October 200 Pan

In September, we left off at 126/200 and now, we get to see our total for October. If I finished 10 items this month, it would be a lot. I don’t even think that I have that many empties. I am not discouraged though, because I still have two months until the end of the year and I think that I will still be able to knock off a few more things. I won’t make it to 200, but over 100 is more than I ever thought that I could do. I am still so proud of myself. When I see room in my backup stash, it makes me so happy to soon have that space back to store other things besides products collecting dust. On a side note, I am in my element right now. I have written so many blog posts to try to keep ahead of the curve and I just had so many ideas. Now, I feel a bit emptier and less stuff is on my mind. But anyway, I am happy to see that my backups are not squished together anymore, but have plenty of room. I will not fill up that space though.

SKINCARE:

130/200 I have four items here and I am counting all of them. I have a full pack of the Aveeno Baby hand and face wipes complimentary of Influenster and they were very nice. They are expensive, but if you have the money, they are the perfect morning face wipe. I finished two deluxe sized eye creams. One was my day gel and the other was my night cream. I also used up my month’s supply of Curology. I just got my 2 month supply bottle. I will be reviewing this on my blog soon, so stay tuned. Sneak peek, I LOVE it.

MAKE UP:

132/200 I also finished up 1 lip balm and I decluttered this Nude Stix lip crayon that left white residue around the inside of my mouth. It also wore terribly and flaked away. Not to mention that the color was all wrong for my skin coloring. Not too bad on the lip front with two more out of my collection. Maybe, I can get one or two out again by the end of the year. I go through lip products and I have a good stash of them. I enjoy buying the Sephora Favorites kits to refresh my supply. I rarely buy a full size. I mostly go for mini sets, because they are the better deal and I love trying new lippies.

HAIR CARE:

133/200 I finished up one deluxe sized can of dry shampoo and two packets of hair conditioner that I use to shave my legs with. These conditioner packets come with my dad’s hair dye and I use them. I have separate conditioner that I like to use for my hair, so these are perfect for using for shaving where I don’t care what kind it is. I am going to be buying pricier hair care that is CF, so I will not be using my expensive conditioner on my legs. If I ever use up my back stash, I will buy a cheap conditioner to use for my legs. I have one more can of dry shampoo and then, I will attempt to use up my Lush one again.

BODY CARE:

135/200 Wow. I actually did have ten empties! That really surprises me! I am pleasantly surprised. I used up my B&BW Sweet Pea Body Spray. We used this as a bathroom freshener. Dean really stinks up the house when he goes number 2. I have been going through all of my sprays this way. I am consistently going through 1 a year. I used up one last year and now, this one for this year. I am currently working on a VS one in the Fresh and Clean scent. It is a rarity that I use up a body gel, but I used up this no name sweet pea one that Danielle gave me.

MISCELLANEOUS:

I broke one of Dean’s bubble wands. We salvaged the fluid and poured it into two other wands. I didn’t do it on purpose. It just snapped from use. The other is a pencil that I used up. Remember those plastic pencils with the little lead refills? I still have a few of those hanging around from my middle school/high school days.

135/200 is what I wanted to have done at the very least, so I am very satisfied that this is what I got done in October. I have a masking challenge going on in November and December, so that will be boosting my empties a little bit. I also have a few odds and ends on their last legs as well. I think I might have 15 to 20 empties in the month of November. Now, that might be a generous prediction, but I believe it might come true. At the very least, I want another 10 to be a productive month. I have two skin cares on their last legs, two body lotions, and a few makeup bits and bobs. Hopefully, I can make this prediction come to life. Wish me luck!

