June Empties

Another month gone and another month of empties. June was a light month for me and I didn’t really use up that many products. I did use up a few products that I haven’t reviewed before so as usual there will be a lot of product reviews this month. I’m going to try to have a post up everyday in July. Hopefully, I can keep this up the whole entire month. I plan on heading out to swim after I write this, so I’m glad it was a short month!

Baby Vitamins *Day 22*

For Enfamil Liquid Vitamins A, C, & D Supplement TrViSol

Vitamins

What It Is:

A multivitamin for breastfed infants.

Key Ingredients:

Glycerin, water, Vitamin A, D3, ascorbic acid

How It Smells/Looks/Tastes:

It is a brown colored liquid that smells like Twizzlers and tastes like red licorice rope from when I was a kid.

Why Dean Didn’t Like It:

He hated the taste of this liquid multivitamin. He is now on a different brand and doesn’t have a problem taking it. If your child doesn’t like this vitamin, try a different brand. I didn’t think that it would make a difference and it does. Nothing against this brand, though. My child just doesn’t like it.

July Empties *Day 19*

Another month has gone and with it many products that I have loved, hated, or just felt “meh” about. My goal was 15 empties and I think I may have achieved that goal, but I am not 100% certain. I am going to keep the goal of 15 more empty products for August. I think that is a realistic goal to give myself and I seem to be flying through products more since I told myself that if I really love it, I can rebuy it at my next paycheck. I haven’t loved anything enough to repurchase yet. I am almost done with a drugstore setting powder though and I will be needing to pick up a powder this week. Well, let’s start counting! Oh! BTW, this post features pictures of Dean’s arms and legs. He wanted to eat the yellow bag!

Well, I got pretty darn close in completing my goal of 15 empties for the month. I still consider it a win, since the past few months have been pitiful with the amount of empties. Maybe, I will reach my goal in August. I’m proud of myself though. I’m using up and letting go of so much stuff that took up space. I even had room to put more products in my bathroom. It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to do that. It great to try new things from my stash.

Mommy Vitamins *Day 15*

For Spring Valley Prenatal Multivitamin Adult Gummy

vitamins

What It Is:

A multivitamin in gummy form for pregnant and nursing women.

Key Ingredients:

Contains everything you need except Iron & Calcium.

How It Smells/Tastes/Looks:

They look like sugar coated fruit shaped gummies in the colors green, yellow, orange, and red. They smell a little fishy, but tastes exactly like gummy bears. I really enjoyed these gummies and have already repurchased them several times.

Why I Like It:

I really enjoyed the taste of these, so I remember to eat them everyday. I wished that they contained iron and calcium, because otherwise, I would have not have developed anemia. Now, I buy both of these supplements separately. I buy calcium chews and iron pills. Hopefully, they will work on my anemia, which is borderline harmful (It worked btw).

Walmart Haul

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I recently went to Walmart for a few things and ended up collecting a little haul for you. I plan on hitting up Kmart later this week, so there might be a mini Kmart Haul as well. I have 5 USD in shopyourway points, a 2 USD off a 20 USD purchase coupon, and a 2 USD off of a Sally Hansen product. So, I am going to combine these offers to get 9 USD off. You can look forward to that post soon. For right now, I have a Walmart haul to show all of you!

Cappuccino mix

Great Value Cappuccino French Vanilla Mix: I was so surprised to see a big can like this for 2.98 USD. I had to buy it and I have already tried it. It is very good and such a great deal! Nowadays, I like lightened versions of coffee and this is already mixed. It is very convenient and this will last the month of both my dad and I using it. I love mixes like these to make at home for my chronic headaches. Caffeine is the only thing that works and its more natural than medicine, which I’m not really supposed to take anyway. Before I have people attack me for drinking coffee, I am allowed 16 oz of coffee a day and as many decafs as I want. I have a cup in the morning and possibly one more at night, if my headaches come. I don’t always have a cup in the morning either. There are plenty of days that I have no coffee like yesterday.

Lipton Green Tea

Lipton Green Tea in Honey Lemon (Decaf): 20 tea bags were 2.19 USD, which was a good deal as well, since other herbal teas were 2.50 and up. I have tried the Lipton Green Tea in a sample pack before and I really liked them. I am getting really sick of mint teas, so I thought that this would be a nice change of pace. I am taking this to work with me to have tea there and cut down on decaf coffee. I usually drink 16 oz of water at work, 8 oz of whole milk, 8 oz of coffee, 8 oz of decaf, and usually 16 oz of more water in the afternoon. This way, I can cut out the decaf and possibly the caf if I’m not suffering from headaches. Honey lemon sounds like it will be sweet, so no sugar or milk needed!

vitamins

Spring Valley Prenatal Adult Gummy: A bottle of this is 7.98 USD, which is expensive but I have to have it. I can also only remember to eat it, because they are gummies. They taste like candy and it reminds me to eat them. I really like these, but I haven’t tried other gummy brands. I prefer them over pill versions. I wonder if I can find gummy ones for iron supplements? I will check that out after pregnancy. I don’t have that problem anymore, since Aunt Flo hasn’t visited in four months.

shampoo

Pantene Pro-V Deep Cleanse Purifying Shampoo: I bought this clarifying shampoo for 3.98 USD, which I thought was worth a shot for the price. I am having a pregnancy issue, where not all of my hair’s natural oils get cleansed with shampoo. I’m hoping that this will strip all the oils off of my hair. My hair is dirty/oily after I freshly wash it. That is not normal. I’m producing so much oil from my scalp and pores. My face is a greasy mess by 2. I use paper towels, because I was wasting too many oil absorbing sheets a day. I do a weekly deep conditioning treatment, so I think that this will pair nicely with it.

