I promised that I would share my perfume collection with all of you, so here it goes. Also, I decided to get more creative with my titles. Do you like it? A lot of you seem to when I got 99 views in one hour on yesterday’s post. Thank you guys so much! This means the world to me. Anyways, this my collection. I have about 20 decent sized perfumes and a few small  vials. I have other samples in vials, but they are really tiny single use ones. Also, my giveaway is still going for 13 Little Blue Envelopes. • Britney Spears Curious: Remember when these were so popular? I still love mine. Curious is surprisingly strong and musky with undertones of something sweetly floral. A most curious scent!
• DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom: This is tinted pink and is sweetly floral with a light crispness and a little applesque. It is perfect for spring. And come on! I love the apple shaped design!
• Britney Spears In Control: I think this was her first perfume ever. Dani doesn’t even remember it and she loves and owns practically all f them, except for this one. It was my first perfume ever back when I think I was 11 or 12. It was a really long time ago, but it still smells exactly how I remember. Perfume doesn’t really go bad I think at least, not mine. The perfume is sweet and cotton candy like, but instead of being childish, the light musk elevates it to elegance. This bottle is also HUGE. It is still two thirds full. I use it for special occasions only. I love it so much and it is no longer made.
• Hilary Duff With Love: I love the diamond bottle and I’m sad to be halfway finished with this one. It is sweetly musky, but also very warm. It is like a cozy cashmere sweater on a cold day. Something about just makes you feel like its a cozy candlelight dinner night. A warm and fuzzy feeling. I’m not really good at describing scents, but this is how they make me feel.
• Gwen Stefanie HaraJuku Lovers in Love: The bottle is childish, but I think that’s the fantasy of it. The scent is sweet and sour from the musk in it. It has a slight floral that is masked almost completely by the sour musk. It’s a scent that would give you a headache if you smell it too much. I don’t really care for it, but sometimes, I find myself grabbing for it if I want something different.
• Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture: I don’t want to say how expensive this little bottle was. *shudder* It is yellow tinged and still brand new. I bought it before the move and just found it. It is very strong and expensive smelling. It is very musky with a sweet floral accent. It is very alcoholy smelling in the bottle, but dries to a powdery musk that is just divine!

Body Sprays:

From Left to Right:

• Victoria’s Secret PINK With A Splash in Fresh & Clean: I bought this at Bath & Body Works at a 2 for 1 sale. This smells exactly like the name of the scent. It smells like fresh, clean sheets. It kinda has that fresh laundry sort of scent. I use body sprays to layer my perfumes on and this one is a great base for the powdery scents.
• Victoria’s Secret PINK With A Splash in Sweet & Flirty: The scent is sweet and floral which goes great with most of my scents. I tend to gravitate towards sweeter scents and most of those has a bit of floral in them, which I do not mind. I guess, I am just a sweet kind of girl.
• Bath & Body Works Sweet Pea: I used to be really into this scent. It is cotton candy sweet with a dash of floral freshness. This pairs great with my really sweet cotton candy like scents. On a low key day, I wear this on its own.
• Bath & Body Works Sea Spray: Since this is moisturizing, I  use it in the summer after a shower instead of body lotion unless I am really dry or going to be doing a fake tan soon. It smells like a day at the ocean and I tend to use musky scents with it. I then layer a sunscreen on top of it if I am going out and they pair beautifully together.
• Mary Kate & Ashley Tropical Burst  in Vanilla Sugar: This is sugary sweet, but it is also a bit citrusy as well. It saves it from being overly sweet and sickening.