Sephora Birthday Kit

The most wonderful time of the year, besides Christmas of course, where you can get freebies at all of your favorite stores. I have another freebie from Victoria Secrets to cash in, plus my free large from DDs coupon. I love my birthday month and my birthday happens to land on Mother’s day this year. I’ll be getting a bonus lunch for Mother’s Day too in my birthday month. I don’t like going on the actual day, though. Too crowded to enjoy a nice quite lunch with the two men in my life. There will be so many hauls this month, so I am sorry if you don’t like hauls. This one is just a mini. I actually just went into Sephora for my birthday gift. That’s it. I was in and out and boy! Did that take a lot of will power. I told myself, you don’t NEED anything…and we are going to Marshalls. 🙂

I just love that little black and white striped bag! I have a little collection of them now, because I like to reuse them for gift bags. I mean, why not? It is a free bag that I keep in good condition to reuse. There were three different gifts you could choose and I chose a CF one. Can you guess it? Yup. The Bite Beauty Kit.

In this free Birthday kit, you get a sample of the Agave sugar lip scrub and lip balm. Oh, yes, to address my swatch photo, that is my new grey hair and I love it. I will have a post going up soon about how I got my new grey hair and in the direct light, my grey is SO light. It is very pretty and I love it. Moving on, on my lips and swatched on the bottom of my hand is Bite’s Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Glace and it is my favorite nude mauve color. Absolutely beautiful on the lips. I would for sure wear this at work. It is a darker your lips but better sort of color. On the top of my hand with a bit of a brown/orange tone is Bite’s Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Chai. I have yet to use it, but it looks like a color that I would wear as well.

I am so happy with my little birthday kit and now, I have two new lippies to play around with. I can see going through Glace SO fast that I know it will be gone by the end of the year. I now have three minis from Bite beauty and they all have this sweet candy citris scent with nice velvet Nars like packaging. I just love the aesthetic and I can see myself purchasing more from this CF brand.

Lip Product Collection 2018

Yup, I am finally showing you an updated makeup collection for 2018. I am thinking about doing another one in June as well, but since this one is coming out so late, I might do it in September instead before I start online college. I will be showing you what I currently have in my collection. In each section, I will tell you what I had last year and how many I used up since then. I am going off of the inventory that I did in July of 2017. This should be interesting and I really hope that I made progress on some of my goals!

Lip Balm: 10

I currently have 10 lip balms. Last July, I had 13, so I used up 4 lip balms.  I apparently wanted to use up everything but 1. That did not happen for obvious reasons, so I will set a more realistic goal this time around. I would like to use 5 of these up by next year, so when I do the update in July/September, I want to have used up at least two. The Too Faced Lip Injection is newly added to my collection since the last update.

Low End Lip Glosses: 9

I said that I wanted to use up all of these B&BW glosses, but otherwise than that, never set a concrete goal on my glosses. I would like to use up 4 of these this year. A lot of the B&BW ones are halfway done, so I think it is a doable goal. Plus, the mini two of the right should be easy peasy as long as I use them. I’m over my B&BW glosses and the VS gloss got in a kit with a lip pencil and liquid lipstick, so that one is recently added since the last July update.

High End Lip Glosses: 3

I actually used up three lip glosses since last July and have added two more in this category. I have been savoring the MAC Trolls lip gloss. It is super pretty. The Anastasia and Marc Jacobs were the two newly added items. The Anastasia is hella pigmented and is a great 90s brown nude on me. The Marc Jacobs is in Sugar Sugar, which is currently everyone’s favorite on Youtube.

Bullet Lipsticks: 6

I have added 4 more lipsticks in this category and used up nothing. Well, I take that back. I used up one that is in my Feb update. I must have taken my pictures after I used that tube up. So, I really added 5 and used up one of the new ones I added to my collection since last July. I had no goal for my bullet lipsticks, because I didn’t have many. I would like to use up two in this category. I could get through two mini/deluxe ones for sure.

Liquid Lipstick: 6

I had 5 in this category last July, I used up one lip paint for the Feb Project Pan update, and have added two liquid lipsticks to my collection since then. The BareMinerals is almost done. I popped the stopper out of it, but got tired of the pink nude color. I will go back to it to finish it off this year. I would like to use up my other lip paint, since it is getting old. I will be happy just finishing up those two this year.

