Pink Cupcake

For Kmart Nicki Minaj Candle in Pink Cupcake

candle

I love the scent of this candle and I am so sad that I used it up. I cannot repurchase, because this was a limited edition candle. In reality though, any pink cupcake scented candle would probably smell very similar. I don’t think that it was a unique scent. It just came in a very pretty glass container. I tried cleaning it out to hold my makeup brushes and it won’t work out. I feel like the only candle glasses you can reuse are the ones from B&BW. You just freeze the leftover wax and it comes right out. A couple of wipes and the residue is gone as well. I cannot salvage this glass jar. Oh well! I loved it while it lasted and I would buy another candle from Kmart on clearance.

Mini Kmart Haul

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

As promised, I have a little haul for you. It is only two items so it is very mini. I had already gone to Walmart, so I only really needed two items. My Walmart didn’t have the two items that I was looking for. I only paid 10.19 USD for this 20 USD order.

Bath oilbath oil

Village Naturals Therapy Cold & Allergy Relief Foaming Bath Oil & Body Wash: This was originally 5.99 USD, but I only paid 4 USD. I will be using this as a bath oil. My body needs some added moisture and my dad loves bath oils for his ultra dry skin. It is brown with a medicinal scent. I like how it claims to help allergies, since I have allergies. I’m hoping that this will be very relaxing and moisturizing. It is supposed to make bubbles, so if it does, that would be a plus. I’m guessing that I will get 30 baths out of this since you don’t need very much to make the water silky.

Sally Hansen

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Light: This was 13.99 USD and I had a 2 USD off coupon. I also used 7 dollars in points, which basically made this 6 USD. I received the coupon with compliments from Influenster. If you would like your own coupon, please follow me on twitter to find the coupon code ink. I cannot wait to use this to perfect my legs and arms when wearing nice dresses or skirts. I also plan on spending the day at the ocean in August, so this will come in handy. Hopefully it works as well as Youtube gurus say!

MEGA HAUL: I LOVE ME SOME SHOPP’N

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

It is day 37 of blogging for lent. I did a bit of shopping today that I had been putting off for almost a month! I know! I was lazy, but there was A LOT of weekend snow, too. I bought some beauty things and some clothes. I bough mostly tops, since I really needed those. I have way more bottoms for some strange bizarre reason. I’m actually going to a consignment shop next Saturday to see if they will buy some of my lightly used clothes (and my never worn Prom dress. Yes, Dan. I was planning on making an appearance at our prom. And my other used once Prom dress from when I went to my fiance’s prom. He was declared prom king. I was the default Prom Queen. Yeah, none of the senior class girls liked me after that.) since my chest decided to be the ever-growing bunny. (pun on the energizing bunny that just keeps going and going). Seriously, I wish it would just STOP. It’s not fun to be petite and have a large chest. It makes my chest look even BIGGER sometimes. So annoying. Am I the only one? Where are my busty gals here? Let’s get on with the haul.

KMART

Here are the little things that I picked up. The girls loved their Munchy Pops and I loved that each package was only 1 USD. It is an amazing price! I didn’t realize that they had a dollar section. You guys should check it out, if you have one near you. I also picked up a package of can covers for only a dollar as well. The orange one is for Shadow and the other two are for the Girls. I bought Clearasil Toner Pads 90 ct for 6.19 USD. It is a three month supply if used everyday. I mostly use this the week before and during my period to keep the extra oiliness of my face in check. This one smells nice and is more effect than using my homemade toner. Toner pads are used when I need something extra. I got a Goody styling hair brush for 2.49 for using to put my hair up in a pony or for updos. My paddle brush isn’t good for those things. As you can see by where I am going with this, I will be having a visit by Mother Nature soon. This Neutrogena Spot Treatment was 7.39 USD and it is great for those annoying pimples. I use benzoyl peroxide very sparingly, since it is so drying. I only use it on those hard to get rid of pimples or cystic acne. I use tea tree oil and salicyclic acid on the others.

