For Rimmel London Volume Accelerator Mascara in 003 Extreme Black*
What it is: A mascara in extreme black that volumizes and helps to grow your own lashes.
Key Ingredients: Procapil- the growth serum.
How it feels/smells/looks: The formula is very black and very wet. It is easy to get clumpy lashes and it just gets all over the eye area. The formula also takes a long time to dry, so sometimes the lashes stick together.
Why I like it: This was sent to me for free by the company, which was the only good thing I liked about the mascara. I didn’t like the wand, because it was hard to get the inner corners and it ended up a clumpy mess. This stuff takes forever to dry, then flakes like crazy. It was a pain to work with and involved a lot of checking to make sure that my under-eye area wasn’t all black flakes. I would buy a Rimmel product again, but I think that I will pass on their mascaras. Has anyone else tried this? What were your thoughts on it?

I don’t think I’ve tried this one. There was one by Rimmel called Lash accelerator? I think I thought that one was OK considering its not too expensive. It did not wow me, I would not purchase it, but I think I got some good use out of it. It was in some beauty box a long, long time ago. When mascara has fallout, that is so disappointing! Or if its horribly clumpy. Those are my mascara pet peeves lol. I almost wrote here about a mascara that just gave me raccoon eyes an hour after applying it but then decided it was really so terrible that I didn’t want to think much more about it. into the trash! lol

lol, now maybe I will do the post about the unfortunate mascara. it was one by Amazing Cosmetics. Its true I had it for a while so it wasn’t perfectly fresh but still. It was unopened in the package and other similar stuff has been ok when I go use it after some time has passed. Mascara is such a hit or miss thing. Even expensive ones can be awful (from samples I got). Conversely, some cheaper ones I’ve tried have been completely fine.
I love my sample from Tarte and Urban Decay. lol

I know my sister has a scandal eyes one from Rimmel and likes wet n wild better. She was unimpressed.
It was a disappointing product for sure.
I’ve only ever tried their nail polishes, which seem okay. And one lip gloss.
I like their face products.
I tried a bb cream from them once and it really irritated my skin.
Not good. Maybe it was just the one? I have a really great full coverage foundation from them that I loved but they then discontinued it.
Well that’s a bummer 😦 it seems only the really good products get discontinued. Like 3D Doritos.

Thank you. I’m not gonna rave if it wasn’t good for me. I want to share the products that I love…and tell you the ones to avoid. Plus, I learned that it can change my eye color to brown. I’m not gonna risk that! I love my grey eyes.:)
