December Empties

Instead of saying another month gone, I’ll say another year gone this time around. I believe the older you are, the faster time seems to go by. Time never went by this fast when I was in high school. It only ever went fast when I was actually enjoying my life. Now, days that drag and days that fly, all seem to go at the same pace. Sounds cliche and maybe it is but it is also the truth. I would never go back in time. I want to always be moving forward, never going back. For the new year empties, I am going to be trying a new style of empty posts. Stay tuned until Feb to see the new empties.

December was a light month for me and January is already looking better. I have been decluttering some makeup products here and there that are just not good anymore. As I go throughout the year, I plan on decluttering anything that I don’t like that I know are recent products to friends and anything else can and will be thrown away. It’s time for a new me that doesn’t keep products around just to have them.

With Love,

Selena

April Empties 2017

I know I’m about two days early for my monthly empties, but I am ready to empty my wicker basket and start collecting for May, my birthday month. I am hoping to go through more beauty products next month, since it is my birthday month. I will probably be wearing more makeup anyway. I also have EXCITING news on my Pan That Pallet progress, at least exciting for me. LOL. This was a lighter month with less empties, but I am happy that I finished off two makeup products. I also have three more on their last legs, so I am hoping to have 5 or more makeup empties in May. I have so many update posts to write, but I love being busy on my blog. I might have a May Reads post this month, because I made a promise to myself to read an hour on Saturday and Sunday. I hope that I can keep that promise. I’ll be back to reading more once I finish my last class for my Associates Degree in Information Technology.

It was a slow month with a few product multiples, but I really enjoyed using what I have up. I currently have a lotion on its last legs and I think I might use another mini lotion after I use this one up. I never realized how much I really had before I did my collection videos. I knew that I had a lot, but it really puts it in perspective. I know how much I can use up and I strive to enjoy using up my stuff everyday. I don’t want to be the girl with 20 lotion backups anymore. I think I can have a few in back-stock once I use up what I have. Naturally, when I go B&BW shopping, I will be shopping the annual sale and the buy 3, get 3 free sale. Naturally, I will have multiples of products, but it won’t bother me. I’m not going to buy more on top of that. It keeps the back-stock reasonable when you just buy once. Once I run out of something, I’ll do another haul when I can, but I’m really loving my mindset right now. Very zen and minimalistic. I really love minimalism. I got my closet down so much that now, I can go out and do a clothing haul to buy pieces I will love and that will last. I don’t want to support consumerism anymore.

Amazon Haul

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I am sorry for skipping my July Favorites, but I didn’t really love anything that month and I was going to upload it. It became too late to do one, so I sincerely apologize to anyone that was looking forward to it. I decided to buy a planner to keep my hectic life organized, but I did not want to break the bank while doing so. Amazon is a great alternative from buying from the actual site. Their return policy is so much better ad they are faster for processing orders. Amazon gave me the shipping estimate as September 1 through the 19th, but after my order was process, they gave me the shipping estimate of August 11th to the 15th. I got the planner on August 13th by FedEx. They also offer free shipping, which you all know that shipping costs are my kryptonite. Am I spelling that right? Anyways, here is everything that I bought for a grand total of 52.19 USD.

Filofax 2015 A5 Organizer, Saffiano Raspberry, 39.94 USD

Filofax a5FilofaxFilofaxFilofaxFilofax

I absolutely love my Filofax! I know it is too early to rave about it, but I really love the look of it and the way the layout is. The leather is so plush like a little pillow. I love that it has pockets to slip little post-its in it or mini note pads and it even has a side pocket to slip a skinny notebook or larger items. The little pockets are supposed to be for credit cards, but I wouldn’t keep my cards with my Filofax. I like my wallet for that, plus it seems weird to keep them in there. I like that it came with a few surprises that wasn’t supposed to be in there like a 2014 spread, including 2015, and a 100 page notebook pad. I won’t go into detail online, but if you’re my friend, odds are that I will be showing you it.

Sharpie Pen Fine Point Pen, 4 Colored Pens, 4 USD

Sharpie PensSharpie PensSharpie Marker

These were a really great buy at 1 USD a pen. The pack also came with a bonus neon orange Sharpie, which is always nice to get stuff for free. I bought these pens, because they do not bleed or smudge. It will be perfect for color coding my planner, these pens that is. The Sharpie would probably bleed through the pages. I always really loved these pens in high school and I am just now coming back to it. It was definitely an oldie but a goodie. I don’t ever really see these in stores anymore.

AllyDrew Colorful Lines Japanese Washi Masking Tape, set of 3, 5.50 USD

Washi TapeWashi TapeWashi Tape

I bought the tape to decorate my planner and to symbolize certain events like vacation, holidays, and date nights. Plus, they are super cute and see through, so you can write over the tape or underneath in it. I like the versatility of using the tape.

So, that is everything that I bought! Have you hauled anything lately?

With Love,