SEPHORA

I stopped by Sephora, because I really wanted the GlamGlow Cleanser and I had a 10 USD gift card from Yappem. I wanted to get the white bottle for oily skin, but I ended up getting the black bottle by mistake. Now, when I was watching reviews on Youtube, there were only white and blue, not black. The black is brand new and is the AntiAging one out of the line. Basically, it is like the black face mask, the Tingle Exfoliate or something or other. The one I bought was 39 USD and called GlamGlow YouthCleanse. I am going to be trying it tonight. Do you want a first impressions? If I like the initial application, it will go away onto my beauty shelf until I use up the rest of my cleanser. It only has a week or so left in it. That was all I bought! AND I didn’t break my ban, because I was going to buy a new cleanser anyway.

GlamGlowGlamglow

KOHLS

I bought two different colors of the same shirt for 14.99 USD each. They are from the brand Sonoma and they are Sportswear. I take them in a size medium and they wear originally 26 USD each. I only bought those at Kohl’s. I wanted lighter shirts and they wear selling mostly heavy sweaters right now. I would come back to them later in the year though. The colors are sky blue and army green. The green is a bit lighter in real life. This picture makes it look dingy and grey. It is an emerald army green with a sheen.

FashionFashion

TARGET

This bra is supposed to be a bright coral pink. It’s looking a little nude in this picture. The bra is from GOM and it is a full coverage bra. The next bra is also a GOM bra and it is lightly lined. They both went for 14.99 USD, which I think is a great price for a good, colorful, pretty bra. I love the roses print! It is super cute! And no, I am not going to share my bra size, except that I wear a 34. You can kinda tell what cup size from the photos. The candy pink/coral a line dress is from XHIL and it was 24.99 for a size medium. I love this dress. It has an appropriate neckline and touches the tops of my knees. Oh, all of these clothes are for work btw. I had to make sure they wear appropriate, but also very fun. I am most excited to wear this dress on Monday. OTP. The grey and black tee shirt with high slits on both sides (it comes to about even with my belly button) is from MB and it was 19.99 USD. The sweet light soft pink sweater with the antique lace detail is from MSC and was 24.99 USD. It was a bit pricey, but I loved it. They are both shorter in the front and longer in the back.

Well, that was my haul! Tomorrow, I am going car looking, food shopping, and getting my eyebrows waxed! See ya soon!

Yes, I Am Just Happy To See You

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I bought a few essentials at Kmart recently and I thought that I would share what I bought with all of you. I feel like I shop a lot around the same time. Does anyone else do this? Am I normal when it comes to the frequency of shopping?

Just Because Daily Essentials Everyday Facial Wipes, 20 ct for 1 USD

Face Wipes

I bought three packages of these face wipes. My Kmart has not stocked these since February, so I was excited to see them on the shelves again. These face wipes are the best value for your money, but they are also great quality face wipes. They are SOAKED in solution and super soft cloth wipes. I keep open packets in my fridge to keep them moist for a longer period of time. I find that these work really well on eye makeup as well as face makeup. A lazy girl’s must have product is face wipes.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Oil For The Face, 1 fl oz for 10.99 USD

facial oilFacial oil

I bought this oil and I am super excited about this one. I loved the sample packet, so I thought that I would bite the bullet ad purchase it. Hopefully, it will bring me great results. It is very hydrating and I plan to use it as a ightly moisturizer. I get a little sensitivity near my nostrils with retinol, but that hasn’t happened yet with using this product. If it does get sensitive, I can always add a little bit of cortizone cream to soothe it. This might be my holy grail night time moisturizer. (NOTE: The reason why I did not buy my Garnier Moisture Rescue Gel this summer was that my local Kmart did not carry the product. I will look for it again next summer, but it looks like it could have been discontinued.)

Mega Mall Haul

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I went on a shopping spree on Monday, which was my day off (granted, I wrote this a few weeks ago.). I started shopping at Kmart for a few essentials, then I hit up Macy’s, Victoria Secret’s, Forever 21, and Bath & Body Works. I went all out and got a ton of great stuff with my 2013 tax return. I even had enough money to use on my car for repairs as well. It was a great shopping experience and I loved every minute of it. So, let’s get started with all of the items that I bought at Kmart.

Kmart Items:

Basic Editions Scoop Tank Promo in Light Blue in Medium, 4.98 USD

[It’s a basic bright blue tank top. I didn’t take a picture of it.]

First up, I bought a shirt for free using my SYW rewards bonus points. So, I got a 5 USD tang top for nothing, nada. Major score!