Crayon Sticks: 3

So, yes one of them is a lip liner. 🙂 I added two to this category and I want to use up two of these this year. I’d like to get rid of the brown and the orange and/or yellow side. If I go through the lip pencil with how many nude lipsticks that I own, that would be a plus. I’d much rather have a clear lip liner anyway.

So, my current lip total is 37, which is four more than what I had last July. This is mostly due to my subscription Sephora box. I would like to get down to 25 by next year. I hope that I can do it, but I would be happy just to be down to 30. I love doing my makeup inventory. It really puts how much I own into perspective.

Essential Enhancer

For Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer Conditioning Lip Treatment

I don’t know if it’s full size or sample size, but this tube lasted me forever. I use this as my night time lip balm and it was good. It was a bit gritty especially if I got some on my teeth. I would not purchase this, but I would use it if I got it in a box again. I don’t recommend it, because I don’t like the grit that it has which is similar to the grit that I feel with all natural toothpaste. I liked it, but I didn’t enjoy it. It didn’t live up to my Aerin balm, which is my holy grail.

Just Kissed

For Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain

I only used this as a lip balm. It left my lips feeling moisturized and pink (for the pink one and reddish for the orange one). It was a very pigmented pink or reddish hue on my lips after reapplying it about 3 or 4 times during the work day. It took about 3 to 4 weeks to go through this deluxe size. I liked it, but I would not purchase it. I have found my holy grail lip balm already. I also have the peach and I finished that one. It was a good lip balm and I would use it again if I received it again. I like easy to use products and this one was fuss free.

August Empties

Well, better late than never, huh? I was busy over Labor Day weekend and it didn’t leave much time for blogging. I’ve been trying to get a lot of posts scheduled to go up this weekend and next week. There are so many posts that I want to write, plus a lot of products are piling up in my basket to review. I have a very busy end of year for me. There are so many appointments for Dean to go to and my dad is having foot surgery at the end of the year. I’m going to get in as much blogging as I can, because I might be off and one at the end of the year. I’m taking time off to take care of my dad and Dean, because he won’t be able to take care of Dean for a bit. This is such a busy year for me. Also, it has been the most productive year as well.

I decided to sign up for the next Insurance course to get an Associates degree in Insurance Data Analytics. I’ll be getting my books in a couple of weeks. I might be blogging less. I’m going to take the exam sometime in Jan to March, which is my exam window and I get to chose the day and time to take it. Two Associates degrees kinda equal 1 BA degree right? I didn’t get to interview for that job, strictly on the basis of no BA. Talk about discrimination in the workforce.

I basically felt degraded by the HR manager that talked to me about having no degree and once I told her that I had an Associates degree (in the job description it said you could have an Associates with 4 to 6 years of documented work HISTORY, not specific work experience), she said I needed a BA and work experience to get this job. Quote: “You don’t go from down here to up here. Do you understand?” Oh, I understood perfectly. You just didn’t want to give me a chance to prove that you don’t need a formal education to work in IT.

Not as many empties this month, but still quite a bit. I already have quite a few for September, so I think I will have more empties for this month. I am glad to be using up more of my collection. Eventually, I would like to buy some new stuff that I have been DYING to try. I’m really trying not to be a hoarder and to use and enjoy what I have. I think I have been very successful, despite splurging for my birthday and tax money treat. I need to treat myself sometimes, right? I’ll be treating myself to clip in hair extensions soon enough. I’m embracing my darker, natural hair color. No more bleach. No more blonde. Just…..me.

14 Before Fall: Update #2

Just a reminder, this project ends on September 22nd.

Okay, so on the last update I finished 5 products and I need to use up 9 more to call this project a success. I still feel like this is a reachable goal and if I had to guess, I think I’ve used up another 4 or 5 products. I feel like that sounds right but it could be more like 2. I don’t remember exactly what I used up except for 2 products. It could be that 5 other ones are on their last legs. I cannot remember for the life of me. I feel like the results of this post is going to remotivate me to finish up as much as I can by the end of this project.