Childish Perfumes:

From Left to Right:

• Mary Kate & Ashley Two: this is the yellow tinged perfume. The first one, I think was pink. This perfume is fresh, sweet, and girly. It is also a bit peppery, but I still love this perfume It is a unique scent that I haven’t come across yet and reminds me of good times in my childhood. I used to spray my Barbie’s hair with this perfume.
• High School Musical: It used to be a lighter purple, but now it is a much darker purple. It smells sweet like vanilla ice cream. There really is no other notes in this, but I love it for its simplicity. Who doesn’t ant to smell like ice cream?
• Prince Matchabelli Cotton Candy: Need I say more? This is super sweet and doesn’t last very long. I’m almost done with this though. This is the one childhood fragrance that I am happy to part with once its gone.
• Lavender Perfume: This came in a perfume making set. It is strongly lavender and nothing else. I like a little bit of lavender now and then added to another perfume for dimension.
• Precious: A little sweet but mostly powdery musk. It is a nice light daytime, almost not there scent.
• Rockin’ Rio: It smells like John Freida Go Blonder Shampoo and I tend to wear this any time I use that shampoo to lasten the scent of freshly shampooed hair.

Little Vials:

From Top to Bottom:

• Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy: This scent is spicy, sweet, white musk, woodsy, fresh, and a little fruity. I would wear this on a date night for sure. It has that kind of scent to it.
• Britney Spears Fantasy: This scent is strongly musky, warm, almost mentholy, warm vanilla for that hint of sweetness, and a bitterness of lime.
• Pop Sugar Pink Sugar: This smells like spun sugar and light musk. It isn’t cotton candy sweet, but it is lightly sweet like an adult cotton candy.

Affordable Perfumes:

From Left to Right:

• Bath & Body Works White Citrus: I don’t know why it’s called White, but it is strongly citrus. It smells like freshly juiced lemons and limes. It is one of my favorite scents ever.
• Bath & Body Works Twilight Woods: This is another one of my favorites. It is perfectly woodsy like fresh snow and the crunching of fallen leaves. It has the earthy scent with the warmness of a fireplace. It is sweet and just perfection. It reminds me of In Control in a way.
• Bath & Body Works Amber Blush: This scent is sour and coconuty. It smells like yummy to be honest. It has a hint of a sun tan oil type of scent.
• Curve Crush: This is powdery and sweet like a white powdered donut. It is simply delicious. I like the occasional food scented perfumes.
• Lady Gaga Fame: This black perfume is very sophisticated. It has a sweet musk and fruity. Of course, it has that other ingredient too. lol
• Vampire: This one is super spicy and rich. It definitely has a sweetness to balance out the spicy and heavy musk. It is totally different from anything else that I own. I wear this a lot during the winter and the name is amazing too.

I hope you enjoyed me Perfume Collection and my interpretation of how they smell. This also could be the longest post I have ever written before. Yay for weekends for making this possible! Also, a life update: I could be getting a weekend job to have extra cash since having a new car is expensive. I’m gonna see if I can get a job again at Kmart strictly as a floor personal in the clothing department. Does anyone else hold two jobs?

I’ve Been Naughty

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I’ve been a little naughty today on my day off of work. First, I went and bought my Monster Jam tickets online today for June for Father’s Day. He’s so excited to be going again and I have to say that I am too. It’s growing on me. What can I say? So, I will be having pictures of the event coming soon and I’ll make sure to get a couple of pictures for myself as well. I then have Birchbox points burning a whole in my pocket, so I had to spend them. I paid 10.79 USD out of pocket for 62.99 USD worth of stuff! I had 30 USD in Birchbox points, a coupon for 20% [takeoff20] that took off 9.60 USD, free shipping worth 5 USD, and a free sample gift package with purchase of 35 USD or more worth 10 USD. I had so many great deals. I won’t tell you what I bough though. It will be an upcoming haul post. I will tell you three of the brands though: Stila, Paula’s Choice, and Yes To. These are all brands that I have tried before and loved. I’ve never tried what I bought though, so fingers crossed! I will be back tomorrow with my Perfume Collection post. Have a Good Friday for those celebrating like me and have a Happy Friday for everyone else.

Update Thursday

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

Well, I signed the papers to buy a new car yesterday. Pictures to come soon! I get to drive my baby home on Wednesday at the latest. I bought insurance for my car today and I am getting my permit tomorrow. I have Good Friday off and I’m going to be celebrating Easter with my boyfriend and dad. It will be fun. I’m making a roast! I’m looking at all of the recipes on Pinterest to see what I want to do. I’m sorry for not posting yesterday. I didn’t get home from the dealer until 8pm and I was too tired to take a shower never mind blog. I bought McD’s to be lazy and it was yummy.