Tree Hut Loofah, 2 USD

Loofah

Next off, I bought this loofah by the brand Tree Hut, which I went crazy and bought a few more of their things. I really needed a loofah for my Lush Shower Jelly and this one is the perfect size for my little hands. I also like the more natural color than the artificial brights.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Coconut Lime, 18 oz for 6.49 USD

Sugar ScrubSugar ScrubSugar Scrub

I have yet to try this body scrub, but it smells amazing which is why I bought it. It is a beautiful blue green color with coconut shell particles for extra exfoliation. I can definitely smell the coconut and lime with a hint of sugar sweetness, courtesy of the sugar aspect of the scrub. I found out about this brand from Elle Fowler from allthatglitters21 on Youtube. She loved this scent and I have to say that I am in love with this as well. I thought that the product would be really expensive, but the range is very affordable. I was happily relieved about that. She took this on vacation with her, but using this, is like a vacation for me. I am hoping that I can trade in my Bath  Body Work’s expensive scrub with this inexpensive one.

Tree Hut Shea Moisturizing Shower Wash in Coconut Lime, 16 fl oz for 6.49 USD

shower gel

This does not smell as good as the scrub, because it is less sweet and more sour from the lime. Actually, it is a bit apple scented as well. I cannot wait to try this body wash. It is a nice big size for how inexpensive this product is.

Tree Hut Shea Extra-Rich Moisturizing Lotion in Coconut Lime, 9 oz for 6.49 USD

Body Lotion

This smells almost identical to the scrub, except the lime is a bit more apparent. This sinks right into the skin, leaving my skin soft and smelling like a vacation. I love smelling like a summer vacation. It is one of my favorite scents. I don’t have much to say about the products, since I just bought them.

March of Dimes Figurine, 50 USC(cents)

Figurine

I got this figurine for free using my SYWR points and this was “pennied out” at my store, so I got it for cheap. Pennied out means that the item is being discontinued, so it sells for less. It was originally 5 USD. It is a cute Christmas figurine for my first tree. I cannot wait for Christmas!

Bruins Socks in Medium for 2.09 USD

sockssocks

I bought two pairs of Bruins plush socks that were clearanced. My discount also saved me 84 USC. So, I paid 3.34 USD for two pairs of socks. I really love plush socks, so these were a treat for me. Fluffy socks are my life. Lol.

The next store I went to was Macy’s, which I spent so little money in. I bought 180 USD worth of clothes for 36.09 USD. I work at Macy’s, so I get the 20% employee discount on top of the 20% off coupon that I used. I also used two 3 USD off coupons that I got for the two Macy card applications, which Kmart only pays you 2 USD per application. I also bought everything on clearance as well.

OhMG! The Boyfriend Cardigan in Black in Large, Original Price: 29.50; Paid: 9.21 USD

The Boyfriend Cardigan

I cannot believe that I bought this light sweater for under 10 USD. It fits very loose on me, which is the style and I am really into the oversize styles right now. I bought it, because it would be great for work and stylish. I really love how soft it is. The quality is just amazing for the price that I paid.

Jennie Active Tissue Tee in Electric Kiss in Medium, Original Price: 17.50; Paid: 4.40 USD

extrasblogs 342

I really love this bright pink cheetah print workout shirt. You put it on over your sports bra for more modesty, but it is still super thin to avoid major sweating. This shirt is so pretty that I would consider putting an undershirt and just wearing it as a regular shirt. I workout at least three times a week, so this shirt will be put to good use.

Pink Rose Fashion Top in Guava/Heather Oatmeal in Large, Original Price: 34.00 USD; Paid: 8.24 USD

Fashion top

This longer sleeve shirt is so soft and comfortable. I really love the color and the stripes. I am a more conservative person and having a scoop neck keeps me covered and feeling confident. I love this tunic styled shirt. It will go great with my leggings.

B. Darlin Junior Dress in Mint/Black in 9/10, Original Price: 69 USD; Paid: 14.24 USD

Mint Dress

The dress is a bit loose, since I am usually a size 6 to an 8 (if the dress is body con, I don’t like it too tight and revealing). This was the last dress and I really wanted it. Since it is a fit and flare, I just need the straps shortened an inch or two for the top of the dress to fit comfortably. When I wore it out for the day, the straps were sliding and on kept falling off of my shoulder. I love how silky the dress feels and it can be a day/night dress depending upon how you style it, which makes it very versatile.

