This is a series that I have been watching for a while now and I am just getting around to reviewing it. I got behind and haven’t watched season 8 yet (still finishing season 7), because college took a lot of my time. However, this is a fantastic series and I highly recommend it if you are into survival, zombies, post apocalyptic worlds, and a splash of grotesque horror. I personally don’t like most horror shows/movies, but this show is really different and interesting. I love the characters and I cry when my favorites or innocent ones die. I am so invested in this show and it really surprised me by how good it is. This season also gets right to the point and we don’t spend half the season wondering what has happened. I hate when shows take forever to tell you that. I give this show and specifically this season, a 5 out of 5. The commercials for this show do not do it justice.
I know it has been awhile, since I did one of these. I finally watched enough tv to make another one. As you know, I haven’t been feeling the greatest, so instead of reading, I have been watched tv shows and movies. I am trying to get back into the swing of reading and I have finished a book that I am trying to write a review on. I think I will write half of the review today and half tomorrow. It probably will not be uploaded until next week though. So, there is a book review in the works coming up. I am also planning to upload two more posts tomorrow: another beauty review and a Caturday post. Now, onto the Entertainment Review!
Lucy
This movie was really interesting and a mind binder. It was a psychological thriller with a lot of action to it. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t say that it was one of the best movies that I have watched. That would be a big lie. I did enjoy it though. It had a unique concept and plot. It was a bit of a letdown to all of the trailers that I watched. I thought that it was going to be better than it was. I got this at the Redbox with a buy one get one free coupon. It was worth the rental. 3 out of 5 stars
Dance Moms: Collection
I hate that Netflix just put up the collection and not the whole series. It jumps all over the place and it isn’t enjoyable. It skips over all off the good “drama” episodes. When I want to watch trashy tv, I want to be able to follow it. They need to put up the whole seasons and put back Keeping Up With The Kardashions. Seriously. I want reality tv back on at Netflix. It would make it even better than it already is, if they bring all of those shows back. Does anyone know why they got rid of it in the first place? 2 out of 5 stars
Not Cool
Omg! One of the stupidest movies that I have watched in a while. I am glad that I waited for this to be available on Netflix, because it was so not worth it. I wanted to poke my eye out at times. It was that bad. I think that if I starred in a movie this bad, I wouldn’t be out there promoting it like Shawn Dawson did. Actually, it’s also his film, so double shame on him. He may be funny, but he has no idea how to make a movie that other people will actually want to watch. 2 out of 5 stars
Once: Upon A Time Season One
I LOVE this series! I love all the great actors and actresses that play in it. I like the plot. It feels unique and fresh, compared to all the supernatural shows that have hit the market. This is supernatural without being gimmicky. They are fairy tail stories come to life like you have never known before. I like the twist with the Beauty and the Beast the best. All of the stories are unique and it has a running plot that connects everything together seamlessly. It is one of the best tv series that I have watched this year. I watch it on Netflix and I highly recommend it. 5 out of 5 stars
Avengers: The Age of Ultron
Finally! A female superhero with better powers than anyone else’s. I really enjoyed this movie, but the graphics were laughable at best. Yes, it was action packed and worth going to the movies to see. I watched this on my birthday. It was a nice movie, but I would not see it again. It wasn’t that great off a movie that you would want to watch twice. Maybe after many years. 3 out of 5 stars
So, there you have it! Those are the shows that I have been watching in May. I don’t even have anything left over from May to put on June’s list, which is a first. I usually have some carry over. Maybe I will have some next week. May ain’t over yet!
Are you guys loving my new titles? I am having fun creating them. I’ve been using song titles or lyrics and it’s been really fun getting into my more creative side. I have watched a few more movies, so I decided to do another Entertainment Monthly post. I’ve been watching more Youtube than actual movies/tv lately. I just discovered a few ones on Netflix though, so I think I can have another entertainment post up before the end of the month. I also finished one of my books for April, so I am planning to put up a review this coming Friday.