I am still on my beauty ban, except for necessities and my monthly Birchbox. I went through a lot of stuff in March and I am hoping to go through just as much stuff in April. I have a big stockpile of reviews, so I might be uploading a few more reviews on Update Thursdays if I have nothing really to report that I could just tag along to the end of a review. Let me know what you guys hope to see next on my blog. I might replace Update Thursday temporarily with my Beauty Stash Series. We will see.

Belated TFV: Maxwell House

For Maxwell House International Cafe Suisse Mocha

PS: I used this nail polish again. Nail Selfie!

What it is: A naturally and artificially flavored cafe style beverage mix that is decaffeinated, sugar free, and low in calories.

Key Ingredients: Nondairy creamer, decaffeinated instant coffee, cocoa, nonfat milk, aspartame, and salt.

How it smells/looks/tastes: This smells like hot chocolate mix that Swiss makes. It tastes like an adult version of hot chocolate, too. The powder even has chocolate shavings in it.

Why I like it: I did not particularly like this mix and I would not buy this kind again. I do not like that it contains aspartame and the product tastes like watered down hot chocolate. I expected it to taste rich and flavorful, but it did not. I have had other flavors that I have loved, but this fell short. I mix two rounded spoonfuls of the powder with 8 ounces of boiled water and putting more spoonfuls did not help with the flavor at all. I would say pass on this flavor and to choose a different one like hazelnut. I have been enjoying that one. They are 2.99 USD a container, but I use it as a treat and it lasts me a month or two.

Christmas Eve Bubble Bath

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I am just writing a quick post tonight. I just came home from grocery shopping and arguing with the dealership. It seems like the deal might be back on. Tomorrow, I will know for sure. I hate when salesmen play games and twist the truth. It’s a good thing there are still some honest people in the world. Anyways, I am trying Lush’s Christmas Eve Bubble Bar in my tub right now. I used about a third of it and look at the results!

I used mostly the blue part, but it didn’t turn the water any color at all. The bubbles are so thick and luxurious. I cannot wait to hop in there, so I’m gonna let you guys go now and enjoy your Tuesday. Oh! And I am starting a new series on my blog. I will be showing you guys me Beauty Stash under various categories like hair products, blushes, lippies, and the like. It will be a big project. After I show you guys everything, I am going to be making a monthly beauty bag, where I can only use what’s in that bag for that month. It will be one of everything beauty related. This way, I might just get a chance at using some of my crap up.

Nature Box: Sampler

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

My Sampler Nature Box finally came in today! I only had to pay 2 USD for shipping and I have to say, looking at all of these snacks, it seems to have been worth it. I am trying to eat healthier and be healthier. To everyone who doesn’t know, I used to be a binger, not anorexic Danielle. I used to binge on junk food in high school and either throw up or exercise for hours. It is how I remained so fit, when I was actually really unhealthy. I had to go to treatment and everything. I was a really private person and I’ve kept this secret for a long time. Danielle, it was also the reason that I never called you that summer. I wasn’t really mad at you. I was more mad at myself for being “weak”. It was how I saw myself. I am hoping that I like nature box, because it would be healthy and nutritious snacks that wouldn’t encourage me to go back to that dark place. Starting this month, I am not buying any junk food: no chips, no candy, no ice cream, no soda. This is something personal that I need to do for myself. I have high blood sugar, so laying off of the junk will be better for me anyways. Now, that I have gone way off topic, let’s see what I got in the box.

Walmart Lifestyle Haul

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I just went shopping this morning and I thought that I would share what I bought. This is real life for ya and all of these things were necessities. They are boring items, but every house has them. Learn how they earned my heart and entered into my home. In May, I will be starting a new Life Hack Series based on requests from all of you. I will be showing embarrassing Before pictures and take you on my organizing journey through haul and DIYs. The After photos will also be shared once a room is completed. When a room is completed, I will write an over-review post on the journey. I need to organize desperately, so turning this into a series will be fun. If you guys really love it, I will bring it back when I buy/move into a house. (This will be YEARS from now. Like 2 to 3 years away.) I will be starting with the Bathroom first. Based on room size and monthly expensive, I estimate that I will finish the bathroom in 3 months or less. So, it will be a long series. I will only have about 100 to 200 USD available for buying stuff to organize with. If you guys have ideas, share them! I will be sharing a color scheme and dream bathroom pictures with you guys later this month.