Last month, I had 14 products in the project and at this update I still have 14 products. I did add 5 more products to the project though. Wondering my progress and what I used up? Then, keep reading. I am not mentioning anything that I used up at the previous update, so if you want to hear about those, go back and read that update.

Roloxin Lift Instant Skin Smoothing Masque

I still have yet to touch these. I think I will use one on Sunday. I currently have a pimple on my forehead, so I don’t want to irritate it. Once it’s gone, I will use up one of these packets. I have four masks, so my goal is to use up at least 1 every week.

Medicell Eye Mask Duo

I am thinking about using these today, since I don’t feel good enough to wear makeup and that pimple. I don’t know what’s up with me. I’ve felt sick off and on this week. Dean and I have been using the pool every weekend so I haven’t worn eye shadow and other makeup in like a month. lol. So no, update on my pallet this month.

MJCARE Snail Essence Mask

I’m scared, I’m scared, I’m scared. I need to just bite the bullet and try it. If it’s disgusting, I’ll just throw it out. Gawd Hannah, grow up!

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Luminous Hydration Facial Oil

I used this up and I’m not a huge fan of this. A little goes a long way, but I feel that it’s no different from the original, except it’s not a dry oil. I would not purchase this, but I would buy the original again.

Model Co Lip Lacquer in Viva

I used up this gloss and I ended up really liking it. I wouldn’t go out and purchase it. I would gladly use it if I got it again though. I brought in a few replacement lip products to replace it. I cannot believe that I seem to be flying through these.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in K-Dub

No visible progress on this one. I’ve been using it whenever and I have no intention of using this up. I just wanted to be able to use it freely without interfering with using up other lip products and it hasn’t interfered at all.

Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Pearl

I’ve only sharpened this up 1 or 2 times, since I haven’t really been using makeup all that much. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the pool with Dean. I don’t want to worry about wearing makeup in the pool. I’ll probably end up putting this in another project. I don’t think I’ll be able to use this up.

B&BW White Citrus Eau De Perfume

I’m making steady progress with this perfume, but I don’t think I’ll be able to use it up in a month. I’ll try to use it up next summer for sure. I really love the scent, but it doesn’t last. Within an hour, it is gone. Maybe, I’ll try to use it up as a bathroom freshener.

Davines Natural Tech Replumping Hair Filler Superactive

I have completely used this up and I will be replacing it with a different product in this project. This was alright, but it didn’t give me volume. I’m happy to have another mini hair product out of my collection. These minis really pile up and I’m try to go through a couple of full sized hair products right now. Next year, I need to focus on my hair products, which the pile is getting too much. I also have a huge skin care pile right now.

Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil SPF 8

I am almost done with this after forgetting about it for a month. I am sure that this will be gone by the next update, since I have been using the pool every weekend. It is very quick to cover my body and head out the door. It is also water resistant which is a plus.

Jane Iredale Just Kissed Ph Changing Orange Lip Balm

I only have a couple of uses left, so I will call it done for this update since it will be in my August empties. I really liked this balms, but I would not purchase them. They are just okay and I don’t really use balms except at night. I’ve already found my dream balm.

Temptu Highlighter

I am almost done with this guy. I’ve been applying it every work day and it gives a strong glow to the cheeks while still keeping it work appropriate. My company’s policy is really loose though. You can have purple hair and no one would bat an eye lash.

I’m bringing in four replacement items. Three lip products and a backup highlighter. Why 3 lip products, you ask? Because two of them are so mini, I think they might only have about 2 weeks worth of products each at most. I cannot find the photo of the highlighter, but I am also throwing in a spray in hair replacement. I’ll update you guys on the progress in my finale and you’ll know exactly what these products are. I felt like the post is getting VERY long.

So, I finished up 4 during this update bringing up the total to 9 items used up. I just have to use up 5 more to call this project a success. I can do this! With the face masks that would be four and a lip product would make it 5. I’m going to see if I can finish up more!

