Mad Splatter, Pop Beauty in Fuchsia, Model Co Lip Lacquer in Viva

The first swatch is of the deep berry Cailyn gloss and the next one over is the Red Potion and Mad Splatter. The Pop beauty really smells nasty, so I am getting rid of that one. I am keeping the rest of these. I cannot wait to wear the berry once it is officially fall!

Last but not least, my balms:

Lip balm
L 2 R: Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in 12 Apple Pink, Lip Smacker in Shimmering Ribbon Candy, NYX Butter Lip Balm in Marshmallow, The Body Shop Natural Lip Rollon in Mint, Walgreens Revo Lip Balm in Peppermint, Softlips Cube in Sweet Mint, The Body Shop Born Lippy in Raspberry, Mica Beauty Tinted Lip Balm in Fiesta, The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Lip Butter

As you can see, everything is clear, nude, or a berry. I actually rediscovered some items that I forgot I had like that shocking berry color! It’s just beautiful. I know know what colors I’ll be wearing this fall. I am all about the berries and deep pinks. The colorless balms are good for walks outside and for stashing in your bedside drawer in the colder months. I’ll be rocking my stash for sure. The grapefruit went sour so I got rid of that as well as the mint roll on.

I love “shopping” my stash and discovering something “new” to wear. I will be revisiting this every year or inventory purposes and will be sharing it. I wonder how many of these items will still be here next year? Will some be repurchased? I guess you’ll find out next September. LOL.

Nail Polish Graveyard

And those are only my nudes-pinks-reds! I love the concept of a nail polish graveyard. I’m doing mine a bit different from Tati/glamlifeguru. I’m weeding out polishes that I don’t wear enough to keep and ones that are very similar in color. I need to cut down my collection to the amount of makeup a normal person needs or somewhat normal. Either way, some of these are almost empties so I won’t be able to use them for long. I’m going to be painting my nails again hopefully. I will probably do an updated post next year, because if it doesn’t dry quick then it has no place in my stash.

Let’s get to it:

IMG_0523

These are all of my pink colors. I am grouping them together in similar colors and deciding which ones I will be keeping and the ones that I will be giving away. Danielle if you want any of these, let me know. The rest I will be bringing to work and letting the women there pick what they want.

polish
From Left to Right: Sally Hansen Salon in 4134-1 Creme de la Creme, Lillian Eve in 123 Sweet Dreams, Revlon Color Beam Sheer in 825 Lavender Light

These are my nude colors and I am only keeping Sweat Dreams. It is the only one that is flattering on my hands. It’s a pretty pale shell pink.

nail polish
Left to Right: Nicole by OPI Roughles in NI 454 Rock The Look, ZOYA in Dot, NYC In A Minute in 234 Wall Street

I couldn’t part with any of these colors. The OPI is a texture polish, ZOYA is a nice pink creme, and the NYC is a shimmering pink. They are not alike. They are just in the same color family. I need to keep them!

IMG_0539
From Left to Right: Wet n Wild Megalast in D190A Bubble Gum Pop, Color Club in N22 All That Razz, Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in 4918-05 Flyin’ Fuchsia, Julep in 2283 Lauren

I chose to keep Bubble Gum Pop and Lauren. One is a brighter, bolder pink and the other is more muted in color. The two middle ones were very similar to the two that I already chose. I wanted to keep them, but one girl does not need 4 VERY similar shades of pink.

nail polish
Left To Right: Sally Hansen Sugar Coat in 700 Cotton Candies & Wet N Wild Megalast in 210C Tropicalia

I had to keep the blue-toned pink texture polish and the coral one. I don’t have anything similar to either one of these polishes.

nail polish
Julep in Gloria

I don’t have an orange nail color. This one has a hint of pink/peach in it. It’s unique.

nail polish
Left To Right: Julep in Tamara, Sinful Colors in 1530 No Text Red, Wet N Wild Megalast in 214C I Red A Good Book, OPI Texture Polish in NLM48 Red

I am keeping Julep, because it is a pink-red. I will keep the OPI. I love texture polishes. They dry quickly and I really like the look of them as long as they look neat and not messy. The Sinful Color is a very deep red that I don’t wear, so I won’t be keeping that. I will be keeping the Megalast. I love a red pedicure.

