Heya Aspiring Gurus!
Tuesday at work was very hectic, trying to learn everything that I could, while I was shadowing my trainer. Let’s call her N. N showed me the ropes, but there was so much to learn and to be quite honest, for part of the time I was thinking about the sandwhich that I was going to eat on break. It is definitely not easy being a cashier, but at the same time, it isn’t the most difficult thing either. I think all registers are different and it takes time to learn everything. Most of the time, I was just bagging groceries for N. I wasn’t really learning anything. I learn more hands on than being instructed on how to do something. Let’s face it. It’s easy to learn when you actually do something. I can listen all about it, but I won’t know what to do, until I actually do it. On another note, N got into a fight with the Cashier Leader, it’s the people who can override the registers, answer the phones, and are always listening to the walkies. Let’s call the cashier leader C. N and C got into a little disagreement, when C told a customer that she was wrong and that those shoes were in fact not on sale. The customer stalked out and N thought that C was unprofessional, keep in mind that C is pregnant. C was given a day off of work to cool down emotionally and when she came back to work, it was like nothing had ever happened. I will try to do these posts after I work the day to keep the events fresh in my mind. I am catching up today on all the ones that I owe and tomorrow will start a new week that I will try to do them after I worked. I am working 6 days this week and almost 26 hours. Until my next post!
With Love,