The Equalizer
Okay, so I watched this movie because it has Chloe Grace Mortez in it. My dad wanted to see this movie, because it has Denzel Washington in it. We were both equally surprised at how good this movie was. It was very action packed and sucked you into the story. Of course, it had unbelievable parts in it that made me cringe, but it was otherwise very good and worth watching. There is blood and violence, so if you are sensitive to that, I would skip it. This is one of the best action packed movies that I have watched in a while. 4 out of 5 stars
St. Vincent
I thought this was a funny and cute movie. I didn’t think it was the best that it could of be, but it is what it is. It is a crude comedy that also has a very serious side to it, which I was not expecting based on the commercials. I actually cried during this movie. Some parts were so SAD! If you are looking for laughs and a feel good movie, this one would be the one for you. 3 out of 5 stars
The Maze Runner
After the letdown that was The Giver, I was not expecting much from The Maze Runner and I couldn’t have been more wrong. This was simply amazing and so true to the book. I am looking forward to the next movie for more explanation on what is going on. Are they the only kids left on earth or something? I want to know what is going on! I am reading these books before the movie one at a time with each movie, so I don’t spoil the suspense. lol. I know, I’m a weird one.
5 out of 5 stars
Left Behind
I watched this movie for Chad Michael Murray, because I have loved him since A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff in it. He was so good in this movie and everyone one’s acting was great. It was the cheap special effects that made this movie a lot less enjoyable and the fact that there will not be a sequel to it to tie up loose ends. It was a nice movie and I don’t regret watching it. I just wish it had better effects and that there would be a sequel so I can see Chad again. 3 out of 5 stars
The Other Woman
This was just as good as Danielle told me it would be. This was so funny and very woman empowering which you don’t see enough of in Hollywood. I thought that this was sweet and I would watch it again. Kate Upton was great in this. I can really see her becoming an actress. The girl has got talent. Diaz was of course, marvelous in this, but she needs to play more roles than just all the uptight ones. 4 out of 5 stars
I have watched a few more shows and movies to share my thoughts and opinions with all of you. I love writing this series every month. I am not going to make it a consistent thing to write two of these posts per month. It is just how things turned out last month. I keep track of the movies and tv series that I complete and once I reach five, I plan to do this post that up coming weekend. I noticed that I finished five more entertainment related shows on Monday and so today, Sunday morning, I have decided to sit down and write it. I am going to be painting my nails later today. You all can look forward to a rare Manicure Monday, even if it is just a quick 5 minute post. I tend to have Friday, Monday, and Tuesdays for my days off of blogging. I chose those days, because Fridays are for “fun nights”, Mondays I usually work later than usual (If there is overtime, I am usually at work until at least 5 if not, 5:30), and Tuesdays are a day of relaxation. Well, now that I have explained all of that, here is the meat of the post:
Switched @ Birth Season 3
I love Switched @ Birth more in its current season (Season 4) than this one. It seems like they ran out of ideas with this one and it became dragged out and boring. Season 4 is much more exciting and drama filled! Season 3 was just okay and I would continue to watch it even if the series continued to be “just okay”. I am glad that they improved with Season 4 though. It would be tough to see a well-loved series go down the drain. After Angelo “leaves” though, Bay’s baby sister disappears as well. I thought Bay was like so happy to have a baby sister around. Now, she doesn’t even seem to remember that she does have another sister besides Daphne. I watched most of the season on regular cable tv, but I had to watch the last few episodes on Netflix since I lost cable for a bit.

Into The Storm
I really enjoyed this movie a lot! I rented this movie from Redbox and I had been waiting FOREVER to watch it. I knew that it was going to be good because of the great trailer that went with this movie. I was on the edge of my seat the whole entire time. I was so into the movie. I got absorbed into the action and invested into the characters, even the Red Necks. It has been awhile since I have been that into a movie before. I am usually a a tough critic, but this movie took the cake for me. Now, saying all of that, I still did not give it five stars, because some characters/situations made this movie a bit unbelievable for me and that took away some of the enjoyment. Overall, this is a great action movie that I would recommend.
4 out of 5 stars
Sex Tape
I thought that this movie was really funny and a bit crude but not as crude as other comedies that I have watched before. Compared to a bunch of popular comedies, this one is like the least crude out there for adults. I loved seeing Cameron Diaz in comedies instead of her usual romcom, but I have to say that this is a very tame comedy. I can see a lot of people enjoying this movie for a fun night in. I don’t really have much to say about it, besides the fact that I enjoyed it and would recommend it to fans of Diaz.

This Is Where I Leave You
This movie had so much potential! It has a great cast of characters and the plot sounded interesting enough, except nothing actually really happens. If you like movies, where the characters just sit around and talk about their lives with little action (actually doing stuff) than you will like this movie more than I did. I like movies that take me on a journey of self discovery. I don’t really like movies like this. They are just not that enjoyable to me. Now, I won’t say that this is the worst movie. It did keep me mildly entertained, but I was painting my nails when I was watching this movie. It was nice to listen to, but I didn’t FEEL like I had to watch it to know what was going on.