nail polish
Left to Right: Wet N Wild Megalast in 216B Under Your Spell, NYC In A Minute in 262 Murray Hill Mauve, TCW in Dusty Rose, Nicole by OPI Modern Family in NIF03 She’s Lily Something

The dark red shimmer formula didn’t work well the first time I tried it, but I’m willing to give it another shot. The only one I’m giving away is the dusty rose. I never reach for this color. I don’t think I ever actually tried it either.

nail polish
From Left to Right: Wet N Wild Fastdry in 227C Teal Or No Teal, Sation in 9070 Cast A Spill On You, Avon in N015 Lagoon, Rimmel London Sweetie Crush in 012 Blueberry Whizz

Of course, I kept the texture Cinderella Glass Slippers color on the end. Love <3. Avon and Wet N Wild are very similar to the Rimmel, so I said goodbye. I’m keeping the Sation one since it is a deeper metallic blue.

Nail Polish
Left To Right: Sinful Colors in 1324 Cold Leather, Sinful Shine in 1219 Alfresco, Sinful Colors in 9662 Ocean Side, Funky Fingers in 6031 Puffo Gelato, Nicole by OPI Roughles in NI453 On What Grounds?

The dark blue and the one in the middle, I am giving away. I love the Robins Egg Blue on the end and the cool Funky Fingers color with black “sprinkles”. I love the color Periwinkle, so the Sinful Shine is staying as well.

Nail Polish
L to R: Love Charlotte in Code Accholiday, Nicole By OPI Selena Gomez in NIG02 Mi Fantasia, OPI in NLK10 Last Friday Night

All of my glitters are staying. The Selena Gomez and Katy Perry OPIs are halfway empty. I’ll be sad when I use them up. 😦

Nail polish
L To R: Avon in N243 Loving Lavender, Color Club in 971 Port-Folio, OPI Texture Polish in NLM47 Purple

All of my purples are staying as well. Glitter and purple are my two favorite colors. EVER.

nail polish
L to R: TCW in Gold, Nailtini in 124 Champagne, Confetti in 093 Debutante, OPI Shatter in NLE60 Gold Shatter

I have to keep the gold shatter, because that is a cool effect to have. The Confetti is a true gold color and the Nailtini is more of a rose gold. The TCW is very similar to the Nailtini, so I’m giving that one away.

nail polish
L to R: LA Girl Flare in NL33 Neon Yellow, Avon in N910 Sweet Mint, Sephora in 83 Jungle Playground, H&M in Mad Mint, Julep in Amy, Color Club in 984 Wild Cactus

The only color that I am throwing out is the yellow one. I don’t think anyone would want that color. I’m keeping the rest off these.

So, the total that I am weeding out of my collection is 12 polishes and I am keeping 34. I cannot believe that I had 46 polishes! I am happy that I was able to get rid of 12. I will be continuing this series in the future with Lip products next! Press Like if you want to see another installment in the series!

Walmart Haul

Well, I went shopping last week and I came home with quite a few things for Dean. He is starting to eat finger foods, so I bought a few snacks. I also got a few other random items. I want to let all of my readers know that from September on, I will be posting a minimum of two posts a week on Saturday and Sunday. I am starting my Associates Degree in Information Technology. I finally decided that I want to be an IT professional and have the option to work from home. So, I will be starting a course in a couple of weeks and my final will be on/near December 15th. To the haul!

food

Gerber Graduates Lil’ Crunchies in Mild Cheddar

These are like Cheetos for your baby, but a bit better with added vitamins and minerals. He loves to snack on these at lunch time, when I am eating my lunch. He gets his purees after I am done eating. He’ll have two of these at lunch and would probably eat more if I gave it to him. He’s still getting used to eating solid food, so I’m kinda nervous to give him more than a couple.

food

Happy Baby Organic Teethers in Sweet Potato & Banana

These are too big and dry to give to a baby! I got cotton mouth eating this product. I plan on eating the rest of these. It is not safe for Dean to eat. I thought that these would be good for teething, but they dry up my mouth and I don’t trust them. He also didn’t seem to like them. They have no flavor.

food

Gerber Graduates Yogurt Melts in Banana Vanilla

These are super yummy, but Dean is not sold on them yet. He eats one of these at lunch time cut in half to minimize the chance of choking until he gets the hang of solid food. These really do melt in your mouth. I’ve had a few as a snack and they are addicting. I have to snack on his monthly snack food or they will get stale. August was the first month of buying snacks. In September, I will buy him different flavors of these Gerber foods, which have been a hit!

