November Empties

Hey guys! Another month gone and Christmas and Dean’s birthday are right around the corner. I had quite a few empties this month, so I was very impressed. I have a ton of reviews to write now in my spare time. I’ve been building the furniture I bought on Black Friday this weekend and I’ll be able to show them soon. I just want to buy some super glue to glue back some broken pieces on my nick knacks so they look good in the pictures that I’ll be taking. I’ll be having two VS hauls coming up soon. So, stay tuned!

I finished off quite a few minis, but also some full sizes as well. I’m very proud of what I have been able to accomplish. I am looking forward to seeing what I can finish off before it is time for my January inventory to start off the new year with. I will be busy inventorying my whole collection and making plans for my 2018 year project pan where I want to use up 250 beauty related items next year. There will  be plenty of fun posts in the new year. I’m happy that I’m only doing one project next year. Simplified.

November Makeup Bag

We are half way through November, so I feel like I’m late coming to the party with this. I’m going to do it anyway though. I haven’t been using any of the eye makeup. I got pink eye and then caught a bit of a cold from my son. I’m feeling better, so hopefully I can dabble more into the makeup that I have set aside for the month. Before I get into this month’s picks, I’m going to recap on what happened in October.

I used this blush 5 days a week all month long and I barely scratched the surface of it. I thought for sure that I could pan it or at the very least wear down the imprint. I will bring it back for my December bag, because I really love this blush. It is very pigmented and a little goes a long way. I hit pan on my eye gloss and I found out that it wore better without eye primer. I love how this looked on my eyes. It was a nice and easy eye look that was very pretty. It paired great with bold lips. I used up my Cover FX drops. I didn’t make a noticeable dent on the Nars concealer or the Tarte lip paint. I made a bit of progress on the perfume, but I don’t mind because I love the scent on it.

I have used all of these products a few times. I have dabbled in the Hourglass 2016 Holiday Palette and used the finishing powder and blush a few times. I’m trying to use up the Caitlyn lip gloss, because I don’t like lip glosses that are pigmented in dark colors. It smears around like crazy. I only use this at home. I want to use up some perfume samples and work on my Vampire perfume that I love. I’m kinda getting sick of it though. I’ve used the eye shadow once and then got pink eye. I threw out my Benefit Gimmie Brow, because they have been on the news as having TOXIC ingredients. Could be the reason why I got pink eye. I also got rid of my mascara since I got pink eye and I had used that on my eyes that day. I’ve used the foundation once and liked it. It did flake up my moisturizer though. I’m going to try it with primer this week.

monthly

Above is what my daily makeup cabinet looks like. I have a few of my other daily supplies in there like primer, lip treatments, and a purple corrector. I like that it’s not too busy and I can easily reach in for things without knocking anything over.

What do you have in your makeup bag?

Selena

November Reads

I only finished two books this month, but that’s alright with me. I’m just happy to be reading books and being able to finish one with everything that I have on my plate. I was just nominated for a middle level Round Of Applause Award, which is worth $50 at my place of employment. I’ll be getting my Visa Giftcard in the mail, so there will be some kind of haul. Maybe clothes, but I haven’t decided yet. I also have some other work-related exciting news, but I cannot share it yet until it gets announced at my work. I know some of my coworkers read my blog. Let’s get into the post!

Beneath the Glitter (Sophie and Ava London, #1)Beneath the Glitter by Elle Fowler

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is one of the best written book by a famous person. Almost on par with Hilary Duff. It’s hard to imagine them actually writing this though. It doesn’t list a ghost writer, but there has to be one, even Hilary Duff was transparent about that one. The book was entertaining and I want to read the sequel to see what happens next. The ending gave away the “who done it” aspect though. If it was supposed to be a cliff hanger, it wasn’t. Other aspects of the book makes me want to read the sequel though. In reality, I find the Fowler sisters lacking recently. Elle makes zero videos and I always found Blair too annoying to watch.
Ready or Not (All-American Girl, #2)Ready or Not by Meg Cabot

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this one as much as the first one. For once, the sequel was just as good as the original. I might even have liked this one better, which is saying a lot. It was the perfect amount of humor and teen angst to make things interesting. Throw in a few surprises and you have a really great book in your hands. I don’t think there is another book after this one, but it makes me want to read another Meg Cabot and even a Sarah Dessen book. There is just something about YA that has me coming back for more. I highly recommend this book and the author. It was quite refreshing and a nice break from reading the Shopaholic books.

November Empties

Happy December Everyone!

I have a lot of posts planned for this weekend/week. I have a November Reads, Sephora Haul, and review posts coming up. My test for my class is this Friday, which I’m nervous for. I passed the practice test with an 80%, but I’m still all stressed about it. I CANNOT fail, if I do I owe my work like 500 dollars for taking the course and test. Since I did well on the practice test, I should be good. I’ve also been studying a lot. As long as I get a 75% (a passing grade), I should be good. I also might be moving! I don’t want to jinx anything, so I’ll just start my post now.
