Empties: The December Edit

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

It is that time again! I cannot believe that 2014 is gone and it is now 2015! I am super excited about all of the firsts that come along with the new year. I am also changing up my life and my self for the new year. I am…..wait for it……going BLONDE! That’s right, gurus! I am going from my dishwater/dark blonde hair to a medium blonde. I might get a haircut, too. Right now, my hair touches my belt and I haven’t had long hair like this since hair school. I might layer it or something. It depends upon how my consultation goes with my hairdresser. We are going to be deciding on the exact color and cut. I don’t know how much it will cost me, but I am expecting a cut and color to range from 70 to 100 USD from my hair dresser. He usually charges me 35 for a haircut and 50 for all over highlights. If I get both, he’ll probably give me a discount deal. I leave him a good tip, so if he can get me in fast and give me a deal, he could easily pocket a 30 USD tip. He owns his own chair, so he could give free haircuts and the salon couldn’t do anything. I’ve been with him since I was twelve, so I’ve known him for almost eleven years. I’m not bragging or anything. Salon’s range in price everywhere you go. I go to a bigger city to my stylist, but he still charges me a small time price. Well, onto my empties for the last month of 2014.

Empties: The August Edit

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I went through a few empties this month, which I was very proud of. It seems like September will be better though, because I already have two empties and it is only September third! It is a promising start to a new month, a new job, and a new me! My job will be changing on September 15th, which I am really excited about! I cannot wait to start and for that biweekly paycheck to start rolling in. I am also making a personal change for a new me. I am going to be eating healthier and having an exercise plan. I am going to be starting a food diaries series on my blog in pictures and an exercise plan highlighted for the month. I am starting the exercise plan already for the new month and I will be uploading it. The food Diaries, I will be starting the upcoming week and do a week in pictures for it. Let me know what you guys think of these ideas that I have on expanding my blog. Are you interested? I just feel that with a new job, It is time to start a new me. A me that I have wanted to be for a long time. A thinner, more athletic, healthier me that I used to be in high school. I am also starting to go back to teaching figure skating and taking lessons from my coach again. I have already decided on no more competitions, but that doesn’t mean that I cannot stop learning new tricks and being active. Now, onto what you came here for: my empties!

The Final Verdict: Gillette

For Gillette Satin Care With A Touch Of Olay Sensitive Shave Gel

What it is: Shaving gel that moisturizes as you shave, leaving legs silky smooth for days after shaving.

Key Ingredients: The only really good extra that was added in for extra moisture was the shea butter extract. Everything else is typical of shaving gel, including the not so great like panthenol. Okay, I lied. It also contains hydrolyzed silk, which explains why my legs feel so good after shaving and are never irritated anymore.

How it feels/smells/looks: The gel foams up into a lavish cream that feels silky smooth on my skin, which other gels that I have tried do not feel as luxurious and do not stick to my skin as well as this one. It smells a bit better than your average shaving gel, but still has that chemical artificial floral scent. It was still a nice change from the chemically fruity though. The bottle looks very luxe. It is gold with a nice swirly design. It is still your basic aluminum can and I wish it had a pump instead of being aerosol. I hate polluting the environment with unnecessary chemicals. I wish more companies would become environmentally conscious.

Why I like it: By far, this is the best shave gel that I have ever tried. It lets my blade glide smoothly over skin with zero nicks and it makes my legs feel amazingly smooth afterward. My skin is soft for days after shaving and is making me reconsider using only depilatory creams from here on out. I would repurchase this product, if they made this with a pump instead of aerosol in a can. It hurts the environment and is very wasteful. I really do like the product. They just need to repackage the product before I would repurchase.

Empties: The June Edition

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

Today is the first day of Julamorous! If you are just going me this year, Julamorous is a month-long event, where I post every day for the whole month. So, there will be many posts this month and I try really hard not to miss any days and if I do, I always make up for it and will post two days worth the next day. I want this year to be even better with possibly multiple posts a day. I think that this would work better on my days off than when I do work. I work most days of the week. I typically get one day off a week or one day off  every two weeks, depending upon how many hours I can pick up at my second job. I work my second job at Macy’s, which gives out great coupons by the way. I haven’t used them yet, but I plan on using them up in the next couple of months. They expire in September and I don’t want them to go to waste. Anyways, I am getting severely off topic. This is an empties post. I didn’t go through a lot of items this month, but May was a really heavy month for empties.  I predict that July will be a really heavy empties month as well. Well, we are at the end of July and the beginning of August. It is a sad feeling to be ending this summer series with all of you aka #Julamorous.