Mints

Ice Breakers Cool Blasts Wintergreen Chews

I like these mints, but the “chew” part is a gimmick. It’s basically like a soft mint. You could NEVER mistake this for gum after the first “bite” or “chew”. I prefer the original mints or the gum with the liquid in the middle. I wouldn’t repurchase this.

sippy cup

Tommee Tippee Trainer Sippee Cups

He doesn’t understand how to use a sippy cup, yet. It will take practice. For now, I have him practicing drinking milk out of a regular plastic cup in the tub when he has his bath, which is every other day unless he has a diaper blowout on the odd day. I like these sippy cups, because they have soft spouts. He seems to like and understand drinking from a cup. He drinks when I hold it for him. He doesn’t hold it himself yet.

Cover Girl Clean Professional Loose Finishing Powder in 105 Translucent Fair

I really like this powder. It was a decent price at 5 USD and it goes on clear. I like it for mattifying my glowy bb creams to less of a disco ball shine. It gives a natural looking finish that is not matte. I use this after my foundation/bb cream and use my highlighter, blush, and bronzer on top of this product. I’ve never had a problem with powder products not laying right on the skin on top of this. Cream products even seem to do well.

toothpaste

Crest 3D White Toothpaste in Arctic Fresh

I want whiter teeth, so I thought that this would be a good edition to my whitening oral rinse. I even have a toothbrush that is supposed to make your whitening toothpaste work better. I like the flavor and the toothpaste itself looks like something out of Frozen. It is light blue and sparkly! My favorite. I love robins egg blue and silver together.

toothbrush

Baby Buddy Baby’s 1st Toothbrush in Blue-Green

Dean loves to teeth on this toothbrush. I have the satisfaction of knowing that his teeth and gums are being taken care of. I put a bit of cleansing paste on it in the morning and at night. Otherwise, it has nothing on it the rest of the day that he uses it. He took right to it and thinks that its just a new neat toy. I highly recommend getting this for your little one. It teaches good habits.

toy

Lil’ Fishys Motorized Water Pets

This was in the clearance aisle and I couldn’t pass it up for only 3 USD. Dean loves playing with this in the tub. He does try to put it in his mouth, but I am teaching him how to catch and release the fish. He has fun with it after being scared of it initially.

Well, those are the things that I have picked up lately at Walmart. Have you picked up anything interesting lately?

Mini Macy’s Haul

So, I had the day off today. After going to my appointment, I stopped at Macy’s on the way home to shop their clearance. Well, I found a few cute things for Dean and spent 18 USD. I love getting high quality items without spending the high original prices. I was unhappy with the way I look, which is why I bought nothing for myself. Now that I have the green light for exercise, I think I’ll be happier with my figure. After gaining 65 lbs during pregnancy, I am happy to say that I have lost 45 lbs of that extra weight. I only have 15 lbs to go to be back at 130, which was my prepregnancy weight. Knowing that I’m only 10lbs away from wearing my old clothes really cheers me up. I might buy a few new things next month. I had so many questions answered that I feel like I’ve hit a turning point.

First Impressions Onsie in Bluebelle Multi for $3.49 USD

I think the design of this one is very cute with the little elephants. It has become an instant favorite of mine and something that he wears every time it is clean. After discovering the power of oxyclean, Dean wearing white (anything for that matter) doesn’t phase me anymore. I can get ANY stains out with that stuff. It is a miracle product. Breastfed baby poop is so hard to get out once it sets in, but hit with oxyclean and the stain is gone. I could write a testimonial about it. 🙂

First Impressions Onsie in Deep Black Multi for $3.49 USD

I thought this one was whimsical, so I had to get it. I was pleasantly surprised when these items were even more discounted than they stated on them. Onsies are staples for me, since I usually throw one on him and decide if I want him to wear pants/shorts. Sometimes, it’s just too hot to wear pants! Nothing like telling the whole world who my main man is.

Carter’s Baby Little Layette 3 piece set for $11.99 USD

I love how this set goes together and the little sayings are precious. Dean’s my little monster alright. I have to be mommy and daddy, but that’s alright with me. I’m happy to be both parents. My own dad can help fill in the role of daddy with those future baseball games and other boy stuff.