$200 Before 2018 Update #4

I feel like I used up quite a bit in July and so far, I feel like August hasn’t been as successful. We shall see next month. But this update is a big deal for me. I finished a ton of perfume samples and I am still steadily going through them. I’m using up all of my sprayer samples first and then going onto the dabbing ones. I finished up 4 deluxe sized makeup products as well. It’s very hard to go through a lot of makeup, so I’m very happy with the results that I see here. So at the end of June, I used up 7 out of 20 products with the total adding up to $78.74 out of $200. Let’s see what I can add to that.

Perfume samples: 5 = $5

I enjoyed how sweet the Brittany Spears Midnight Fantasy is. I would pick that one up if I came across it as Marshalls, but I’m on a no perfume buy. It is so crisp and fresh and sweet like candy. I just love it. If I see a bottle at Walmart, I might just have to buy it. The rest of the samples were okay, but nothing that I would purchase for myself. There were no scents that I couldn’t wear. I just didn’t care for them.

Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer Conditioning Lip Treatment = $8

I liked using this as a night time treatment, but I would not purchase it. It felt grainy if I got it on my teeth and I don’t like that sensation. This lasted me forever! I already found my dream night time lip balm, so I’m just trying to use up my balms.

Model Co Lip Lacquer in Viva = $6

I really enjoyed using this and the peachy color pay off. I took out the stopper and used up every last drop. I would not purchase this, but I am glad to have moved it out of my collection. I’d much rather buy a lip oil. I thought that I wouldn’t like this though and I did. It had a lot of pigment for a gloss and I used this up at work so very appropriate.

Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm = $7.20

I am considering buying this in the full size. I want to use up the rest of my primers first, but when I get down to 1, I really want to buy this. It was very moisturizing and gave my skin a nice glow. I used this mostly on its own and my skin looked flawless with this on. I got a lot of compliments on my skin when wearing this. I need to use up what I have first though. I’ll revisit this next year.

DERMAdoctor DD Cream = $8.76

This was WAY too dark to use on my face, so I used this on my legs when I wore a skirt to work. My legs looked tanned and toned. It was too dark for my face, but not only that, it was too greasy as well. I’m glad that I used it up and it’s gone. I need to do this with the rest of the creams that I bought/received that are way too dark for my face. It also didn’t moisturize my legs very well. I cut it with some body lotion to help with that.

Okay, I am pretty impressed with the monetary value that I used up in July. I have used up 11 out of 20 makeup items with the total being $113.70 out of $200. I am over halfway there now! I really think that I have a chance at completing this project. Next year, instead of project pans and this series, I will be doing a Finish 100 by 2019 and monthly makeup bags. This series is going so well that I want to pull in all of my other categories like hair and skin care for next year. The makeup bags will be fun, too. Every month, I’ll focus on different items to use up.

14 Before Fall: Update #1

I am really excited to share my update with all of you on my Fall project pan. I feel like I got a ton accomplished and will have even more in my August update. I feel like with more variety of things to use up my passion for panning really came out. I was enjoying using everything that I had and I think it helps to add products that you just want to use and have fun with. For me, this project isn’t all about panning. It is about enjoying what you have and that’s what I’ve been doing. In the process, I have used up a few items and got close to finishing a few more. Just a reminder, this project ends on September 22nd.

 

I have 14 products in the picture above and I started out with 16 items. You might think that I only finished up two products, but I believe that I added three more items to the project. How many did I end up using up? Keep reading to find out.

Tony Moly Red Wine Mask Sheet Pore Care

I have used used this sheet mask and serum up, hence the strike through the title. This was a great mask. It was really wet and I had enough serum to put on my face for DAYS afterward. The whole mask never really soaked up into my face and I wore it for about an hour. It took another 30 minutes for the rest of the serum to sink into my skin after I took the mask off. This should definitely be saved for a pamper night.

Roloxin Lift Instant Skin Smoothing Masque

This has two one time use packets that I have yet to use. Next time I want a clay mask, I will use this instead of my tube or jar versions. I just need these out of my collection.