Now, onto the haul!

The Game of Life:

This game is so much fun to play! My dad beat me at it today, but he was a lawyer and I was a fashion designer. He made more money than I did! Tomorrow, I will beat him at it. Have you played this game? Next month, I will buy Monopoly and conquer! Games are fun and exciting, plus it is something different than always playing video games by myself.

Beneful Wet Dog Food Variety 12 Pack:

The dogs love Beneful and it is actually made with real food. I feel good splitting the can for supper as a special treat. I love knowing that it is the perfect size for Serena to have two meals. I give a wet food supper about once a week. They do not get it very often, because Serena has a lot of plaque. The dry food helps to scrap it away and too much wet food isn’t good for their teeth. It is a healthy meal for your dog over the other brown sludge options which are around the same price range. You don’t have to break the bank to give your dog good nutrition.

Angel Soft Toilet Paper:

Yep, this is the brand that my bum prefers. It is really soft and strong. It is also friendly on my budget. Every time I try something else, I always come back to this. Nothing else compares.

Glad Press’n Seal:

Nothing beats this food wrapper. It seals out air and keeps contents air tight. There are no spills and it is really easy to use. Other cheap wrappers are hard to use and I end up ruining it. This wrap is thicker and easier to wrap things in. You’ll know what I mean if you try it. It is a bit pricey, but honestly, it’s the only wrapper I can use successfully.

Swiffer Wet Jet Refill Liquid & Refill Pads:

I love my Wet Jet mop for cleaning my Kitchen and Bathroom. It is the best mop that is also pet friendly. It is easy for me to use, since I actually like cleaning the floors with this mop. I clean the floors once a week, more if it rains/sleets/snows. It is a bit pricey for the mop but worth the investment. The pads last me 12 weeks and the liquid lasts for about the same amount of time, depending on the amount of dirt and grime. That is 3 months of use for 12 USD. My kitchen and bathroom are also small too. I do live in an apartment.

Great Value Aluminum Foil:

Aluminum foil is a great versatile product. I use it with my pizza making mostly. I have used it in my hair for my dye jobs. The list could go on.

Great Value Fold Top Sandwich Bags

These were a buck and my dad and I use them as cheap poop bags for the doggies. Poop bags are expensive. I do not know why. It is so much cheaper to just use these. I put a few in my poop bag dispenser and I am good to go…er, they are good to go.

Duck Tape Original

It’s always good to have Duck Tape, at least that’s what my dad says!

Marketside Extra Large Supreme Pizza

This pizza is so yummy! Every time I go to Walmart, I always grab a box.

Scott Pro Heavy Duty Cleansing Wipes

These were on clearance for 1.50 USD. I bought these for my Dad, since he gets greasy from working on the car or checking the fluid levels. These wet ones he can keep in the car, specifically designed for car grease.

Equate Hand Soap

People are getting sick at work, so antibacterial hand soap is a must for me right now. This one doesn’t say what scent it is in, but I have tried similar products from this brand before and I know that I will like it.

Epsom Salt

Walmart is having a sale on this salt, 8lbs for 5.50 USD. This is a great price and there are multiple uses for Epsom Salts. My dad uses them to relieve his itchy skin and I use them to help my muscles relax after an exhausting workout or when I get sore from working out. These are unscented, so they are perfect to combine with scents or nothing at all for sensitive skin.

Strawberries

They were on sale, so I bought a package and ate half for breakfast. I love fruit.

Goody Clear Elastics

I’ve been looking forever for clear elastics and I have finally found them! I need them for a lot of hairstyles and now, I only need new bobby pins to go with them. They have small, medium, and large. I got the variety pack to try out and they would be good for different things like the ends of braids, ponies, and buns.