Just a quick little haul today, since I had the day off. I gotta go. It’s dinner time!

August Birchbox 2016

I got my Birchbox last Saturday, but  haven’t had the opportunity to write about it until now. I have to say, after not really liking my July box,  am loving my August one! Everyone gets two hair care products this month, since it’s about flawless hair this month. I’m very satisfied with my box. Two hair care products, two face products, and one beautiful eye shadow/highlighter. It really made my day! Here’s my box:

I really love the geometric pattern this month and all the high end brands.

Beach Spray

Oribe Apres Beach Wave & Shine Spray, 1 oz for $4.50 USD

I am so excited to give this beach spray a try. Youtube raves about this product on a daily basis. I haven’t tried this out yet, but I plan to as soon as I wash my hair. Which will be Monday night, so Tuesday morning is when I get to try this baby out! If I am blown away by this product, I would consider purchasing it after I use up my sea salt sprays. I think  have a couple laying around somewhere. Anyway, I am very excited to try this!

cleanser

Avene Cleanance Cleansing Gel, 0.84 fl oz $2.50 USD

This cleansing gel has a strong floral fragrance that I’m not really a fan of. I will use this sample, because I enjoy trying new things and don’t like to see things go to waste. I really like this brand, so I am willing to give this cleanser a try.Who knows? Maybe it’s a hidden gem underneath all that fragrance.

hair oil

Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer, 1 fl oz for $3.30 USD

I was in need for another detangler, so I am happy to have received one in my box. This is going straight to my bathroom counter to use Monday night after my shower. This might be my last Birchbox, since the company no longer allows you to gain points for reviewing the products in your box. As soon as I find a new box, I will let you all know. Anyways, I am super excited to be getting this brand and it will go to good use.

moisturizer

REN Flash Hydro-Boost Instant Plumping Emulsion, 0.34 fl oz for $10.50 USD

This has an interesting concept and smells very fresh. It is a moisturizer booster that you add a little bit of water to. It is supposed to plump up and hydrate your skin before you put on your moisturizer. So, it’s kinda like a primer for your moisturizer. I will use it at night, since I tend to do lengthier routines then and this would fit in nicely. I don’t think I would ever buy something like this though. I’d rather just buy a nice serum to put on before my moisturizer.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Fantasy, 1 pan for $19 USD

This is a pink bronzy color that I actually really like as a highlight color. I would also use it as an eye shadow, but not as a blush. This is such a pretty shade that I’m sure that I will get a lot of use out of this full sized item. You can blend it in for a more subtle look, but this color still stands out after blending. Some highlights disappear after blending, but this one holds up.

Overall, I really loved my box, but am disappointed that I cannot earn points anymore. I will be cashing my points in with my September box and that will sadly be my last one.

EVERPRO BACK2BLONDE

For EVERPRO BACK2BLONDE Temporary Root Concealer

We all need a little concealer, right? That’s why I signed up to try out this blonde root concealer from EVERPRO through BrandBacker. I bleached my hair blonde back in May and while my locks may not be the typical blonde (its more on the brassy strawberry side), I love it a lot. What I didn’t love was having to go to the salon and pay the same amount of money to get my roots done. My hair is a bit damaged from the bleach and the last thing that I want to do is overlap bleach while doing my roots resulting in even more damage.

This is where EVERPRO comes in. My roots are dark blonde to light brown and since I haven’t gotten my hair done since May, my roots are long and showing. Now, I don’t mind a little bit of dark root showing, but I figured that a root concealer would be a good thing to have for when I want less roots showing. EVERPRO is a brand whose mission is to offer innovative solutions to unique hair concerns and offers professional-grade salon formulas for use in the privacy of your own home. No need to go to a salon and waste hundreds of dollars for blonde roots.

EVERPRO has to sub brands: GRAY AWAY and BACK2BLONDE. I obviously chose the BACK2BLONDE for my root coverage. I don’t have enough grays yet! The best part is that this color is temporary, so it washes out in the shower. I don’t have to worry about damaging my hair, but I still get blonde roots. I chose the medium blonde color and the swatch is below on my hand.

swatch

I love that this product comes in an aerosol can, but I still had a learning curve on how best to apply this product. This video was really helpful and I finally got the hang of it. I find that this takes me about 5 to 10 minutes to apply depending upon how much coverage I want for that day or what hairstyle I am sporting. I love that I don’t have to limit my hairstyles, because of unsightly roots. Now, I can part my hair and cover the roots. I don’t have to worry about how dark my roots are compared to the rest of my hair.