Soo Ae Charcoal Clay Bubble Mask

This mask made my face super ticklish and it really bubbled up. I will be repurchasing this. Do they have different kinds of bubble masks? These are so great! It did its job and was super fun. I let it bubble on my face for 15 minutes then I rubbed it into a paste and let that sit for an additional 15. My face never felt so clean and smooth afterwards. It is worth the price of about 2 dollars. I had enough to do my face and my dad’s, but he wasn’t a fan of the tickle.

Medicell Eye Mask Duo

I have yet to use this one as well. I’m going to use it on a lazy Saturday or Sunday in the morning when I have time to enjoy them with my coffee. I like to wake up in the morning with a coffee and these seem like they would be refreshing and help with puffy morning eyes.

Yes To Grapefruit Vitamin C Glow Boosting Paper Mask

I loved the scent of this mask, but it was very thin. I ripped it a little bit trying to open it up. I loved the tingly feeling as well. I would repurchase this one as well as other ones from this brand. It is a decent mask for the price that actually showed me some results.

MJCARE Snail Essence Mask

I’m still scared of this mask, hence why I wore the other sheet masks first. I think it might take me until the end of the project for me to use this one up. Just because I’m terrified of using it and having it smell or something. It was in the multipack that I bought. I am not adventurous enough to have bought this on its own.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Facial Moisturizer

I love this and I will be repurchasing once I am out of my current creams. I even used this during the day. It soaked right into my skin leaving it hydrated not oily. My skin was less oily while using this product. It is on my repurchase list for sure. I just have to go through a jar and a half and I’ll be onto my way of getting this. It is such a beautiful product, even better than the oil.

Palmer’s Coconut Oil Luminous Hydration Facial Oil

I have used up about a fourth of this a little bit goes a long way. I’m sure it will be gone by the next update though. I’m not crazy about this face oil. It’s not as good as I remember or maybe its just this luminous version. I’ll use it up, but I would not purchase this face oil. I haven’t found a good basic night oil yet.

Model Co Lip Lacquer in Viva

I am almost done with this lip gloss. I removed the stopper and using a q-tip to get the product on the bottom tube. I think I’ll be done with it by the end of next week, so I decided to add in another lip product that I cold wear at work once this one is finished. I ended up really enjoying the color on this one. It is more peachy than pink.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in K-Dub

There is no visible progress in this tube, so I didn’t bother with a new picture. I am really loving the color and am wearing it right now as I type. It is such a fun summer color and I’ll be taking this with me to my trip to Maine tomorrow for sure.

Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Pearl

I’m not sure that you can tell a difference but I did sharpen this pencil twice and it needs a second sharpen for sure before I use it tomorrow. I’m going to throw a few basics in my purse to apply when I get to Maine tomorrow. This is something perfect to throw in there. I love this on my lower lash line as a pop of sparkle.

Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm

I ended up liking this pore filling primer, but I will not be purchasing it. It’s not as good as the benefit one, but it is more hydrating. I’m on the fence about this one. I might purchase it. It was a very good sample and I enjoyed using it.

B&BW White Citrus Eau De Perfume

I’m making decent progress on this perfume, but I need to use it a little more often if I want to use it up in two months. I don’t think I’ll be able to use it up, but I think I’ll only have about half of what I had remaining by the end of the project. It’s great paired with a stronger scented perfume. I might drag this into the fall paired with a woodsy scent to make it more “Fall” appropriate.

Davines Natural Tech Replumping Hair Filler Superactive

I’ve used a decent amount of this and it will be gone by next update. I use this to spray down my fly aways when I am putting my hair in a slick ponytail or bun. So, I probably use this like 5 days a week. With a young son, I have to have my hair back or risk getting my hair pulled out.

Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil SPF 8

I totally forgot about this, so I need to use it up. I’ll throw it in my bag for Maine and see if I can use it all up in one go. I don’t like to tan and buy tanning products. I will use this up. I hope I don’t get sunburned though. I’ll make sure to apply this every hour or so.

Out of my original 16 items, I have used up 5 items. So, I am down to 11 products in the project. I have to use up 9 more products to call this project a success. To increase my chances of “winning”, I am adding three more items to my project.

