The Final Verdict: Kleenex

For Kleenex Hand Towels 60 ct.

What it is: These are soft cotton paper towels that I use for drying up my face after cleansing.

Key Ingredients: Well, these are made of a cottony paper towel substance. Is it weird that this doesn’t have an ingredient list?

How it feels/smells/looks: These hand towels are really soft and gentle on my face. They do have a peculiar cheese smell on the first few towels, which is really weird and all the boxes has this smell at first. Has anyone else experienced this?

Why I like it: This ensures that I do not put bacteria right on my face after cleansing and they will always be a repurchase, until they make something better or discontinue it. A box lasts me a month on average and at 3 USD a month is with it for me.

Empties: The June Edition

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

Today is the first day of Julamorous! If you are just going me this year, Julamorous is a month-long event, where I post every day for the whole month. So, there will be many posts this month and I try really hard not to miss any days and if I do, I always make up for it and will post two days worth the next day. I want this year to be even better with possibly multiple posts a day. I think that this would work better on my days off than when I do work. I work most days of the week. I typically get one day off a week or one day off  every two weeks, depending upon how many hours I can pick up at my second job. I work my second job at Macy’s, which gives out great coupons by the way. I haven’t used them yet, but I plan on using them up in the next couple of months. They expire in September and I don’t want them to go to waste. Anyways, I am getting severely off topic. This is an empties post. I didn’t go through a lot of items this month, but May was a really heavy month for empties.  I predict that July will be a really heavy empties month as well. The Retail Diaries: Day 14

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I’m writing today’s post on time. Yay! I went to work at 11 am today and worked until 4 pm. I had some problems, because of those damn Republicans! No one with food stamp cards can use them. The whole system is down, until they are done with their temper tantrum over Obama’s heath care plans. I really think this whole political system is royally fucked and messed up to the extreme. Excuse my French. Food stamps and programs such as WICK should not be cut. These people and children cannot afford to feed themselves and have a home to live in. The government is crushing the average poor American and it is sickening. I felt so horrible turning these people away with no food. There should be some way to help these people. It’s just sad. I had a rude lady at work today, who was too impatient to wait for a price check then left when the manager was going to talk to her. Basically, she was lying about seeing a different price that didn’t exist. I went shopping after work. I bought my dad a pair of jeans for his birthday. They ended up being 10 something with my discount. I bought Maxwell House Dark Roast coffee, another package of Kleenex Hand Towels, and a Garnier eye roller. If you guys want, I can give a first impressions about the eye roller. I didn’t really buy enough for a decent haul, so I mentioned it here instead. I made my Lush wishlist todah, which I will be posting about tomorrow. So excited for unboxing!!! Until my next post!

Mini Haul: Walmart

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I am currently working on putting up a new Entertainment Weekly up to make up for the one that got cut off, because of the storm that I was experiencing. I want to wait until Friday to put it up, because Thursday Project Runway airs and I’d rather not review two project runways next week. I am going to try to keep my entertainment weeklies on Fridays only, so it will be every Friday post to tune into. Now that I have told you guys what is going on, it is time to get into my small haul at Walmart. As you can see, I go to Walmart frequently for things that I run out of a lot, but I do like for my makeup and certain things to be high-end. I think that if you can get away with a low nd project that works perfect for your skin, than go with it! It is better than spending way too much money for something that works just as well or not well enough. I actually have some exciting news about my skin care routine, but I am going to post about it tomorrow, because I have no time today. Here’s the haul!

A Wimpy Walmart Haul

The Face Tissues:

Yes, I did repurchase these and I will let you all know about the 30 Challenge tomorrow, but as you can see, it has been a success of sorts. I really like how absorbent these towels are and I save the ones that I use on my face to pick up any cat vomit in my room. They dry out nice and are very sturdy for the job. They are very similar to bounty paper towels and I think I want to look into that. I will probably buy a roll and try them, but you cannot keep them as clean like they are in the box. I will contemplate this. When I move into my apartment (still trying to find a job that would pay more to afford this), I might buy them, because I know they will not get dirty if I keep them in a special place. The actual box looks different. It is brightly colored, but I was like how many picture of a paper towel box do I need to upload? You know? It’s a waste of space to show you the same product in different packaging, unless it was really amazing!

The Acne Oil:

I really needed to have tea tree oil ready for when I run out, so when I saw this in the vitamin section at Walmart, I knew I had to have it and it was the last one. *sticks tongue out brattily* I like that I know it is 100% and not have to worry about it. I trust this vitamin brand. My family has bought from them for years. When I run out of Vitamin C toner, I can use half of the tea tree oil and fill the rest with water and have a Lush-like toner for half the price. I will use deionized water though, not tap water. When I do this, I will definitely make a DIY post about it. I will use this straight up on acne though. I figure if I’m sensitive to 100%, I’ll reduce to 50%, until I find the right ratio that my skin likes. I’ll let you know what that is, when I start trials.

The Hopefully Milky Facial Cleanser:

Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Brightening Cleanser With Moisture-Rich Soy Extract

This was surprisingly not that expensive at Walmart. I swear at my local Kmart it is at least 9 if not almost 11 dollars. The last time I bought Alveeno it was almost 10 US DOLLARS. I am hoping that this will be a milky gentle cleanser for the mornings or in the evenings when I do a facial mask or scrub or something. I like the moisture and brightening aspect of this cleanser. I need to balance out the oil production in my face and if I moisturize, my body wont need to compensate and produce oil. I still use certain products to strip the oil and deal skin on my face, but I am looking for moisture rich products to rehydrate the face. I’ll let you know what I think about this product.