Now, to show you the results of BACK2BLONDE!

Here are some glamorous Before Photos:

Here are some half Before/After Photos with half of my roots done with the product:

Here are some After Photos:

Here is the Before & After side by side in the same lighting:

You can purchase this product for 12.99 HERE. It honestly makes a HUGE difference. My hair looks blonder with the product on and it looks darker without it. Amazing! I will be repurchasing after I use this one up.

July Birchbox *Day 20*

I know that I’m late to the party with my July Bircbox unboxing, but better late than never right? I have to say that I was not impressed with what I received this month. I hope August will be a better month or sadly, I will be unsubscribing. I was very uninspired, even though this month’s box was very pretty. Let’s get into it.

At least, I have heard of all of the brands in my box before. Four out of five of my products, but one is a perfume and those are always a pretty penny to begin with.

TOCCA Wau de Parfum in Bianca, 0.05 fl oz for $1.70 USD

Let’s just start off with the perfume then,. I love the Tocca hand creams, so I thought that I would love this citrusy perfume as well. I don’t hate it, but I don’t want to purchase it either. It is a nice light floral perfume, but I wouldn’t call it citrusy. It needs more citrus, but I will wear it. It’s a pretty perfume, but nothing special. I feel like I’ve already smelt it/owned/own a perfume similar to this one. The sample is in a glass vial. I wish it had a sprayer on it, but it is more generous than most perfume samples that I get usually.

shampoo

Davines MINU Shampoo, 2.5 fl oz for $7.80 USD

I enjoy trying out shampoos, but it isn’t exciting or anything. This one is light blue in color and is for color treated hair, which is what my hair is right now. Color treated, not light blue. It is supposed to have a citrus scent, but it smells more minty/menthol to me. I love it when my scalp tingles from menthol shampoos, so if this one does that, at least I’ll be happy with this sample. It is a generous shampoo sample as well.

Conditioner

Davines MINU Conditioner, 0.40 fl oz for $3 USD BONUS

This was my bonus extra this month. The matching foil packet of conditioner. The conditioner is white and does smell fruity with a bit of citrus. I like the scent of the conditioner more than the shampoo. Not much else to say about this one without trying it.

Cargo Blush & Bronzer Duo in Catalina & Medium, 3.2 g for $3 USD

I love the blush shade! It’s such a pretty Barbie doll pink, but the bronzer has a ton of shimmer and I prefer my bronzers to be matte. I love shimmer highlighters and blushes, but I don’t want my whole face to be shimmering. I kinda wish that they would have made the blush shimmery and the bronzer matte. That being said, I will be finding this product a new home. I love the blush, but I’m not going to give someone else half a compact. That would be rude. I also wish that I just got the blush and it was full pan. I hate these half pan things. It makes it difficult to even use the product that you do like.

Scrub

dr. brandt PoreDermabrasion, 0.25 fl oz for $7.15 USD

I love the Pores No More product from this brand, so I’m sure that I’ll love this scrub as well. The small tube makes it easy to take with you while traveling or fit into a small spot in your shower. I love it. The product itself is probably very good. I think I’ve had the microdermabrasion scrub before and that was really nice and finely milled. I’m hoping that I’ll love this one as well. I love scrubs, so I’m glad I got one from a high end brand that I enjoy.

mascara

Marcelle Xtension Plus Curl Mascara, 0.15 fl oz for $7 USD

So, this is a little more than half of the full sized tube, so that makes me happy. I am into curling my lashes, since I already have length and volume with my lashes naturally. I’m excited to see if this makes them curl more. Hopefully, this won’t flake on me, which is my usual problem with most mascaras. I will be trying this as soon as I finish up my Urban Decay mascara. I don’t like to have more than one tube open at a time. Maybe, I’ll make an exception, since UB is my weekend/day off mascara. It is way too dramatic for work.

I am only excited for two items out of five, which isn’t very good. I have had an amazing two months of samples, so I’m hoping that August will redeem this box. I am always happy with the value of my boxes, which this month is over 28 USD.