Jane Iredale Just Kissed Ph Changing Orange Lip Balm

This lip balm will be replacing the lip gloss at my desk at work. A lip balm is less maintenance than a gloss and I want to change it up a little. I used up the pink version in three weeks, so this might be used up by the next update. I’ll have to think about what lip product I want to try next out of my collection that is work appropriate for the summer.

Temptu Highlighter

I am replacing the Josie Maran primer with this highlighter. It is so beautiful and easy to wear. I wear it to work all last week. I can finish this up easy by the next update. I just pour a squeeze on the back of my hand and tap my brush into it and dab one cheek bone and then the other. It blends out like a dream and doesn’t look too much especially since I powder on top of it. It has an iridescent look to it.

So, I am now up to 13 products, but I only need to finish 9 of them. Can I do it by August? Stay tuned to find out. I’m really pumped that I can do it.

Makeup Inventory: Lip Products

Lip products are my weakness from glosses to balms and everything in-between. I tend to gravitate towards nudes, but I do lip an unexpected pop of color and berry tones. I haven’t really counted yet to see what I have. I mean, I took the pictures, but I didn’t actively count them as I was doing so. Let’s start off with the first subcategory.

Overnight Lip Balm: 5

I have 5 overnight lip balms. The Jouer one is almost finished. I’ve been working on it for months now. I like to apply a balm before bed to nourish my lips overnight. I would like to reduce this done to 1 product in this category. I’ve found my dream overnight balm from Aerin. It’s expensive, but so very worth it. A little also goes a long way with it too. I’m also over these EOS balms. They really aren’t that moisturizing.

Lip Balms: 8

Ideally, I want to get rid of EVERYTHING in this category and just not have day balms anymore. I hardly ever reach for chapsticks or lip balms or anything in pot form. I’d much rather put on a gloss or a liquid lipstick. I want some color or shine. Lip balms don’t give enough of either for me. I want to use them all up. I will not purchase a lip balm, but if I get it in a subscription or if a friend buys me one, I will use it. I like it when my friend finds/buys me unique lip balms that I’ve never tried before. I just don’t use these enough to buy them and they aren’t what I’m looking for. I want to replace this category with lip oils. However, if I find a unique chapstick flavor like birthday cake, I will buy it. Those unique flavors are good!

B&BW Lip Glosses: 7

I didn’t realize one was Avon. LOL. I’m into more mature lip glosses now, so I’d like to get rid of this category, too. I really love these glosses, but I’m getting to old for such obvious glitter glosses. I’d rather use my MAC lip glass, which is also pigmented. I want my glosses to have pigment. These really only have high shine, but I still love them. When I use all of these up, I might buy one to keep in my collection. We will see. I’ve been working on the I’ve Been Nice one for a while now. These last forever! Half of the tubes are half to mostly used. It will still take me a while to finish these though.

Lip Glosses: 6

Everything but the MAC is either mostly used or half used up. I don’t think it’ll take me long to have only the MAC in my regular lip glosses category. I would like to add more lip glosses or lip toppers in this category that are high quality. I’m think some really nice iridescent ones from Huda beauty and take a peek at other brands as well. I really want a pretty blue gloss. The MAC one I had my eye on, sold out fast. I need a blue lip color! I think it would look really pretty on me, but a light sky kinda blue. Nothing dark.

Lipstick: 8

I really love most of these lipsticks, but I do want to go through the two lip paints and the brown stick color. I really love nudes, but that bright purple/pink makes me happy wearing it. I can totally pull it off and I love it. I’m going to work on the darker lip paint during the fall and the brown and see if I can use those two up this year.

Well, that is it for the lip collection with a total of 34 products if my counting was correct. I would like to get it done to 25 by January when I do this count again. Hopefully, I can use up 9 lip products by then. I know for sure that 3 will be done soon enough, so I’m really only looking at using up 6 by then. I’m going to concentrate on the ones that are half used up or more to reach my goal.