I ended up walking away from Macy’s and straight into Forever 21 for some jewelry…

Forever 21 Meet Me in Paris Bracelet in Silver/Clear, Originally: 3.80 USD; Paid: 99 USC

Paris Bracelet

I love this little bracelet that says “Oui”. It totally caught my eye and I knew that I had to have it. The little fake diamond is a nice touch of glam. The bracelet is really big on me, but for 99 cents, I will make it work.

Forever 21 Bracelet in Gold/Black, Originally: 3.80 USD; Paid: 99 USC

LoveOui & Love

This one is really big as well, but I love jewelry with words on them. This will pair nicely with my love necklace that I got at a shop on Block Island in Rhode Island, if you don’t know where that is, who are you? I am really into dainty jewelry right now, so I loved these.

Forever 21 Headphones in White/Multi, Originally: 6.80 USD; Paid: 3.49 USD

headphones

I really need headphones, since all of mine decided to die one after the other after having them all for years. I loved this, because they are simple with a special touch (the fake diamonds). I like a little bling on my headphones. They are super comfortable, which is most important to me in headphones.

Next, I stopped at Victoria Secret’s, because I wanted to see what all of the fuss was about with Pure Seduction, the product all beauty gurus on Youtube were raving about. What I found out was that it wasn’t for me, but I found a different scent line worth raving about I am seriously obsessed and will be buying more when I run out. I also got some coupons as well. The greatest thing is that it was on sale, when the pure Seduction wasn’t.

Victoria Secret’s Pink in Total Flirt 2-in-1 Wash & Scrub, 10.1 fl oz, Originally: 18 USD; Paid: 12.50 USD

scrub

This smells freakin’ amazing! It smells like sour green apples (real, fresh granny smith apples) and freesia (light floral notes). It is a really fresh, crisp scent that I am going crazy over. This might be my new go-to scent to replace White Citrus. I can see myself enjoying this year-round, not just in the summer months. I need to buy more!

Victoria Secret’s Pink in Total Flirt Luminous Body Butter, 10.5 oz, Originally: 15 USD; Paid: 12.50 USD

body butterbody butter

In the container, the scent isn’t amazing, but when you apply it, it transforms into a light apple blossom scent, a little less fruity and a bit more floral. It is still a yummy scent with a hint of shimmer for that luminous glow. I may have switched my obsession for Bath & Body Works to Victoria Secret’s Pink.

Victoria Secret’s Pink in Coconut Mango 2-in-1 Wash & Scrub, 10.1 fl oz, Originally: 18 USD; Paid: 0 USD

Scrub

My VS’s had a promotion going where if you spend over 50 USD, you got something for free for 20 USD or less. My original order would have been over 50, without the promotion of 2 for 25 USD. I was excited to get this for free and just grabbed it when the cashier said that I could get one more item for the same price. This smells coconutty with a hint of sweet mango. The rose gold cap gives it the perfect luxe touch.

Next, I peeked in at Bath & Body Work’s to see what they had going on and as usual, I was sucked into buying one of their candles, because they were having a Semi-Annual sale. I also picked up another product, because it was 75% off. Curse you promotions! I didn’t spend as much as I used to, though. For some reason, the store doesn’t hold that seductive power over me anymore and I’m not as excited as I used to be with it. Is it just me?

Bath & Body Work’s Home Scented 3-Wick Candle in Turquoise Waters, 14.5 oz, Originally: 22.50 USD; Paid: 12 USD

CandleCandle

I love the candle deals, whether its 2 for 22 or 1 for 10/12. I can never resist a candle from B&BW’s when they are on sale. This one smells refreshing and soothing. It is supposed to smell like sea spray, sunlight, and beach grass. It smells like a day at the beach, so I am in love with this scent.

Bath & Body Work’s Shea & Vitamin E Shower Gel in Coconut Lime Breeze, 10 fl oz, Originally: 12.50 USD; Paid: 3.12 USD

Shower gel

This was a steal for just over 3 dollars, which is really not that much for a great body wash. I am just really into coconut, huh? The lime keeps this from being too sweet. It adds just the right amount of crisp, sour scent to the body wash. I just love it, especially for the price.