If I Stay
This was a really average movie for me. I really loved the book and I enjoyed the adaptation of the book into a movie. I really feel though that they cast the male lead wrong. I was expecting someone with a cool boy persona maybe some tattoos and riding a motorcycle, who falls in love with the female lead and that makes him soften. He seemed more like a jerk than a cool person. In the book, I adored him, but in the movie, I thought much less of him. Maybe the sequel will redeem his character. I hope that they cast different actors for the sequel though. I don’t think Chloe really “fit” the character right.

Have you watched these shows/movies? Is you opinion different? Let me know in the comments below. Remember, comments show that you care.
Entertainment Weekly is here again. Once a week, I will talk about what show, movies, and books I am obsessing over and basically just have a lot of spoilers to try to start a discussion. I like to talk a lot about my favorite shows and what’s going to happen next and so on. So, be prepared for spoilers and if you haven’t watched these and plan to, I would say stop reading now! If you are like me and are obsessing over these shows, please comment with our ideas and opinions or even if you’re not, explain why. My list is always incomplete, because I watch so many shows, but I am trying to build up my resume as I go along!
TV Shows I’m Obsessing Over:
Pretty Little Liars:
Pretty Little Liars Complete Cast
This show just gets me every time. I cannot believe what happened on this week’s episode! Wren is such a double crosser, but why? What did the girls ever do to him? Every person on the A team has a personal vendetta against the liars. The only thing I can think of is that Wren is in love with Hanna. I felt so bad for Ezra! His son isn’t even his son and the sad part is, the mother knew that to begin with. She took all that money from is mother and probably thought that she could get more from him. When Ezra needed Aria the most, she was out with her knew boy toy. I wonder if she would go back with Ezra now that he is childless? That is the reason why she left him in the first place. She didn’t want to be a mom, plus with A threatening her and all. Now, A is probably CeCe Drake, since Allie ruined her and thought that the other four were in on it as well. The season finale is next week and I am so excited! Are you?
Twisted:
Season 1 Poster
Now that the video is out, will Lacey be publicly with Danny? Or will she turn on him? Probably turn on him, because she still wants to be miss popularity. I cannot believe the ending! It was super funny with that weird girl who remembers everything. LOL. I thought that the girls were overly harsh with Danny considering everything they went through with him and now they are just going to feed him to the dogs. It just doesn’t make much sense, just some added drama, which I find not totally realistic. Jo is still in love with Danny, though. So, maybe there is hope. I hope Danny doesn’t go to jail for the Regina murder. Why did he kill his aunt anyway?
Switched At Birth:
So much drama! YAY! I am glad for all of the drama again. I cannot believe how wild the Bacholorette party got and how Toby’s party went. I feel bad for Toby and Emmett, but now, he has a best man? Are the parents going to ruin Toby’s wedding or will he do that himself? Will Bay find ou that Ty and her father went against her and did nothing to keep him from the war? Will she understand? I have a funny feeling that she will be devastated and very hurt. I cannot believe that Regina backed out at raising the daughter with her “husband”. I guess, babies can get on people’s nerves, plus there is no do-over button like she said. I am looking forward to th season finale. I wonder what will happen to Delphine?
Project Runway:
New Season
I absolutely love the new season of Project Runway. It is all new drama and Tim Gun now has a save in the show. I cannot believe that he is now a cohost! I feel so proud of him that he was able to become not just a mentor, but a core part of the show. I am just happy that he is recognized as such now. I like the new cast and that there is more of a variety of people on it now. I love the new challenges. I don’t think this could ever get boring in my opinion. This is the only reality television show I watch, practically.
Movies I’m Obsessing Over:
Hairspray:
I thought this movie was very hilarious and suggestive at times. I do not think it was a very good, quality movie, but I did enjoy it. There were some parts that left me confused, but those were far and few in between. I only watched it, because I heard so much about it and Zac Efron was in it. Let’s face it. I watch every movie that he stars in, because he’s a great actor and a looker. Hairspray didn’t impress me, but I enjoyed watching it with Danielle.
Sleepover:
When Danielle mentioned this movie, I had to go watch it on Netflix. It was a very cute Teen movie that would be appropriate for young teens to watch. I found it more entertaining than Hairspray, but still, it was too young for me. I can definitely see enjoying this at a younger age though. This is a clean comedy for young teens. It will not disappoint. I loved Sara Paxton in this. I watch every movie she is in. I just love her as an actress!
