Makeup Monthly: March

I missed this series in February, so this post will be a long one. I was so busy in February with studying for my test and then, my family got sick. It has been a busy month with work updates and I am on call tomorrow, because of this Northeast storm. My work is anticipating a large volume of claims coming in, so I might be working a couple of hours on Sunday at home. I have to dig up my HP monitor so I can see what cord I need to buy to hook it up to my new HP laptop. I have SO many hauls to share with you. So much occurred in February. I also found out that my credit score is good enough to buy a house, so the search is starting next year. Most likely in July since my 401K will mature next September and I’ll be able to withdraw the down payment. I also saw some cushiony state jobs that I can get with an Environmental Science BA. I won’t be stuck in Insurance forever and thank god b/c my corporation leaves much to be desired.

January Makeup Monthly:

month

I decluttered the eye shadow, because it lacked pigmentation. It just looked shimmery on my eyes with zero color difference between the two shades and the black was hella patchy. I decluttered the liquid eye liner, because I don’t use a liquid liner unless it is a glitter eye liner which are VERY forgiving when it has a clear base. This is black with glitter in it. I never line my top lashline in black, only a clear glitter base. I line my bottom lashline and my waterline/tightline more often. I made some progress on the blush, perfume, and the pore primer. I finished half of the liquid lipstick tube and had to take the stopper out. It was very smooth, but after removing the stopper, the rest of it is a thick mousse consistency. I would buy this when I ran out of liquid lips. I finished off the MUFE primer serum, but I would not purchase it.

I am almost done with the Becca primer. I loved it, but I would not purchase as I didn’t see that much of a difference. I really enjoyed the moisture it left on my skin though. I love the caviar eye stick and will pull it out soon in another makeup monthly. I should probably pull out my palette every other month though from March on if I want to see any progress on it. I forgot about it for the third month pick in a row! I only used the MAC lip a handful of times, because my lips have been dry. I used the Burt’s Bees like crazy though. I have one more use out of one perfume, but the other is used up. I only touched the highlighter once, because Becca gave me a nice glow.

I picked out my Harajuku Lovers perfume in Love, which smells very Spring like. I am ready for Spring and no more snow! I chose a nice pink highlighter to give my face a nice glow for when the Becca is used up in a couple of days. I missed filling in my pores last month, so I put the Porefessional back in there. I’m using the MUFE blush as a peachy eye shadow and I have a balm and gloss that match each other to wear at work. I am hoping that I can hit pan on the blush, use up the gloss and the primer, and make a good dent in the highlighter and perfume. Wish me luck!

Perfume Collection 2018

I have done a good job keeping up with my perfume samples last year. I still have a ton of samples, but I am working on them. I was also able to move out two full size perfumes last year, I believe. I am now going to show you my collection and which ones I plan on trying to pan this year. I am going to try to use up ALL of my perfume samples this year, while trying to keep up with using up any that I get in boxes throughout 2018. Hopefully, it will still leave room for me to use up a few perfume bottles of my own.

Body Splashes

These are the body sprays that I have in storage. I have one that I am using on its last legs. I just these as bathroom sprays. Once I am all done with these, I will buy one for that purpose only. I much prefer perfume on my skin since it lasts so much longer without having to be touched up very often. I still welcome them as gifts. I just know not to gift them to myself if I already have one. They take FOREVER to use up. I have two B&BW sprays in Sweet Pea and Seaspray. I have two VS sprays in Sweet & Flirty and Fresh & Clean. Sweet & Flirty is my favorite of the four.

Perfume

I have plans on trying to use up three of the above perfumes: B&BW White Citrus, MaryKate & Ashley #2 Orange, and Lady Gaga Fame. They all have half a bottle or less left over and I want to use them up. White Citrus does not last more than an hour on my skin. MaryKate and Ashley is my oldest perfume and I love it. I don’t want to waste it though and let it go bad. I’m half way done with Fame and I’m over the black perfume novelty. The scent is unique but I hate that the liquid is black. In Control is my second oldest perfume and I love the sweet fragrance. I know I’ll have to work on it next year, because I think it is around 10 years old.

perfume

I want to finish off all of these perfumes this year: Coty High School Musical, DKNY Be Delicious Pink Blossom, Harajuku Lovers Love, and Curve Crush. Realistically, I will probably only finish the DKNY one. Love and Crush only have a small amount in them, so they are a possibility if it is possibly to use up how much perfume I want without wasting it unnecessarily. I want to enjoy what I use up, not use up just to use up. The HSM perfume changed color but not scent. It needs to be a priority this year.

perfume

My Hilary Duff With Love perfume was missed in this photo, because I was using it at the time. I only have a third left and I’m enjoying it. I have Brittany Spears Curious, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy, and B&BW Twilight Woods are pictured above. Curious and Juicy haven’t been opened and I have 2/3 of the roll on left. I would only like to use up the roll on. Anything else would be a bonus.

I have huge ambitions for 2018. Wish me luck. Do you have perfume goals?

First Impression: Especially Escada Delicate Notes

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I am cleaning up my categories with my guru blogger friend Jen. I am taking a page from her blogging book and broading my categories to make my posts easier to search for. I am also making my tites of my posts more earch friendly, but every post will include the unique title that I would have given it anyways. I want my blog to be successful and I will always have three posts up every week. I may be able to do more, but my life is very busy, so I might not have time for more. On those days that I cannot really write a good detailed post. I will do a quick post or a little DIY tip that I have collected over the years. This way, I still post everyday, so you don’t miss me, but I will only do detailed ones three times a week at least. So, join me tomorrow on my new blogging week.

Definitely Ununique

Especially Escada Delicate Notes

This perfume smells really nice and light, but it strangely smelled like another perfume I owned. This perfume costs 46 US DOLLARS an ounce and originates from the Czech Republic. The smell of this perfume is heavenly, but it smells very similar on my skin to Harajuku Lovers Love perfume. Although delicate notes has a sweeter floral scent and the Lovers holds a sweet musk, the scents are similar enough to be mistaken for each other or as the almost same scent. I do think that the Delicate notes is more bang for your buck, so when I run out of Lovers, Iwill be purchasing Delicate Notes. I cannot really judge the perfume by a little sample in the mail that is only a once use deal, but I really like the scent. It is definitely a sweeter side of me for daytime use.

Has anyone else tried this or another perfume by this brand? What perfume are you loving for August? Leave a comment below or a request.