Yep, I am trying another BB cream. Hopefully, I like this better than the other one that I bought which I am almost out of. I have only swatched it and it seems to be the right color. I like the pointy tip and the color was swatched in the middle. You can tell that it is a bit more tan, but it just gives a natural sunkissed effect.

I also repurchased the Cetaphil Moisturizer since I was out of it. Well, that is it for today! I hope you have a nice Easter! Mine isn’t until next week.

Birchbox Man: April

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

This is potentially my dad’s last Birchbox for a while. He has a nice stash of hair products and he wants to take a month or two (or three) off to go through everything that he has. I tried to cancel and Birchbox told me that I would lose my points. I emailed them asking if I was really going to lose 28 USD worth of points.  I am keeping my subscriptions, so I don’t see why. We will see what they have to say. I recently subscribed to Nature Box, because I was curious about the snack company. I should be receiving my first box next week. So, here is my makeup post for Friday.

English Laundry Cambridge Knight Eau de Parfum, ? fl oz for 1 USD?

My dad liked this scent, but wouldn’t buy it for the price. I totally agree with him. It smells nice, but really nothing special.

PARLOR by Jeff Chastain Reworkable Hold Paste, 0.5 oz for 4 USD

My dad really likes hair paste and the fact that you can use it on wet or dry hair. My dad just likes to rub some paste in his hair and call it a day. I like effortless style and I am considering getting my bf some hair paste. I love hair paste myself for grip on braids. This seems like a TON of product, though. My dad will have months of use since you only need a little bit, no matter your hair length.

PLANT Get It On Body Wash, 1 fl oz for 2.22 USD

My dad laughed at the name and is intrigued enough to give it a try. It is a one time use sample, but you can usually know with body wash. The smell isn’t amazing, but if it is very moisturizing, I would buy it for him for Father’s Day. Anyone has any Father’s Day ideas?

Declan Solid Squared, 1 ct for 30 USD

My dad told me that I could have the pocket square. I told me to put it away until he has a fancy suit worthy even to go to like my wedding. This will be sitting for a long time. This was really ill suiting for my dad.

Word. Notebooks, 3 pack for 10 USD

My dad loves this little notebooks for writing out shopping lists or things he wants to remember. They are nice little notebook that are easy to just throw in a bag and go. These will make shopping so much easier!

This month’s subscription is worth a whopping 47.22 USD, which is double the subscription cost! This is a really great value and well worth the money. I did cancel the subscription and Birchbox assured me that I will not lose my points. I will be ordering something from them soon! An early Birthday treat to me, myself, and I. It’s all about me, me, me, me, and everybody. lol If you know where that song lyric is from, high five!

I’ve Been Lazy

Heya Aspiring Gurus!

I’m sorry about not posting my update yesterday. I was at the dealership until 7 and then I went out for dinner. By the time I came home, it was ten o’clock and I watched a couple of episodes of The Hart of Dixie until I passed out. Let me just say that Dani has gotten me obsessed with The Hart of Dixie! Why haven’t I watched this show sooner?! Seriously! It is so good! I am either on the 6th or 8th episode already. I have GOT THE CAR!!! Yes, all of my sacrifice has been worth it. I am leasing a new 2014 Chevrolet Malibu LT in White. I am signing the papers on Monday or Tuesday and will have the car on Tuesday or Wednesday. YAY! I am so excited! When it is in my possession, I will give you guys a tour of my new car!!! I am getting my license by the end of the summer, so that I can drive myself places.

Of course, my dad will still use the car, since we have to share the one vehicle. I’m okay with that. I don’t really like to drive. It makes me sick, but I need to toughen up and just do it. My dad isn’t going to be around forever and I doubt my bf will want to be my chauffeur for the rest of his life. I’m so excited though! It’s a 36 month lease, while I save up money for a house. I am going shopping tomorrow, so get ready for a haul! Umm…I think that is it right now. Oh, wait! I got the Carefree Voxbox from Influenster, so you will see that in a next post as well.