Books I’m Into:
Fashionably Undead:
This is an audio book that Danielle gave me to enjoy. I have been reading it as I exercise on the Treadmill and I just finished Chapter 3. I really like it so far. It is very interesting and I love the narration. Meg Calbot is one of my favorite authors, so I am happy to be listening to a book I have never heard before by her. I like all the funny accents the narrator puts on in the audio book. This is definitely something different that I recommend.
Web Of Life Shamon Pathways Guidance for Your Life Journey:
I am rereading this book from scratch and having a go at the exercises as well. My computer crashed, deleting the review I had done on this. I promised the author a review by the end of this week, but I have been very busy. I will definitely have a review up by the end of the month. I am a quarter of the way through the book again. You need an open mind to be able to really read this. I do not recommend anyone Catholic or devotedly religious to read this, because you could be offended by the content. The book asks you to connect with a plant’s life force. If this is not your thang, don’t read it. I do really like the abstract concepts in this book, but even I don’t know if I really believe this stuff. This book mentions Wicca, which worried me a bit; however, it mentions nothing of witchcraft. 🙂
What shows are the rest of you loving? Anything I can add to my collection?
With Love,

This is a new segment I like to call Entertainment Weekly! Lol. I am only going to be putting up a few tv shows today, because it’s getting really stormy here and I want to post this before it gets worst!
TV Shows I’m Obsessing Over:
Pretty Little Liars:
Pretty Little Liars Complete Cast
I am really loving this series! I am up to date on season 4 and I cannot believe how intense the show is getting! I wonder who really killed Wilden. For some reason, I think CeCe Drake probably killed him. I feel so bad for Hanna’s mom though. I cannot believe Pastor Ted had that much cash to get Ashley out of jail on bail. Talk about really lovig someone. Then, we have Emily’s drama, which is more true to life than A related. Aria’s problems are normal things as well like jealousy. Spencer wants to be on A’s tail and who could blame her? Toby is all messed up , because of her. Ands I know! We all think A is a girl, but wouldn’t it be surprising if it was Lucas?! Speaking of Lucas, where did he go? I miss him. A lot of people have disappeared from this show and many have been added. My little complete cast poster needs to be updated to reflect the new cast members, plus where are the parents and siblings?! Lol. I guess, it is the complete cast of important characters. At least Ezra is in there. Does anyone else think Ezra’s part is now boring and dragged out? Aria and Ezra were starting to get to be a boring couple. I’m glad they decided to spice up the show again.
Twisted:
Season 1 Poster
I am really enjoying this new show. I thought that I wouldn’t like it r be as invested in it like I am with other shows, but I have to say that the plot is very interested and very twisted. There is a lot of mystery, but I wish there was a little more mystery than who is dating whom but I guess that is what a lot of teenagers like to watch. The show is kind of soapy, but not enough to get me to stop watching it. There is still a good dose of mystery to this show, if it ever disappeared, I would stop watching this. I cannot believe all the twists and turns this show is getting into. I am up to date on the season and was surprised by the corporation having the same design as the necklace. Is this a secret society?!
Switched At Birth:
I am up to date on the season of this show. I cannot believe all that has happened! John is so nice now to Regina. Is the wedding going to be called off between Toby and his girl? I kind of hope that the wedding will not take place, because I want Toby to be signal. He is my man in the show. I cannot believe that Ty would be that mean to Bay! Of course he apologized, but she had to go to the hospital, because of him. I would have been POED with that had been my man. It was nice to see Emmette developing as a character and seeing his mom finally involved with someone. Is it just me or is this show a little blah now that there isn’t a whole lot of drama going on? It seems to be a bit more boring and I tend to get a bit bored watching it. I want it to be exciting again!
The Fosters:
End of Season 1 poster
I really liked Season 1 of The Fosters. I thought that it is a unique show and I have never seen anything like it before. I really like the concept of a family fostering children and really ironically, their last name is Foster. This show is filled with drama and it is the really sweet kind as well. There are intense moments, but I feel it is a good family show to watch. I cannot wait untilo next January to watch season 2, hopefully this show will not get cancelled like a lot of shows on ABC Family.
What shows are the rest of you loving? Anything I can add to my collection? I have more shows that I watch other than this, but that storm is brewing stronger!
With Love,