So, that was my long overdue haul. I did get a coupon from B&BW, so I will be going back in August/September for more goodies. I really needed body wash, so I am happy that I got plenty of it. I seem to go through about one a month, keeping in mind that I rotate scents around. So happy that I could share this with you. Have you hauled anything lately?

With Love,

Selena Hannah xoxoxo

Starstruck by Lauren Conrad A Fame Game Novel

StarstruckStarstruck

So, yes I went back to Kmart (I had to work obviously.) and I bought the next book in the series. I decided to use my SYWR (Shop Your Way Rewards) points as well as my discount, so I saved even more. This hardcover is a steal for 3.99 USD, when it goes for 18.99 USD at any other store.CoughBarnesNNoblesCough. This book ended up costing me only 3.34 with tax, saving me a pretty penny or two. I am really excited and happy that I bought the second book in the series, because if I love the first, I will want to read the second one. My bookshelf keeps growing and I am so proud that I have all of these lovely books to read and reread on a rainy day. I should really buy one of these books to give as a gift, but with my luck, this person will already have the book by then.

The Fame Game by Lauren Conrad

The Fame GameThe Fame Game

I have been wanting to read this book for awhile and when I saw it in the Kmart discount bin, I had to have it. It was originally 18.99 USD for this hardcover book and it was discounted to 3.99 USD. That really is an amazing deal on its own, but since I work there, my discount made the book 3.47 USD with tax. I am really into reading books written by celebrities at the moment, since most of them are really great books that are well written. They kind of have to be for the celebrity endorsement. Kmart also has the next book in this series on discount at least in my store. I am going to see if I have enough money to get it after paying my bills. I am pretty sure I can afford the 3.47 though. I am totally proud to have this pretty sweet book on my to-read shelf for when I have a chance to read this(pun intended).

Reviews

Spa Quality

Dr. Teal’s Therapeutic Solutions Epsom Salt Soaking Solution Relax & Relief with Eucalyptus Spearmint
Quantity: 3 lbs
Price: 5.19 @ local Kmart

Disclaimer: All opinions are my own and I purchased this product with my own money

4 out of 5 stars

I purchased this bath salt at my local Kmart and I am going to be doing my beauty reviews a bit differently. They are going to be similar to my book reviews, meaning that there will be different categories that I will judge the product by. So, without further ado…

1. Usage: I used these as bath salts and not as an exfoliate or to relieve sprains. So, I cannot say anything about those usages. The packaging tells the consumer to use two cups of bath salts, but half a cup was plenty to get really luxurious results. I used a fourth of a cup for a quick bath. With these salts, you do need to take a shower to rinse off the residue afterward. N/A out of 5 stars

2. Packaging: To be quite honest, the packaging and the scent are the two things that really sucked me into buying this product in the first place. The product is in a resealable plastic bag in a bright purple, blue with green accents. I love the picture of the eucalyptus on the front. The packaging isn’t necessarily beautiful, but it is eye catching. 4 out of 5 stars

3. Scent: The product smells strongly of crisp spearmint in the bag, but in the tub, the scent diluted into a light fragrance. There is an underlying tone of something floral, but refreshing and not overwhelming. 5 out of 5 stars

4. Performance: When I put half of a cup of salts into the empty tub evenly throughout and then, put the tub on the hot water, the scent starts to dilute and spread across the whole bathroom. The feel of the water on my skin is milky and it coats my skin with silky residue that is more moisturizing than annoying. If you cup your hands and bring the water to your nose, the scent is very light and fresh. The salt dilutes fast without a gritty feel to the tub. I find using more leaves salt particles undiluted in my bath tub. 5 out of 5 stars

5. Ingrediants: The picture on the back of the packaging can be decieving. It says that it is Epsom salt plus Eucalyptus, but there is a few more ingredients. There is fragrance and spearmint. The ingredients are almost pure, although it comes across a bit confusing at least to me. 4 out of 5 stars

6. Results: It leaves my skin noticeably soft afterword in combination with body lotion. I always lotion up after a bath/shower. The salts help to relieve achy joints a bit, but can irritate skin that is already irritated. I recently used this when I had a rash and I do not recommend while in this condition. 3 out of 5 stars

Overall, I give this product 4.2 stars out of 5. I truely recommend this, if you take a few baths a week. It is a great value for the price. It lasted me almost 6 months using it only a couple of times a week. Please feel free to comment if you have any questions.