face wipes

Equate Sensitive Cleansing Facial Wipes: This packet of 40 wipes were for 3.98, so another steal in my opinion. I have never tried them before, so they could be a loss as well. I plan on using these at work on the days that I don’t wear bb cream. Let’s face it, it’s not very often. I will bring my moisturizer with me, if I decide to cleanse my face to get rid of the oil buildup. I use wipes for a quick cleanse. I don’t usually use them as a replacement for washing my face, unless it’s really late at night and I’m lazy.

razor refills

Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care 5 Curve Sensing Blades Replacement Heads (4 ct): This is by far the most expensive thing that I bought, but these work wonders on my legs. It is honestly the best blades that I have ever used and so much better than the disposable version. It was 16. 98, but I had a 4 USD off coupon. It was only 12.98 USD for me.  Still, that is like 3.25 USD a piece. My legs needed them though and I can no longer use my trusted and well loved Veet. Each head will last me about two months of use, since I only shave me legs once a week. They get extremely irritated otherwise and it’s not a pretty sight.

movie

The Big Wedding: This was in the 3.97 USD bucket at Walmart. I have never seen this movie, but I love the cast  of characters in it. I’m hoping that it will be a worthwhile romantic comedy, which is one of my favorite genres. I’ll let you know how it is in an Entertainment Monthly.

dog harness

Lastly, I bought two harnesses for the dogs, but I will be bringing the large one back. It turns out that Mooky fits into the medium perfectly and Serena needs a small instead. If Walmart’s small does not fit, I will have no choice but to go to PetCo as they have more variety in sizes and styles. Mooky’s harness was 5 USD. The bigger one was 11.98, but I am returning it and getting a small, which will probably be 5 as well. I wanted my girls to match!

Empties: The February Edit

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

It’s that time again! I only finished up 6 things this month and I was expecting to be finishing so much more. Well, maybe this means that March will be heavy month? Hopefully so. I don’t feel like a proper guru finishing so little product. I haven’t added to my goo collection, so at least I am not adding to it for the time being. So, here are all of the items that I have finished in February and I promise to finish up double the amount in March. That is a vow to myself and to you. I need to do this and not be so attached to “stuff”. I get a bit of anxiety when I am close to finishing a product, because I do not want it to be empty. It’s a problem that I am working on. Baby steps. Does anyone else have this kind of anxiety?

Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Hairspray, 1.5 oz

Hairspray

I really enjoyed this hairspray. For the full review, click HERE.

Mitchell And Peach Luxury Hand Cream, 1.1 fl oz

Hand cream

I did like the texture of this hand cream, but the scent was just too much for me. I’m afraid for the price that these go for, I cannot take the risk of buying it, then hating the way it smelled. It would be a major buying regret.

Walgreens Wal-itin, 30 ct tablets

[Will have to retake this photo. Along with my Feb birchbox, because I took pictures without my sd card in it! Oh, well!]

Serena

I use these for my allergies. They work as well as the big name brands, but at the fraction of the price.

ECRU New York Acacia Protein BB Cream Beauty Calm For Hair, 1 fl oz

Beauty Balm

This was an okay product. Read my full review will be on this site on Wednesday!

Secret Outlast Clear Gel Unscented Antiperspirant/Deodorant, 2.7 oz

deoderent

It was alright for a deodorant. My review for this product will be in two weeks on next Review Wednesday.

Airborne Everyday Immune Support Plus Multivitamin in Berry Chewable Tablets, 2 ct

[Again, no pictures for this one, but I will retake it for the review to come.]

It tasted alright at least. It was a bit strong and bitter though.

Have you tried any of these? Sorry about the pictures, but it wouldn’t be an empties without some “empty” pictures. It always happen where pictures just disappear off of my computer and sd chip. It’s weird.

Kitty Vitamins

Heya Aspiring Gurus,

I am sorry for the three-day long absence. I went to a friend’s house, been working, and took the dogs on a very much deserved long trip to the dog park, since there are none in the area of where I live. I had to go out-of-state for over thirty miles! They well deserved it though. Today, my package arrived earlier than expected with some goodies! Tomorrow, another should be arriving. In the middle of picture-taking, my camera stopped working. Hopefully, it will be working tomorrow! Here is a review!

Petgold Vita Tabs For Cats
? US Dollars
30 Tablets

4 out of 5 stars

1. Usage: This is a one month supply bottle, but it lasted me around three months, because I don’t give vitamins to Shadow on a daily basis. I think she gets adequate nutrition from both wet and dry food, so I give her a vitamin on the days that she only eats dry food. 5 out of 5 stars

2. Packaging: The bottle is simple for a cat vitamin. I like that there is a cat picture on it, so that I do not confuse them with the doggy ones that are not labeled with pictures on them. I wish it came in an opaque bottle to help keep the vitamins from being exposed to light. 2 out of 5 stars

3. Scent: The tablets smell awful, but Shadow ate these up like treats. She enjoyed them and I got the piece of mind knowing that she ate them instead of the dog. 4 out of 5 stars

4. Performance: I assume the cat benefitted from the vitamins the same way people do. The only notable difference I witnessed was a shinier, softer coat and less shedding than the days she went without the vitamins and wet food. 5 out of 5 stars

5. Ingredients: This is chuckful of good for you vitamins with protein and a bit of fat to make it palatable for a cat. I don’t see anything bad in it. 5 out of 5 stars

6. Results: Shadow did not get sick from these vitamins, which is a huge plus. 5 out of 5 stars

Overall, I give this product 4.3 out of 5 stars. The one thing that would have made this  perfect 5 would have been the packaging and a less smelly product. Have you tried any vitamins for your pets? Leave me comment and request!

Hannahxoxo
