Consignment Shopping!

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I went shopping for maternity clothes last week and found a few great pieces to add to my wardrobe. Some of the clothes will still work after pregnancy as well, so that’s a plus. The first store I went to was the Salvation Army and it wasn’t what I was expecting. It was HUGE and had such a large variety of everything. I was simply amazed and the prices couldn’t be beat either. It smelled dirty and like cigarettes though. I felt bad for the homeless people hanging out in there. I will be going back next week for more clothes for my dad. He got two pairs of jeans and one was from J Crew. It was 138 USD full price and he got it for 5 dollars. You cannot beat it, when you have a hard time affording quality clothes. I wish I would have gone sooner. The polka dot top comes with a built in tang top. I bought all of the items for 29 dollars, including my dad’s two pairs of jeans.

The last store I went to was called The Victorian Rose. It is a vintage consignment shop and the old ladies who run the place were very helpful. I got a lot of great finds for a great affordable price. The prices were just as low as the Salvation Army, which I wasn’t expecting, especially since I found two designer finds. I got a lighter wash version of the really dark jeans that I bought at the Salvation Army, but they are in the wash so no picture on that pair. Instead of the black tummy piece it has a tan tummy piece with the light jean wash. The pastel banana yellow blazer is by Anne Klein and the dress is a BCBG dress by Max Azria. The black top from Tokyo comes with a built in camisole. I bought everything for 17 USD.

I absolutely love everything that I got and will now be comfortable in my pants. I can make so many outfits with all of these clothes, while being in comfort. Some of my own clothes still work, so the possibilities are endless. Do you shop consignment?

With Love,

Selena
